Beautiful historic hotel and grounds (5-star). Comfortable luxury suites (5-star). Library Room dining had more of a pub feeling with round back arm lounge chairs, that didn't cater for comfortable eating (3-star). Also, a bit noisey and crowded, but it was Christmas holiday's season. Dinner was nice, though the kitchen cooked my steak well done and my wife's rare; should have been the other way around. Waitress explained that that happens sometimes (2-star). All staff very accommodating and pleasant. Highly recommend. Overall 4-star.

Stayed in the inn a night prior to an interview . Came at night and liked the way it was illuminated in the front. I checked myself in and got a room. Of course, the room no was 13. I am little superstitious about that number. I was too tired to ask for any other room. It was an extension form the main building. Decoration was average. Liked to see old fashioned lights. The closet could not be opened full , the bedside table was obstructing it. The TV. was too small to watch, did not bother to turn it on. Love to see some upgrades there. Like to have either net cable in each room. May be bigger TV. The food was good. Need more old fashioned decoration in the room. Love to come back again, definitely not in room 13. Hope to get a room in the main building.

Great place! It was built over 100 years ago and you can feel the nostalgia the second you enter. This was our first time at a B&B vs a hotel and we loved all of the extra amenities. We stayed in the Greek Suite which is actually in a section that was built 15 yrs ago. It was nice because we had our own side entrance/ exit to use near our parking spot. The room was spacious with a working fire place. The whirlpool tub was modern with a waterfall spout. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we added champagne and choc covered strawberries. The strawberries were some of the best Ive ever had! Cookies and drinks are available in the evening. The breakfast was served down the hall in its own room and was plentiful. The milk, juice and coffee station was self serve, you sat family style and chose 2 courses from a breakfast menu. The food was really good especially the biscuits. We ordered the grits, eggs, bacon option and belgium waffle. No complaints and we could barely finish it all. We also enjoyed the Library Bar near the main entrance. Its a cozy little bar with a fire place and craft cocktails. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Jackson because we already know where we will be staying! Oh and theres an awesome restaurant around the corner on Manship Street that will blow your socks off.

The Fairview Inn in Jackson, MS is conveniently located near the downtown area and adjacent to the beautiful campus of Belhaven University. This historic area provides a charming and safe haven for overnight stays with convenience to shopping and entertainment if so desired...although, I sought privacy and solitude during my stay. And the grounds provided many outdoor sitting areas with 100 year old magnolia trees and lush landscaping that was perfect for chillaxing during a couple brisk November afternoons. The historic home was fascinating with it's interesting features, was well maintained and updated, included a wonderful lounge, numerous indoor sitting areas, fabulous restaurant and rooms. The Chef has created unique menu items that were presented beautifully and tasted even better! The staff was attentive and very polite. Definitely recommend for a quick getaway or extended stay if you're looking for an experience off the beaten path of a typical hotel or motel when the experience matters!

Stunning. The rooms are decorated flawlessly. Grounds are fantastic. Breakfast was really good. A library with thousands of books on the Civil War, many of them first editions. I'm going back.

What time is breakfast on saturday?

I believe the daily breakfast begins early...maybe 6-7a until 11a, in a cozy dining area. The Sunday Brunch in the 1908 Provisions restaurant (which I highly recommend) is served on Sunday of course, beginning at 10a until 2p. Enjoy!

Ok, this one's a mixed bag, folks. I've stayed at this Homewood Suites over a half-dozen times, so…read moreit felt overdue to finally leave a review. To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

