I stayed for one night at this hotel while visiting Del Mar. I got upgraded to their king suite on their third floor. It was a huge room with a living room and two entrance doors. It also had a nice view of the pool area. The location was also nice and it was easy getting in and out. I think parking was $30 per day. The bedroom was spacious with a queen size bed. The bed was comfy but the pillows were trash. The bathroom was okay. It was also spacious but shower in the tub didn't have great water pressure. My stay was pretty quiet. Not sure if its because my suite was located all the way at the end but I didn't hear any noise. It was pretty peaceful staying there. While my stay there I did enjoy a drink and some tacos at their bar. The bartender/waiters there were nice but it took awhile to get items. My drink and food was pretty good. Overall it was fine for one night.

I had to stay in the Del Mar area, and this Hilton property was conveniently located. There were positives and negatives. Positives: Chill, small property compared to Hilton La Jolla/Torrey Pines; Good sized room; Located right off freeway; Big gym; Negatives: Dated decor and no wand in shower; I would rather stay here vs the Hilton La Jolla/Torrey Pines. The vibe is more casual and the gym is much bigger.

This is my favorite hotel so far in Southern California the rooms were nice the bathrooms were big it was a separate toilet with a separate sink area. The food was great top notch all Chevy items. The pool was nice it was big nice balcony view just a really nice hotel the art was magnificent all seascapes which I love definitely a go-to hotel. Next to the horse race tracks and a beautiful beach

Seriously sweet suites! Was upgraded to the Presidential Suite but opted instead for one of the updated rooms - the are beautiful. If they have them available I'd opt for them they are a major improvement from the older inventory. This one is 1st floor poolside with a private balcony. Check out the photos enjoy!

Had the absolute best stay here for my dance group over the weekend. Marjan and Frank at the front desk are so professional and accommodating. The rooms are so clean, pool is beautiful and well kept. We will forsure be back!

The beachfront views are beautiful and the whole place has a fun, relaxed Del Mar Vibe. We ordered a few different things and definitely had some standouts. The grilled prawns were our favorite, followed by the sashimi, and surprisingly Ques'ts fish + chips made our top 3! We went over Labor Day weekend and were still able to get a reservation pretty easily. Parking int he area was a bit difficult to find, but that was probably to be expected for a holiday weekend (there is public parking on the street + parking lot across the street). We ended up using valet, which was only $2 and made things easier. One of my favorite parts was being able to walk right down to the beach after we finished eating and spend a little time by the water. Such a nice way to end the meal. Overall, great food, amazing views and a really enjoyable experience. Definitely a spot we'd come back to when in Del Mar.

It…read moreseemed pretty popular since all the reservations during peak dinner time / sunset were booked, so we made a slightly later reservation around 8. They honored our request when we arrived to be by a window to be able to enjoy the view although it was already getting dark by that point, so it wasn't bright enough to really enjoy it but I'm sure it is a gorgeous location if we had been able to get in a little earlier! We had the grilled prawns appetizer which was so delicious but which also then surprised me with how bad my meal was after having such a great app. My husband's burger was fine and he enjoyed it, but the pan roasted chicken I ordered was just very bland. I'm not very picky but there was no seasoning on it at all, just a plain pan sauce made from the juices of very plain chicken. It was originally plated nicely before I took the photo I included, but I had cut into it to make sure it was cooked thoroughly before I tried it since it was very thick and it was cooked fine, just not seasoned with anything that I could taste or see visually. I had to ask for salt and pepper to add to it and our waitress never came to ask how our food was once we got it, so I had to wait for someone else passing by to ask for that. It wasn't too bad to eat but just not very enjoyable so I didn't eat most of it, and when our waitress came back to finally give us our check and I declined a to-go box for it she still never asked how everything was, so we didn't complain or bring it up. For such a good location and how good the app was, I would still recommend them just maybe not that dish!

We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!

I was heading back…read moreto the freeway, passed a pizza spot and thought "too bad there isn't pasta" then I saw Aqua Mare, and that they had a happy hour. I can't tell you how many times I've been here since May of this year, and eaten a LOT of pasta, but also some pizza, and quite a few meatballs. I even told my office about this spot and we had 19 people come in. Dining as a couple or just hitting the bar is great, the chef is from.....Italy, I can't remember where in Italy but I recall it's a famous wine region. My girlfriend loves that both the Chef and the owner are Women, and straight from Italy. I really like her food. It is not easy to get fresh pasta, and she serves F R E S H pasta for every pasta (that I know of). There are other things like chicken marsala, and.....seafood, although I can't recall all of them, I know they have a seafood soup because I've pondered it. They do have great clams and mussels in a spicy tomato broth. But I have yet to try the seafood soup. For a large party, I think it's important to remember a couple things, they have a smaller kitchen, so it comes out in waives, but it's not very noticeable. And the price, you honestly can't beat the price. I'm gonna emphasize that last one a lot, you can not beat the price. The view is visible from both their patios and up to areas in their bar. My favorite thing here might be the pesto, and I add salmon to it every time. it's the perfect post workout food.

He seemed like he was in a hurry the entire night. We never received our complimentary bread and had to track someone else down to get it.
