I stayed at this gem this week. Great communication on how to enter the building, I like that it is secured from the outside. The owners took great pride and care in restoring this historic building. Beautiful touches, comfortable bed, amazing linens, and very clean. It's a beauty, book your stay when you're in the area.

What a fantastic place! We stopped for an overnight while traveling on our motorcycle from Boise to Bend. The owners were super communicative and friendly. The room was so comfy and absolutely beautiful! The hotel was quaint and had such a cool eclectic vibe, like stepping back in time. Wish we'd been able to stay another night!

This place has so much more than you can see through pics and videos on the internet. Seamless check-in, great owners, and best beds in town. Back patio is great for meeting and conversation with other guests. I was traveling through town for work and they had the only rooms in town. Boy did I score big with this hotel! Burns hidden treasure, give it a try it won't disappoint!

Incredible new cool dining opportunity in Burns!! Great beer selection and delicious food! We were planning to eat at the nearby Mexican restaurant (per the recommendation of our dear friend Tim) but lucky for us they were closed, so we walked over to the Chinese place but noticed this cool rooftop dining area down the street. We went to check it out and BAM! Discovered this EXCELLENT new taproom and food cart behind the Historic Central Hotel. The western chicken sliders with sweet potato fries were melt in your mouth yummy. Fish tacos had that cilantro white sauce that really brings the taco to heavenly status. And French fries with my fish tacos? Yes please! Really good crunchy fries. Food truck owner "Beer Dog" really knows how to put flavors together. Great menu with daily specials. Everyone was friendly and welcoming! Only bummer is they have super limited hours (Thursday-Saturday 4pm-8pm), but that may change eventually. Also, it's all outside so may be weather dependent. Although they do have fire pits. They also have cornhole. And the bathrooms are really cool! With this place in town, I could live in Burns. We will be back, again and again!

Such an amazing place. There was really no reason to stay in Burns before now but Jen and Forest have begun the swing..... we stayed at the CH as a base camp so we could explore the Steens and Round Barn areas, and it did not disappoint. Heather was incredible and the cleanliness and character of the hotel was so much fun. We will be back when it is better weather to hike and play in the hills.

My hubby wanted to move in! He really did. LOL Between the amazing restoration and the cute and historic decor to the huge shower and the comfiest bed, this place is 10 stars! We were traveling from Crater Lake to Boise and found this gem. The check-in is so simple with codes. The room was decorated in my words as "retro chic ". LOVE. The room was so clean and smelled fresh. I loved all of the furniture and lighting Including the most amazing hanging shelf. The king size bed is perfect and bedding was luxurious. (they wrote "Welcome" on the blanket with their finger.) The beautifully tiled shower is humongous and the toiletries were name brand and smelled delicious. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, a lot of the restaurants in town were closed. So we hopped on over to the grocery store and made up a charcuterie plate to enjoy with wine. We didn't get to experience the tap room or tour the Boiler Room but hope to visit again when these are available. Heather has suggested in her welcome text to visit the hot springs nearby. It was an amazing visit to this wonderful hotel.

The coolest boutique DIY-style hotel I've ever stayed in--and it's in Burns Freakin' Oregon! The owners have paid every attention to detail--perfectly-designed cozy rooms (staying in Gold Digger) to a little walk-up coffee bar with a few cans of beer/cider in the mini fridge to wet your late night whistle. HC will be my go-to oasis for future business trips for sure. Kudos and keep up the good work!

The neon sign out front reflects the entire well done touches of this hotel.

But I'll tell you , as bad as the guy at the front desk , He made damn sure the following morning , we got our Yoghurt , bagels , and nutrition bars . Coffee , too . Yeah , he's an underachiever , but his heart is in the right place . They take dogs , when others wont. Rooms are what they would look like from the outside . Get my drift ? All is good . DO NOT STAY HERE…read more TLDR: Disgusting, bad service, owner lied to me, plus pool was empty. I had such a bad experience, we left without staying the night; not only will I never stay at this hotel, I will never stay at another Wyndham hotel. This was absolutely disgusting. I arrived around 10:30pm after having made a reservation two days earlier. When I arrived, there were three separate groups in the tiny lobby. They told me they had all made reservations but that upon arrival, no rooms were ready. Now, ostensibly, a hotel worker was cleaning the rooms. Everybody has been told the rooms "were already clean; they just need fresh towels." They said a hotel worker had disappeared ten minutes prior, leaving them alone in the lobby. After I had been standing around for another five minutes, a man showed up and got stuff moving... sort of. Everybody kept getting told that the rooms were all clean "they just need fresh towels." Meanwhile an (apparent?) hotel employee was wheeling dirty bedsheets around without a shirt on. When it got to my room, I was told that the system had erroneously put me in a room that hadn't been cleaned but that they had clean rooms so I would just be moved, No problem. Ok, I say, let's go to the room then. Dude keeps stringing me along, engaging me in conversation, I'm guessing to keep me from going to the room. Dude (who claims to be the chain owner's son, down from Canada) tells me that since the first employee is busy, he'll go get another employee. So another dude shows up, REEKING of weed, heads to clean my room. When we finally get to the room, we are knocked over by the smell of chemicals. The two men are in the bathroom, still cleaning. The bed is made but not in a way that would have passed an inspection. When I scoff, the owner says that this is one of the nicer rooms they have, freshly remodeled. I tell him that he's clearly been lying to us, which is what I was saying all along. Part of the problem here is that the guy was a somewhat convincing liar. I mean if the situation hadn't been so GLARINGLY bad, according to his face and tone, I might believe that he was telling the truth. He was a likable guy. Among his lies, he told me multiple times that he had already inspected the room and taken photos of it, even. Now the employees were "just mopping the floor"??? At one point an employee comes out with the shower curtain balled up and says to the other, "we're going to need a new shower curtain." Wtf was happening in the shower that the curtain needs REPLACED at 11pm, and how would this room have passed inspection earlier in the day? Some other guests popped out of their room to complain and said their room smells like Raid and its full of giant, flying bugs. I look in my room and sure enough, at least a dozen huge flying bugs are there in the first four feet of the room. I don't even mind bugs but this was overwhelming. Those folks also said that one of their beds didn't have a top sheet. We took our stuff inside the room and continued to wait while the employees cleaned but we couldn't even breathe in there it was so nauseating. So after waiting for 45 minutes at this point, we just packed up our stuff and left. Another funny detail was a sign that said all pets must be on leash but a big, shaggy, dirty dog with no collar wandering around seemingly without a human. Dog was also in the breakfast area. To top it all off, the pool was completely drained. This property DOES NOT MATCH ITS PHOTOS! Do not book here!

This place seemed completely vacant; without a car in the lot or a person in sight; the reason became apparent when a woman emerged from the office, standing in the door, in her 'housecoat', she watched me sitting in my car, were I was wondering if I should take a chance on the only motel with clear vacancies. I decided it looked like a really bad idea- broken windows, not another soul around, no review of any kind anywhere, that housecoat- maybe it wasn't even open. I began backing out of my parking spot, and the woman started yelling at me, "That's right, bitch! And don't come back! We ain't a f*cking parking lot." Yep. Was glad I got out of there when I did. I bet they didn't even have free coffee or wi-fi!
