I visited this place for the first time just few days ago (end od Dec 2013), so just after Martin became first Polish top chef. It was Saturday around 6pm, and we had a booking for 3, but it was possible to find free table without booking.
Focaccia, that we got as a free starter was considered a little bit too salty by my mum, but it was a really nice starter - we became more hungry rather than full with bread . We started with empanadas and they were really delicious - not too greasy, with nice taste - not too mild.
As the main course we had 3 different meat meals - rostbef New York Steak with green pepper as sauce, Rib Eye Steak with BBQ and Chimichurri sauce and Lomo con salsa de u vas (Sirloin with black grape's chutney). Waiter was really helpful when advising on how we want our meat to be served - I went for medium sirloin and my parents got their food medium well. It really met our expectations - as for the structure of the meat but also for the taste - all 3 portions were delicious and I personally loved mine the most, but my parents were also satisfied. Sauces were nice and went well with meat, I got mine served with potatoes pure, grapes and beans and I really loved it. It was a fair portion and everyone was full and satisfied. Everything came in the same time, was in good temperature etc. The only minus - chips served with steaks were nothing special - I would rather expect more from them - they didn't taste like homemade chips - more like ordinary frozen stuff you can get from store, but besides I fall in love with food and for sure will come back. At the end we tried one dessert - Flan de dulce de leche and it was also really nice, not too sweet, portion just ok to go after big meal to give you some sweet flavor:).
And before posting I already went there for the 2nd time on 31.01 with my friend- maybe because of this specific date my impression was a little bit worse - there was no focaccia served at the beginning so now I'm not sure if they generally offer it or not. We got octopus from starters menu and to be honest I expected something bigger or at least with more octopus - it is really small portion in my opinion, with more potatoes than octopus but with really good taste. I also tried chorizo sausages and the portion was huge as for me, but without any sauce served - had to order one and maybe a little bit too salty in its taste - generally I would rather recommend it for sharing or for a man, cause for me the last from 3 sausages was more like a fight not pure pleasure :). Waiter was helpful offering us good wine recommendation - especially we are both unique and prefer white even with meat ;-). To sum up recommended to meat lovers, and those who want to get full meal, wine and conversation, nice atmosphere, nice food, good service, and as for portions, location etc., reasonable prices.:). read more
