Update: I have since used His and Hers Handy Services for additional projects and continue to be very satisfied with their work. One project was to hang some wall panels in my garage. They did a great job of cutting the panels to my specifications, installing the trim, and working around an electrical outlet. They also did some electrical work for me -- mainly installing a ceiling light in one of the bedrooms. This required installing an electrical box and wiring it to an existing wall switch (that they replaced with a dimmer switch). They did the work with minimal disruption to the drywall, which they patched up nicely such that all I need to do is sand and paint. read more

We brought out His and Hers to install cabinets in our laundry area. They did a great job with the cabinets, but brought everything to a new level by showing us how the dryer repair people we'd had in hadn't connected our dryer back into the wall. They alerted us to a clog in our vent that was potentially very dangerous. They also gave us solid recommendations about who could fix this. Installed a nest outdoor camera, replaced our non functioning CPI doorbell camera with a nest doorbell camera, fixed a kitchen cabinet that the hinge was malfunctioning. Hid the wire for the nest outdoor camera in the wall (which I didn't even think to ask for). Very nice and professional husband and wife team. Arrived wearing masks which put my wife at ease. We had Jim and Lynne here to do a number of services that have been on our To-Do list for quite a while. What impressed us the most is that they wore masks without being asked to do so, took their shoes off, did thorough and complete work, and cleaned up afterwards. We highly recommend this couple for household handyman work. For our one year old home, we asked them to install two grab bars in the shower, one in the toilet room, and one in the garage stairway, put film on a window above the shower, and install a Ring doorbell. All jobs were done with care and thoughtful planning. They had us try out each grab bar to find the exact location to put it. They even helped us figure out how to set up the Ring doorbell - including WiFi and email passwords too (not so easy for people over 65!). As one other reviewer stated, it was like having friends come over to help out with odd jobs. We have other jobs that we are already planning to call them to come help with. read more

All I can say is WOW!!! I needed some things done around the house, and I was very skeptical that Jim and Lynne would show up due to Hurricane Harvey last month. They texted to confirm the night before the appointment, and they showed up on time and ready to work. They even got a flat tire on the way over and managed to show up on time. I hated my old leaky kitchen faucet, and they swapped it out with a new one I'd bought. They installed a dimmer for my recessed can lights (that I rarely used for 8 years because they were too bright), and they worked on my range hood fan/motor (which was shorted out, so I'm ordering parts and they're coming back to finish at a later date). I even had them look at my stairway railing that had been pulled from the wall. Several people have looked at that issue and have been stumped, and they figured out a way to fix it on their next trip. They were a blast to work with and were extremely professional and courteous. And they teach you as they work, which I always appreciate. It felt like two friends coming over to fix something, and I couldn't have felt more comfortable having them in our house. My husband and I just bought a house and were looking for a handyman to do some small repairs from the inspection report. I am so glad I found these 2! It's always sketchy when dealing with practical services like this because you never know if the company will over charge you for things they did or didn't do. But these people were as honest as it gets and the price was wayyyy less than what others had quoted us. They gave us a general estimate first so we could have a negotiation piece of paper for our sellers. But when it got down to the actual repairs, we found out that there were a lot of things that looked worse than they really were so required a lot less work on their part--which saved us time and money because they were honest about it. Our final price at the end of everything was about 75% cheaper than the price they initially quoted us. Happy customers when you get to save money and when companies don't lie about repairs needed!! They are a husband and wife duo and seem to be doing this business out of passion rather than profit. With that kind of drive, they'll only tell you what's necessary to be fixed so you can save your money for other things. They are both very responsive to all your needs and concerns as well. The last thing I loved about them was that they didn't mind us following them around (as I know some workers feel self conscious about). No show this am. I work, but my husband is home waiting. I check my phone and sure enough they texted a reminder but since I was at work, I didnt see it. The agreement was a 9-930 window. Now they send me a text indicating they may be able to come later. My husband called to cancel because he cant be home all day waiting. Much miscommunication. Very disappointed.
