The lights were dynamic, bright and so colorful. From lobsters, to a giant octopus, a massive butterfly and a huge angler fish you can go inside, there were so many things to see! I don't think words do this justice. I think there's one week left (maybe) so run don't walk, and at the very least put it on the calendar for next year!

It must take at least a month to install everything and then troubleshoot bulbs that don't work. If you have never been there, you have to go this is just an awesome site. I cannot believe that they only leave one month between the Boston lights and then the Christmas lights because they're gonna have to take everything down and then put all the Christmas lights up. I can't wait to go. I mean it's just gonna be amazing. Long in depth reviews, but for this one all I have to do is tell you to go and enjoy because it's amazing. I would like to tell everyone is to bring a snack with you or eat before you go because the concession stand is very expensive just a heads up. Put on a jacket and some gloves and get ready for the Christmas lights cause I am so excited to see what they look like if it was anything like the Boston lights you have to see it. It's amazing. !! I really didn't count to any staff actually I didn't even see any staff other than the girl that was in the booth and she was fantastic right on .

We gathered at Dana Park for check in where we picked up our safety vests, snacks, flags, hats then marched out to the water. This is about a mile and I think the group could meet closer to the watering launch site in the future but overall it was fun to see the whole crew of us marching down the street. Once at the water dock we picked up our rafts and pumped them up. There were not enough pumps for everyone right off but eventually they were all full. I had a small portable one I could have brought but it would have been one more thing to carry. We got sandwich zip locks for our personal items. We brought gallon zip locks to put our cell phone and keys in. We didn't flip but it is good to have since I know people who have lost their car keys and camera before. The rafts we got fit us but it does get tight making it hard to switch or move positions. Be comfy with your partner or at least know you are going to be. They serve chili and hot dogs but we missed that since we floated up ahead. We docked along the side and I got some food from the vendors and brought it back to our raft along with a potty break. Some did bring coolers and drank but you are out on the raft for quite a while so either dock and stop or be creative. The fireworks don't start until 10:30 so we were out floating around for quite a while which was relaxing. There were many canoe and kayaks around right up at the front. The fireworks were awesome. This was one of the best places to be. The air was much cooler than being up on land with a zillion people. We paddled down and took our time as people moved along. We docked, deflated our raft, packed up our stuff and headed down the road. This was the fastest and easiest and best way to see the Fireworks! We are keeping our stuff so we can do this again! Yes, Best Project Idea!

This new holiday tradition uses over 350,000 LED lights to illuminate Boston's skyline. Blink! is a must-see holiday show, perfect for all ages. Nightly performances begin at 4:30 and run every half an hour throughout the property. The best place to see the show is near the giant Christmas tree. Then you can turn around to see the rest of the lights in Faneuil Hall blink too. The show isn't too long - enough time to have fun, but not have children get bored. I watched the show with a group of adults and we enjoyed it as well. It's definitely worth checking out while you're in the Faneuil Hall area!

They play pre recorded Classic Christmas Songs & sync them to the lights for a show called BLINK. They have the show numerous times each night after dark. They post the schedule. I arrived early not knowing how traffic on a rainy Monday would fare and was immediately welcomed and greeted by everyone! They were all very friendly, attentive and hospitable! I chose the red sangria, it was very refreshing and not too sweet. Then they brought out one by one the passed appetizers and laid out more foods on the serving table. I came from a work event that already had food so I wasn't as hungry as I would have been otherwise. Everything I tried was great! Loved the festive decor. Always happy to see some familiar faces and got a chance to meet some lovely new folks! Can't wait to try out the Yelp socks and will be using the clip for some chip bags :D. I had a great time talking to Yelpers and enjoying the delicious bites that Rosa Mexicano provided for the night. The taco bar was super delicious. I really enjoyed fixing my own tacos and eating them when they were still hot. The huge bowl of guacamole was also very good that I kept going back for more. I really enjoyed that this event was not too crowded and that everyone got to enjoy a second round of tacos. My favorite was the birria tacos! The meat was tender and super flavorful. I also couldn't get enough of that guacamole! There were four different kinds of yummy margaritas to sample and I think my favorite was the pomogranite margarita. I enjoyed the restaurant's decor and fully stocked bar. I can't wait to come back again for those tacos!

Admission to the event is free. As you can imagine, the event is crowded. Personally, it made me feel a little claustrophobic, because there was no organized flow of traffic to walk through the event & look at the vendor tables. (People would pass you by in all directions.) The poster advertises free parking, but when we arrived at 12:15 PM, the lot was already full. Had we known parking would be a problem, we would have taken the T or walked. The lion dance was fun to watch, and I was amused when one of the performers threw candy at the crowd of children gathered in front, making it look like the lion was giving them gifts. This would be a fun event to bring kids to, with a large children's area with lots of games and other fun activities. The food court had about 10 south shore restaurants including Lime Leaf from Weymouth (delicious thai!) & Beni Cafe (sushi). The main issue is that there aren't as many of the top-notch restaurants and the empty space is being filled in by the likes of Qdoba. I'm not interested in Qdoba and find it odd that a $50 ticket includes fast food. There are still some good standouts: Craigie Street Bistrot, Upstairs on the Square and Henrietta's Table are all there doing creative things. There were some upscale pub places that were trying hard. Typically, I think Harvest has the most creative stuff (one year they had popcorn with truffle oil and a homemade chocolate bar to promote their dinnner-and-a-movie deal with Brattle Strett Theatre), but this year, Henrietta's table stole the show with the berry shortcake. For Taste of Cambridge, it seems to have peaked and I don't think I'll be going back next year.
