A few friends and I stopped by Ichiro Izakaya Yakitori on a Saturday afternoon right when they…read moreopened at 4:30, and there was already a line forming outside. If you've been wanting to try this place, I'd definitely recommend arriving early. Parking was probably the most challenging part of the visit. There was a rummage sale happening nearby, so the area was busier than usual. They do have a designated parking lot, but it's very small and fills up quickly. Most people will likely need to rely on street parking, which took a little patience that day. The restaurant itself is tiny, but that's part of the charm. There's a bar area that seats around 10 to 12 people and only a handful of tables. We were a party of three and were seated right away, but I could see larger groups having a harder time finding space together. The tables are also on the smaller side, so once the food starts arriving things can get a little crowded. That said, the food completely lived up to the hype. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, the marinated ribeye was tender and packed with flavor, and my favorite dish of the night was easily the beef yakisoba. We each ordered a starter, three skewers, and a side that our server recommended, and every plate disappeared quickly. The atmosphere felt lively and busy, with Japanese figurines and decorations displayed throughout the restaurant. I overheard another guest mention that it reminded them of places they had visited in Japan, which made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. One thing to note - we were told they don't split bills, which wasn't a problem for our group, but it's something to know ahead of time if you're dining with friends.

Something to know before choosing this spot is that it is tapas inspired so a majority of the items are small plates and the skewers come with one skewer per plate. Okay now for the goods, we ordered the following items: Starters Tebasaki Chicken Wings (5) Dumplings (6) Egg rolls (2) Skewers, seafood and sides Negima (chicken thigh) Scallops Shishito peppers Kamo negima (duck) Sweet Soy Ribeye Yakiton (pork belly) Kimchi bacon fried rice Naan bread The must haves that everyone should order are definitely the wings and egg rolls. The wings were almost like a Japanese style lemon pepper. Incredible and seasoned perfectly. The egg rolls had the most crunchy and perfect texture, the filling was balanced and the dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. For the skewers my favorite were the chicken thigh and pork belly. The seasoning and cook on both were spot on. The ribeye was good but it could have been cooked a little less, the duck was okay but the sauce is incredibly tart and needed a hint of sweetness and the scallops were cooked well but desperately needed some salt. The kimchi fried rice was delicious, they nailed the combo of salty bacon and kimchi with the fried egg and rice. Shishito peppers and naan were both good as well, peppers were crunchy and the naan has this incredible sticky sweet sauce on top. Our service was also great, the waiter explained the menu and even though the restaurant became busy he still maintained communication. Overall, we will absolutely be back. It's one thing to have a concept and another to execute it and they've done that. Great vibes, awesome service and delicious food.

It's not my favorite spot, but it's convenient whenever I'm at Fort Worth craving for ramen. I highly recommend this over Wabi House, and certainly over any of the ramen wannabe restaurants throughout Arlington and Euless. The good stuff: whenever I visit, staff was always welcoming, friendly and prompt. Food doesn't take a while to come out, and it's always hot and fresh. Noodles are wavy and thick, and the soup is delicious. Keep in mind their broths taste saltier than other ramen places, but I personally don't mind. The one thing I have qualms with is how they do the meat; the chashu is too chewy for my preferences. Service is always great. I'll be coming back whenever I'm around town.

They are always happy to play along, and they have given us some great choices over the years. The ambience is another big reason I love this place. The restaurant is always well-kept and clean, and I really appreciate that the music isn't overly loud, so you can actually enjoy your meal and conversation. The hibachi experience is always fun! Whether you order steak, chicken, salmon, or another option, the chefs keep you entertained and engaged throughout the cooking. It's especially fun when you're celebrating a birthday--they'll sing for you and make it feel special! One thing to keep in mind is that it can sometimes take a while to get seated on the hibachi side, especially on weekends. At times, they also wait to fill the tables before getting started, so be prepared for a little wait during busy hours. Overall, though, we really enjoy coming here. The food, atmosphere, entertainment, and experience make it one of our favorite hibachi spots, and I think the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Hesitantly we decided to eat before we stopped off at Lowe's and headed back to finish. Stay with me here. We were a little dirty. Not filthy. Not like we had mud all over us but dressed in work out clothes. Super casual. We entered and asked for a booth, The hostess took us to the back end of the booth where there were tables filled with other patrons. I wanted a bit more privacy and asked her to sit one booth back. She said no. Not to be deterred I sit down at the booth we wanted and felt most Comfortable. We wanted some privacy and not have people all around us. The request was to literally sit one booth back...this hostess wasn't having it. She literally demanded we sit at her booth of choice. Today, it became a "I'm not moving". She "slams" the menus and walks off. That behavior had to be addressed. I'm a reasonable person but expect a certain level of customer service. After all the price of eating out....isn't cheap these days and We eat here all the time. In fact, I became the DUKE again when checking in today.... #1 patron! I take great pride in the title. I discussed my frustration with the manager. When I asked to speak with her the hostess pointed to a manager sitting at the table vs going and getting her. Rude was an understatement. The manager didn't seem overly concerned. All said, the food was wonderful. The Tuna Tower (we ask for no rice) needed more avocado. The Pan Seared dumplings Devine as usual and of course the crab Rangoon are other worldly. The spicy bad girl roll was tasty. We added cream cheese. My sister gets her usual....every time. Hibachi Filet mignon, fried rice and Ginger Salad. It's her absolute favorite and she enjoyed every bite. I don't think one person should drive the overall review but today's experience was stressful...The food 5 Stars. Consistent. That said the hostess has influence and today's 1 star review is for her an her alone. We also ran into Lencho. Lencho is the absolute best waiter. Sundays though he works on the hibachi grill side. Bummer. His smile would have turned the experience around. He's that good and we love him. This is the second time where We've not experience the best customer service. Kyushu ownership should take note.....Some southern hospitality goes a long way. Look no further than to Lencho!
