Hidden Japanese Yakiniku gem in Makati. Worth the detour.
We literally stumbled into this place while passing Palanca st in Makati and ended up having a really memorable dinner.
The restaurant is tucked in the basement of an office building, which already sets the tone. Cozy, quiet, very Japanese, with that industrial, no-frills yakiniku vibe. It feels authentic, not trying too hard.
We ordered the Omi Wagyu 5-cut platter, and every cut was excellent. Beautiful marbling, clean beef flavor, and best enjoyed simply with salt and pepper. You really taste the quality of the meat. No need to overdo sauces here.
Service was a big highlight. The staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful. They guided us well on what to order and how to enjoy the beef properly without being intrusive. You can tell they care about the experience.
Bonus surprise: they were running an anniversary promo, 30% off, plus a free dessert just for posting on Facebook and tagging them. Nice touch, but honestly, even without the promo, the meal would've been worth it.
If you're into proper Japanese yakiniku, high-quality wagyu, and a calm, intimate setting, this place is absolutely worth finding. One of those spots you're happy you "accidentally" discovered. read more
