My floors look new, and now closely match the color to the connecting hallway. Everything is cohesive. Regrettably, I made the mistake of hiring my contractor (now former!) to previously refinish the same four floors. They made a mess. Fast forward, this team fixed the rough spots and welts, and, left nothing underneath the poly (e.g., brush hair, knee pad prints, etc.). AJ is a testament to flooring being a specialty, just as plumbing and electrical are. (Tip: All flooring services charge for moving furniture, as I discovered while getting initial quotes. So if you want to save a few hundred dollars, have family and friends help you move furniture before and after the refinishing job.) I personally will use this team going forward for my flooring needs.

We recently hired Matt to tile a large area in our home, and the results exceeded every…read moreexpectation. The workmanship is absolutely flawless. From the very beginning, Matt was professional, respectful, and considerate. He treated our home, property, and pets with great care. Despite working through several long, hot days without the benefit of air conditioning, he never once complained. He arrived early, stayed late, worked weekends, and was always willing to accommodate our schedule and needs. I even emptied all of my cabinets because I was concerned about dust, despite Matt assuring me it would be minimal. In hindsight, I didn't need to. He used vacuums, filters, and other dust-control measures throughout the project, and just as he promised, everything was remarkably clean when the job was completed. We are extremely particular about work performed in our home. Over the past 30 years, we have completed numerous renovations and remodeling projects. Without question, this is some of the finest craftsmanship we have ever seen. We highly recommend Matt. He is a true professional, as well as a kind, thoughtful, and considerate young man. We are already planning to hire him again for another project in the near future. If you're looking for someone who takes pride in his work and delivers exceptional results, Matt is the person to call.

Everyone worked hard - from the time they walked in until the time they left. The quote was great and inside the budget we'd allowed and we got a ton more than we expected - broken boards replaced, boards that had been replaced with the wrong wood were removed and redone with the correct, matching wood, a couple of boards that didn't lay completely flat were repaired, and so on. But the finished floors were the star of the show! The floors look new. Not repaired, not improved - NEW. We have a long house, and you can see a huge expanse of wooden flooring from one end to the other, and the effect is now gorgeous. We are entirely happy and we got exactly what we'd hoped for. We recommend Max and Luxe Flooring 100% and would use them without hesitation on any further refinishing projects.

He and his team finished the project in a day and he even came back the next day to walk through the house with me in case I had any questions or concerns. Ultimately a very pleasant experience! Would recommend.

After much consideration we…read moredecided to keep the original flooring, and needed to fine a true expert at doing significant floor repairs, as well as sanding and staining. Our GC recommended we go with Tan's Floor Service, and we're SO GLAD we did!!! Tony and his team are incredibly kind and competent. A few areas in particular that stood out to us: 1. Repairs were done beautifully. an 1870 house has a lot of different types of floors from 150 years of repairs... Tony's team matched the flooring very well (super thoughtful in the wood they chose). 2. Midway through the project, we decided we needed to replace the stairs. A lot of them were cracking, and moving in with two kids we decided now was the time to do it. Tony's team expertly replaced the stairs, including putting in the crown molding. 3. The sanding and staining was done much more thoroughly than wha we experienced with a floor crew we used in our current home. We recommend Tony and his team very highly! They were great to work with and did an fantastic job.
