I had a really great meal at Frog. I'd been wanting to try it ever since I moved to London a few…read moreyears ago and now I'm disapponted I did get there soon. Most of the meal is classic fine dining gastronomy but it was well-presented, the service was great, and the food was very delicious. First impressions are likely to be quite good here. The space is equal parts classic and irreverant, and overall it makes you feel quite disarmed when sitting down; this is not a stuffy affair even though the service will attend to you regularly. The food itself was very delicious. Some stand outs for me were the parker house bread rolls with "chicken butter" (this was so delicious and decadent that I had too much of it!), the lobster "wagyu'" with caviar, and the beef with morel mushroom near the end; I always love morel mushrooms but the one provided tonight was perhaps the crown jewel of all of its fungi friends. Honestly there wasn't a bad note in the tasting menu at all. Frog strangely has a 1 Michelin star which is strange because they really deserve 2. Really great meal - highly recommended.

So many different levels of flavor and depth with each course and all of it was executed so well. Every single course was phenomenal--one of the rare times where I didn't have anything that I could've done without. My favorite course was the lobster poached in Wagyu fat and topped with Osetra. It was one of those life changing bites for sure. What a fun meal from start to finish. Definitely come here!

It's…read morequirky and cosy; the food is good, the service is friendly; and the bill will make your jaw drop - but in a good way. I was taken there recently by a friend who lives nearby. The exterior doesn't prepare you for what you find inside - not that much could. What you find is an intimate space, decorated in dark reds with baroque panels, rather like the sort of small 18th century opera house you might find in Prague or Salzburg. There are even little balcony "boxes" with tables accessed by vertiginous stairs (NB not good for long legged or tall people). The food is a mixture of French and modern European. There are vegetarian starters and mains, but the menu is heavy on throroughly meaty dishes, such as char-grill Lamb Steak, with crushed new potatoes, julienne vegetables and green peppercorn sauce, or chicken breast stuffed with minted minced lamb, herbal mash and Port wine sauce. I had the grilled Portobello mushroom, prepared with garlic and served with spinach and a roast pepper sauce; followed by roast aubergine strudel, stuffed with grilled asparagus and ricotta cheese, served with French beans and a tomato and basil sauce. Service was very pleasant throughout and I like the fact that they don't charge for a basket of bread. The prices vary depending on whether you book before or after 7pm; you'll save a pound on the starter and a couple of pounds on the main course if you go before. We had a very decent French vin de pays as the house wine. Pleasanter still was the bill - £55 (including service) for three people each having two courses, after 7pm. I'll definitely go back - or maybe try one of their other branches...

His refined Continental European cuisine is reflected in his menu. The regular menu is supplemented by a prix fixe menu with some tasty choices. The individually crafted desserts are not to missed also. The service was impeccable by the suit & tie servers. With drinks came a board of house-made olive & raisin rolls. Our group of 5 started with a variety of appetizers and all were amazing. Highlights were the Grilled Cuttlefish, smoky in flavor over black wild rice and the twice-baked Cheese Soufflé. The soufflé had an amazing leek sauce. Our friend said her Roasted Jerusalem Artichokes was one of the best salads she's ever had. My son (restaurant namesake) went with a 3 appetizer array as his whole meal with Cheese Croquettes, Grilled Cuttlefish and the Devon Crab Tartare, which was a work of art and taste. The entrees were no less grand. My wife's Wild Sea Bass Fillet was perfect in every way. From the prix fixe menu, my Vienna Schnitzel was super crispy and accompanied by crispy roast potatoes & shredded cabbage. The schnitzel was topped by a rich heritage fried egg embedded with capers & anchovies with flavors that married well with breaded veal. Do not skip dessert! Though the BlackBerry Soufflé might take extra time, it is absolutely worth waiting for. The daily dessert was a Ginger Pudding, though in the UK, it's more a cake with vanilla ice cream and I loved it. For chocolate fiends, the Chocolate Pavé with Chocolate Crumble & Damson Sorbet is killer.
