This year I planned a company picnic and remembered how much I enjoyed them so I reached out for a quote and spoke to Daniel who from beginning to end what such a delight to work with. He was very thorough in explaining the process of having HipPOPs at our event and scheduling them was seamless. The day of the picnic Daniel shows up and was just as warm and friendly in person as he was over the phone. The moment he set up and starting serving, it changed the dynamic of the event. He served my team with a smile and the best attitude. He did not rush the process when making each individual gelato and he took his time with every person in line including the children. The gelato itself did not disappoint. It was very balanced and tasted so fresh. People went back for seconds and thirds. My salted caramel gelato was dipped in dark chocolate and coated with candied hazelnuts. It had a deep, rich flavor that was so delicious. The gentleman running the truck was very nice and the whole process was fast, friendly and efficient. If you're in the mood for ice cream, see if you can find a HipPOP truck in your area because their gelato is incredible. I tried their ice cream pops at a party that had their catering a few weeks ago and had been craving it since. I navigated to the address in Sheridan and was surprised to find myself in a warehouse district. It was actually really funny, I didn't realize that they didn't have a sit down location and that I navigated to their warehouse where they prepare the goods for their trucks. We were met by one of their employees who immediately took care of us and got us the ice cream we came for. He also explained that there has been talk about opening a sit down place but that they are a food truck kind of company for now. He was super friendly and clearly enjoys his job! I got a Nutella ice cream bar with semi sweet chocolate and caramel flakes (was craving something sweet and this seriously hit the spot). The ice cream is so creamy and despite being a frozen bar, it doesn't have any freezer burn which is so impressive and surprising! The actual flavor of the bar is great as well. The chopped hazelnuts in the center of the bar are a great addition. The other pictured bar is an Oreo gelato dipped in white chocolate and covered in Oreo crumbs. It was also delicious. Excellent service!! I believe the man who ran the truck's name was Asi, and he was phenomenal. Exceptional energy and customer service, truly after talking with him once, you can tell without a doubt that he loves his job. Service at the truck was fast, there was never a line of more than 1 person, and he also came around to our team (who hosted the event) many times to make sure we got our fill. The gelato itself was so delicious, and all of the tasty options to mix and match left me undecided for awhile! Everyone I talked to absolutely loved their dessert, and there were even healthy options for those that prefer (though I personally chose the salted carmel brulee dipped in milk chocolate and covered in pretzel pieces *drool*). This is our second event with HipPOPs and it was another smashing success. I could not recommend them any higher, we will certainly be bringing them back. read more

The gelato was really good - I got the pistachio flavor and was pleasantly surprised that there were real pistachio pieces inside. I recommend that flavor if you want something that's not too sweet. I don't get it?? I got 2 popsicles and it came out to $20 if you include tip. And honestly it was "just okay". I would have been fine paying like $10 to even $15 but $20 is highway robbery. Wow you guys better hippity hoppity your way over here because of how delicious these popsicles are. They offer so many flavors here that range from pretty normal to very unique to this place. My personal favorite was the mango pop of course. Anything with mango is a must for me and I like to keep it simple. But man we're these pops fresssh. You know I didn't know I would ever bother going to a popsicle shop but honestly best decision I had that day. The Oreo chocolate one was really good as well. The popsicles are just so perfect for photos and other fun stuff. The pretzel pop was okay and I'm just not a huge fan of pretzels. So I am not a Gelato fan but this is, by far, the best Gelato I have ever had. The Oreo bar was as close to real ice cream as I have ever tasted. This is a HUGE step up from the old school ice cream truck we were used to cruising up & down the street on a hot summer day. They literally have something for everyone. They offer a wide variety of gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt on a stick and they include a "baby" size as well. So you choose your flavor and move along to your "dip". Milk, dark or white chocolate. And then you can choose your topping that coats the whole pop. The combo was so fun and delicious! And if you don't want a topping or just want the plain pop, you can choose that too. Mix in frozen cheesecake on a stick and frozen bananas and you've got plenty of dessert options. The guys running this unique truck were great! They were patient with me while I was trying to narrow down my decision. They were quick once I finally did decide. Plus they were really nice and made good suggestions. $7 gelato pops! It's a cute concept and insta-friendly, but not really worth it. If you get past the food truck markup though, the flavor of the popsicle itself is good. I opted for Oreo gelato with white chocolate dip and Oreo on the outside. The white chocolate overpowered everything after a few bites and it was way too sweet. But maybe a drizzle or half dip would have worked out better if I'd been given the option (menu is not super clear). The strawberry sorbet pop with milk chocolate was ok- definitely not as crazy sweet, but I am more of a creamy gelato over sorbet person, so wasn't the biggest fan. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the mood for a gelato pop and cool that things are customizable, but prob not a place I'd keep coming back to because $$$! read more
