First off, It was not explained by Dr. Sharon Garcia that In order to stay on birth control, I would have to talk to the other doctor who is a male. Some people may be uncomfortable speaking to a male about women issues like birth control, like I was. Went here in 2020. Now had one consultation regarding birth control, and he was pleasant, and seemed to listen, so that's one good thing, however I was still uncomfortable talking to him. The final consultation was following up on my ACSUS result of the pap smear. First off, I didn't attend the consultation because I knew I was going to be recommended for a colposcopy, and my choice was to wait to see if the results clear on its own. After all, sometimes simple things like swimming can cause cell changes. Second off, upon research on my own ACSUS can be normal or abnormal- meaning unsure/unclear results. Third, the doctor used this as an cancer scare. Fourthly off, a colposcopy can often lead to a biopsy with a speculum, and I cried and don't really like the speculum at all, especially given that i cried because it hurt. Finally, in my records IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS was " refused doctor's advice". Also not sure if this was just the office or him, but the office kept calling me and pressuring me to make an appointment, when I said that I will call if I have problems. Even sent me a letter in which I ripped up. I felt disrespected and distrusted by him. Got my records from him and the office smoothly, and will never again go to the gyno. Don't recommend.

I could leave 0 stars, I would. I will be reviewing this provider on all platforms. I was extremely…read moredisappointed with my experience as a new patient at this practice. The appointment felt rushed from the beginning, and I felt that my questions and concerns were treated as an inconvenience rather than as legitimate parts of my medical care. I requested the bare minimum after waiting 9 months for this appointment. The pelvic exam was extremely brief, which is fine but I didn't expect it to be under a minute. when I asked the physician to address an additional concern where she had to bring the MA back into the room, and requested routine STI testing, she responded, "Ugh, you're killing me." Extremely unprofessional. That statement should never be used to speak to a patient. Additionally, I have a sense of humor and if she had been joking and not nasty, I wouldn't have minded. When I apologized and explained that I was just surprised by how quickly the appointment was moving because my previous gynecologist typically took more time, she responded in a sarcastic and condescending manner, including demonstrating how quickly a Pap smear is performed while rolling her eyes. Quite juvenile for a grown woman who's a medical provider. I also had questions about a treatment I had previously received and was trying to clarify what it was due to it being called something else at my previous gyno. Rather than helping me understand the difference, I felt dismissed and talked down to when she just repeated the same sentence, but slower this time, that I just asked for clarification on. I wondered if maybe she was having a bad day, until I read other reviews where she told other patients, and I quote, "If you don't like it, you can just have your baby in a bathtub at home". During the medical history portion of the appointment, I was also criticized for not having mentioned a prior TBI and neck injury, despite the fact that we were still actively going through my medical history and I was in the process of providing that information. Maybe she didn't understand that a traumatic brain injury can commonly include memory issues and the way information is relayed. I was so taken aback and embarrassed that I didn't address my primary concern of wanting to discuss a tubal litigation and endometriosis treatment. I've previously had surgery for it and struggle every day, and I'd like to review my options going forward. I was unable to even bring this up, and will now have to return to my previous provider who is two and a half hours away from me. What bothered me most was not that the appointment was short, that is irrelevant. It was the way I was made to feel when I asked reasonable and acceptable questions or requested additional care. I am someone who is quite comfortable navigating the medical system as I've had to do so for over a decade, and even I left feeling embarrassed and as though I was being treated like an inconvenience. I worry about how this type of interaction could affect a patient who is less medically knowledgeable or already feels intimidated seeking care. Furthermore, I worry that someone else from a marginalized group will feel even more unheard and dismissed than I do. I do not ever want to come to this office again, so I can't help but imagine that other women or marginalized groups will not receive the care they seriously need when a provider acts like this. To treat someone with a disability in the manner that she did is abhorrent and intolerable. I left feeling dismissed, unheard and uncomfortable, and I will be looking for a different provider. I do not trust that a provider at the same practice can treat me without being biased by her account, my complaint, or whatever my chart notes might say. I've had this new patient appointment for 9 months and will now have to transfer practices. Additionally, I see many public reviews of her. There are a bunch that are positive, which should be the bare minimum and gold standard. It's incomprehensible to read all of her negative reviews on Google and the crystal run website and see that she still has a job. Being helpful and listening to clients is literally the bare minimum. I am disgusted with this provider and will be transferring all of my crystal run providers to any other practice available.
