Shout out to Sydney and the rest of the crew here. The food at Hirschchen was phenomenal. Authentic german food and drink 10/10. The location was within steps of our hotel and central to everything. The vibe was 5/5, the service 5/5 and the food and drinks 5/5. Night one we came to have drinks and catch up with friends who live local and experienced german beer. We ended up sitting outside on the patio on the chairs and closed down the place. The staff was so nice, they told us we could catch up even after closing and instructed us to leave our beer glasses next to the resturant entry. My beer was called Brinkhoff's 5/5. Yum! The following night we found our way here during happy hour and my dad tried their local dark larger beer made in Dusseldorf called : Schlosseralt. 5/5
The food was also top notch. We ordered Mixed chicken salad, fish and chips and their angus beef hamburger. My parents loved it. I swear food in Germany tastes different . It tastes like real food, organic beef, and i feel like we are getting cheated in the US. Honestly, everything hits different here, in a great way. Even the bread and cheese and chocolate. No longer feeling tired, inflamed, etc. On the next visit we decided, we couldn't leave Germany without eating their Schnitzel. My sister ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and i ordered something similar but with mushroom sauce.
