"Just Because Someone Is On TV, Doesn't Make Them A Star"…read more The reason I write this review is to share my experiences with Luther Auctions In North Saint Paul. If you want to have a terrible auction experience, try consigning with Tracy Luther Auctions, they are rude and act like snobs, and what ever you have is garbage. I don't care if it's the Holy Grail, It's garbage. They won't want to consign it "because it won't do well there", they would say. I guess they are doing so well that they can turn away business, "Or they don't want to junk the place up". I once brought in a pair of crystal lamps and told them I understand all the risks, that if it don't sell for more then $20 I would get nothing, and was turned away, so I sold it at another auction for $225, It's just weird to me for a business to turn down money, but they are stuck in there little bubble. If you can somehow break down the wall and consign with them, they will get you good prices, I once seen a box of yarn sell there for $35 that someone consigned, but my stuff is not good enough. If your a buyer there, I hope you don't mind a sore back side. After the sales tax and the buyers premium it comes out to be 22%, So if you win a item for $100, you would have to pay $122. The items here usually sell for top dollar, but every once in a while, if you do your due diligence and show patience, you can make a nice score. I once picked up a biscuit tin for $42 and sold it online for $500. But it's OK. if you don't mind a speed auction and bad jokes, they have some good stuff, if you can keep up with it. Also find out what "times the money" means, It could save you some problems. Arrive early and inspect the items, they are usually flawed, and sold under the pretense "sold as is".

A fun way to spend a Monday night. Bargains can be had if you have patience. I've been able to buy…read morethe majority of my furniture at Luther Auctions at a fraction of the price of what it would cost retail. They have many unique items and it's good for people watching too.

Beware since management has changed. They don't walk around vehicles like in the past and videos…read moreare very short, they don't drive showing all gears work. Change price extremely right before auctions. Save your time and money you'll thank me.

BUYER BEWARE! Twin Cities Auctions is a terrible place to purchase a vehicle. The website says…read more"professional inspectors", but they don't even check any fluids but the oil! They only check the oil to take a picture of it on the dipstick. One of their own employees, Megan, said the inspections are not done by mechanics. What does "professional" mean when inspecting a vehicle? I believe most people would think that would mean a qualified mechanic. My daughter bought a vehicle and drove it home about 150 miles. The transmission needs to be replaced! She had the vehicle 4 days! The auto shop that checked it out said that the transmission was over a quart low on fluid. He said it could not have leaked a quart in 4 days. I called and was told it was outside the 72 hour window for consideration. The 72 hour limit is not on their website or in any paperwork you sign. I emailed them asking for copies of all paperwork that I e-signed - still waiting. I called and was told we will call you back tomorrow. It did not happen, I had to call them back. Twin Cities Auctions is not considered a dealer, so they do not have to abide by dealer laws. They talk about "unwinding" the deal, but then send you form letters via email a couple of days later. I don't know how anyone could work at a place as shady as this. DO NOT BUY!

What a trip! This shop is SO fun to walk around. I can't believe I haven't been in yet!…read more When you walk in, you'll be greeted by big taxidermied heads and gothic oddities from floor to ceiling. Truly, on this one I'll let the photos do the talking. There's so much to uncover here, many of which are a bit too spooky for my home decor but a blast to walk through! I didn't get anything, but my favorite items were the butterfly displays and the bug displays that had them in little mini vignettes like reading a book, smoking a cigarette, etc. hahah they were so darling and clever. Prices are steep but probably reasonable considering the uniqueness of everything here. If you're looking for a holiday gift for that quirky pal, come here! And even if you're not...you're gonna want to see this place.

I mean, what can you say about this place other than : awesome…read more a lot of taxidermy in here, but also a slew of other oddities you never knew you wanted. I could spend hours in here just looking and discovering things. This is really a place you need to see to believe. And take your time because there is something cool to see in every nook and crany. Need a stuff moose head? some old research beakers and such? A tiny puffer fish with googly eyes? A Jesus with a blond wig? Porcupine quills perhaps? A stuffed dancing goat wearing a tutu? Vintage photos? Assorted bones? Well, you can find it here. The staff is very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They even know the exact origin of many of the items in the store.
