Not sure WTF this is on ceiling above the bed!

CLEANING!!! Room smells like it's been smoked in! The couch and entire room is filthy! Hilton should be ashamed of having their name on this place!

I only stopped in because my Avis car rental location was located inside. They seemed to be busy hosting some school trip events so the place was packed with tables for vendors. Parking was a bit of a nightmare and had to go all the way to the back. Once inside, the staff were all busy on the phones or on the computers. I had to approach and say hello first before they would look up. That's disappointing for a hotel who's business is essentially hospitality. Not sure if I would stay here after that interaction.

What is this strange stain in the bathroom? Given that it's on the inside of the doorway, I'm not sure I want to know how it got there.

Our "mobility accessible" room didn't have enough space to turn a wheelchair from the entrance into the area between the beds. The electrical outlets built into the lamps were so uselessly loose that chargers wouldn't stay plugged in. And the outlets in the wall were absurdly far away from anything useful. One was just inside the door--useful to housekeeping, but not to guests. The outlets in the bathroom vanity were hidden behind a towel rack. There was a weird stain in the bathroom. Not sure I want to know what's up with that. My wife needed to ice her injured foot, so I had brought some gallon bags with us to fill up. The ice maker on our floor didn't work, so I tried the penthouse floor. There was no visible ice maker on the penthouse floor, so I tried the 12th floor. The ice maker on the 12th floor didn't work, so I tried the 11th floor. The ice maker on the 11th floor didn't work, so I tried the 10th floor. The ice maker on the 10th floor didn't work, so I tried the 9th floor. The ice maker on the 9th floor didn't work, so I tried the 8th floor. The ice maker on the 8th floor worked. Surprised? I sure was. The staff were cheerful and polite, which gets the Hilton Jackson one more star than the lowest possible.

    No trash bags orovided.

We stayed here to enjoy our Valentines Day weekend. However, we did not expect to see such poor care to the room. The front desk staff on the morning shift was rude. Great view with nice restaurants surrounding but it is time for an upgrade. The owner and general manager should be embarrassed.

Decent hotel that is somewhat close to shopping and restaurants by foot. They have a large conference space here so it can get busy. There's a restaurant in the lobby but I believe it was only open for dinner. They do have room service from a nearby restaurant but the service charge is pricey. Some of the elevators have an open view to the city as you are riding up. Decent sized pool with poolside cabanas too. The rooms were decent. Not as modern as other Hiltons but good.

    Clean towel?!

We are in covid and this place was disgusting. Rate was twice nearby places but we picked Hilton due to past experiences with chain. HH member Sticky cup residue on night stand. Body hair all over counter and toilet, water damage in bath ceiling Woke with bug bites!!

I've stayed in much nicer la quintas. Mobile room key didn't work. Two of the four lights in the room didn't work. All the furniture was old and beat up(desk was so wobbly and looked like it was going to collapse that I didn't want to attempt to use it), including the TV which was a flat screen but had dimmed and blued. The few soaps were a random mix like they just got whatever Walmart had that day. The wastebins didn't have liners. The door security lock was falling apart at the tiny screws barely holding it to the door trim.

Very nice and helpful staff. A few things in the room could be updated, but the staff made up for that.

Ok, this one's a mixed bag, folks. I've stayed at this Homewood Suites over a half-dozen times, so…read moreit felt overdue to finally leave a review. To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

Bathroom very large also and well appointed. Exceptional lighting. 2. Kitchen access upstairs for ice, free soda, coffee, tea or water, homemade cookies bt elevator or stairs. Wish we could have seen them in bloom. 5. Can order nicely prepared meals to room or eat in library lounge - breakfast or dinner. Def an old southern feel to the place. Cons: 1. Parking was tight and hard to to manuever but they did have a cart available for rooms that are further away - partially broken. 2. In downtown area, kind of dingy and run down - but somewhat charming w many old craftsman homes around. 3. Could have used some hanging baskets and annuals for more color and charm - would help brighten the mood of the run down area of town - 4. And wish theyd answer the phones. We left messages almost everytime we called (they were good about calling back). This leaves one feeling disconnected from a warm hospitable experience.

Monday night the shower door leaked because it doesn't close completely so I used numerous towels to dry it up. Set them out by the door and came back Tuesday around lunch they were gone but not replaced. Noticed the cleaning lady cleaned the room before mine then after mine, collected the towels but didn't replace them. Had to ask her for more. Realize Wednesday morning that the valet took some items out of my vehicle, hotel says the valet company is separate from the hotel. Had to get Jackson PD involved and I'm still missing my items. By Wednesday they still hadn't came into my room to clean it, no big deal I guess, I'm not a filthy person. Had to get my key card reset for some odd reason and my digital key in the app had never swapped to the new room and nobody at the front desk knew how to do it. Sitting at the desk Thursday doing some work. Just happen to look back a certain way and realize the bed is a bed like your house and doesn't sit flush on the floor. Immediately started noticing what looked like almonds or peanuts under the edge of it, a place a vacuum cleaner would easily reach, then I found a receipt dated 5/2025 from Biloxi Ms. had some issues with the ac Thursday night so I checked the filter and needless to say it hadn't been changed in a good while. Lobby is nice except for the glamour shots by the hour deal they do so you have all the local thots in their skimpiest taking pics. I do not recommend this hotel or downtown Jackson for that matter. It's all dingy and rundown and homelessness is rampant.

The staff I will say are great and try to help with what they can. The first room I checked into was so hot and filthy, I had to request a room change. Not sure why I was given a handy accessible room with a broken faucet, dirty floors and dirty walls. I know it's been hot lately (78F) but the AC units don't seem to keep up in this building at all. The temps in the rooms barely budge lower and sometimes even creep up! Also power seems to be unreliable as it goes out at least once a day! Building looks a little neglected with lots of hallway lightbulbs not working, and just small issues like paint and cracks on doors. At first glance everything will look fine until you start looking more closely. Breakfast is just your usual complimentary fare of eggs and bacon, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. You can make yourself some mini waffles with syrup if that's your preference. I did enjoy the coffee very much. Couldn't access the pool as the room cards don't seem to unlock the gate and staff don't really know why. Wifi is also very spotty at this location as I regularly get disconnected for 30-60 minutes at a time. No water is provided so you'll have to get your own. Showers are nice and large with nice smelling soaps. Unfortunately, no moisturizing lotions but Jackson is fairly humid so you might not need. Beds are large and comfortable with those terrible hotel pillows. It's kind of your no frills residential hotels for a decent price.