I stayed here for three nights at this Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel property in Jackson,…read moreMississippi. It was late April 2025 when I stayed here. It was nice little place to rest my head. This Hilton property is about walking distance from the event location that I wanted to be a part of, so it was definitely a great choice for me to stay here during my time in Jackson Mississippi. With that said, I found this Hilton property on hotels.com. I booked it once before my arrival here and definitely felt like I belonged here. It is a Hilton property, of course, so it had all the modern amenities and felt very comfortable here. This experience was very nice and felt like I was rested and definitely got my moneys worth. Although the cost of the hotel was between 125 and 199 per night, comfort and safety is very much important to me. I booked a room with the king bed, per usual, so I could be relaxed and have a good night sleep every night I was here. The hotel featured large enough space for their breakfast area and TVs to watch while having breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, they had a nice spread of breakfast items which included hot food as well as cold cereal, coffee, and tea. I enjoyed their hot food the most because that's what most hotels do for their guests. Typical breakfast food include bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, and either oatmeal or hashbrowns. Sometimes it's either a hot biscuit or waffles, depending on the hotel chain. It was nice to have that experience and nourishment for two mornings when I was there. There's always something about a hot meal this morning that feels great and for the day. This hotel does that and I'm grateful for it. The overall experience here at this Homewood suites by Hilton hotel property in Jackson. Mississippi was very nice and definitely would love to stay here again. I did enjoy the spacious lobby and the check-in process was very quick and painless. The staff here was very professional and friendly, which made it nice . I actually had a problem with my room key at one point during my stay, so they helped me out by rekeying my room key. All they asked was for some sort of identification. I think they had a swimming pool on site, but I never used it. They also had a gym room on site, but I never used it either. The room itself was on the third floor. The king bed was quite nice and comfortable and definitely got a good nights rest on three nights I was there. The room itself was very clean and was typical of any hotel room, as far as furnishings. It had a microwave and a mini fridge. The TV didn't work properly, but I don't care. I use my phone anyway so it's all good. The Wi-Fi was pretty strong so I used that during my stay here. Just complaining about anything other than the TV is moot though. For the most part, though, I stay here at this Hilton property, but possibly one of the most enjoyable because I was in walking distance to what I was supposed to be here to do and the comfort level was not surprisingly above average. Everything was good here and hope to be back sometime soon, if my future travels permit me to do so to come back to Jackson Mississippi. In the meantime, though, I will definitely highly recommend staying here if you are passing through Jackson or have business or pleasure in the city or vicinity. It was definitely a nice place to stay. It was like a home away from home for me, even though it was a short day. A weekend stay. This Homewood suites by Hilton Hotel haters to everybody and anybody who wishes to stay here. It's physically located at 2815 North State St. in the Fondren District in Jackson Mississippi. Like all hotels in the industry, they accept major credit cards. Majority of the bookings come from direct on their website or through third-party companies websites, like hotels.com like I did. As far as parking goes, they have enough parking to accommodate their guests at any given time, but check ahead to make sure because you don't want to be left without a spot for the night. Even then, you would try to find adequate street parking nearby to help you with that. If you like me, I love public transportation, so best bet is for you to see if there's public transportation routes from the airport to the hotel. During this particular trip though, I ended up using Uber because it was very convenient and doesn't waste time on Jackson's public transportation system. Whether you're saving money on travel or not, use your best judgment in budgeting was right for you. This hotel doesn't always have the best bells and whistles, but it gives you comfort and luxury at an affordable cost. Definitely try to stay here if your travels permit you used to do so. It was a pleasant and pleasurable experience. Hope you will do the same when you stay at this Hilton property in Jackson, Mississippi. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 3.0 stars for the prices but everything else was great! Support local! Interacted with 5 different ladies at the Front Desk and 3 different guys on the Valet Team; each were DELIGHTFUL and enhanced my guest experience. I love the Hilton brand, and arrived to this location after having left a Hilton in NYC (Time…read moreSquare). I'm attached to this chain, but let's say that this one in Jackson should lose its Hilton branding. It's a beautiful lobby, very ornate and stately. I was surprised at how nice it was when I walked in. I had high hopes, but it went down hill from the time I checked-in: #1 Key system was down upon check-in (after arranging for pre-check and digital key before I arrived) -- and had to be escorted to my room on the 7th floor for about 24 hours. I never got access to the digital key despite 2 different front desk people telling me that it should be working. #2 I was so happy to see a fridge and microwave in the room, but with that comes pests, and I was assaulted by fruit flies during my 4-night stay. This was the worst part of the stay. Really gross, as they were flying in my eyes, and face, and jumping into my drink cups. They were all In the bathrooms, desk, curtains, nightstands, etc. #3 By day 2, their app-based valet car retrieval service was down, and it didn't come back online until a day before my check-out. What was supposed to be convenient ended up being a delay. Kudos to the valets for hustling as fast as they could during the inconvenience. #4 Arrived at the bar/grill one night because the literature said they close at 10, and by 9:10 -- they were like the Kitchen is closed. Okay. Thought closing hours (ON A FRIDAY) were 10. #5 The literature in the bathroom says that they clean your room every other day. I was there 4 days before anyone serviced my room, and then they didn't leave any towels. I didn't noticed that I had no towels (I returned to my room late in the evening) until I got up to head to the airport the next morning. #6 Forget trying to close the closet door in my room -- it was almost falling off the hinges. The only reason that I don't give this 1-star is because it has the potential to be better. Convenient location. Modern/online amenities like check-in and valet apps. And the lobby space is beautiful and the rooms are nice and spacious. I appreciated the 24-hour valet and being able to get or drop off my car whenever I want. The upkeep needs to be better to ensure that all systems are operating at the level that we expect of a Hilton brand hotel.

The staff I will say are great and try to help with what they can. The first room I checked into was so hot and filthy, I had to request a room change. Not sure why I was given a handy accessible room with a broken faucet, dirty floors and dirty walls. I know it's been hot lately (78F) but the AC units don't seem to keep up in this building at all. The temps in the rooms barely budge lower and sometimes even creep up! Also power seems to be unreliable as it goes out at least once a day! Building looks a little neglected with lots of hallway lightbulbs not working, and just small issues like paint and cracks on doors. At first glance everything will look fine until you start looking more closely. Breakfast is just your usual complimentary fare of eggs and bacon, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. You can make yourself some mini waffles with syrup if that's your preference. I did enjoy the coffee very much. Couldn't access the pool as the room cards don't seem to unlock the gate and staff don't really know why. Wifi is also very spotty at this location as I regularly get disconnected for 30-60 minutes at a time. No water is provided so you'll have to get your own. Showers are nice and large with nice smelling soaps. Unfortunately, no moisturizing lotions but Jackson is fairly humid so you might not need. Beds are large and comfortable with those terrible hotel pillows. It's kind of your no frills residential hotels for a decent price.
