My husband order the daily special fish, he said was good. 2 of us had the tips, they were ok, not bad, not good, ok. My blackened tips had mushrooms and chunks of bacon all over it which I was not expecting - the description didnt mention that so I was disappointed. My son seemed to enjoy his regular tips. Our 4th person had the chicken sandwich, she was good. The meal was not bad, but nothing to get excited about - perhaps the cooking style more geared toward the locals??

I enjoyed the Small Classic from the small portion section of the menu and this was still a ton of food lol But it was so good! I got my hasbrowns loaded with onions, peppers and cheese sauce and it did not disappoint! The sourdough toast was also scrumptious. The workers were all wonderful and we even saw the chef walking out and about chatting with customers. Good vibe! I only wish they allowed dogs on the patio!

The atmosphere was pleasant and you could even carry on a conversation and it was the end of Happy Hour. The owner even was helping bus tables and was great to talk with.

As a visitor in this area, I looked for something that the locals thought was good. Tom Sawyer's…read morename came up so I gave it a shot. It's a reasonably sized bar/eatery with multiple eating areas, it has an outdoor patio and sits next to a marina. While the menu is very broad and offered a wide range of items seafood was what I was in the mood for and that's what I got. I decided on two pieces of halibut, one pan-fried and the other battered and fried. It came with a nice salad, mixed vegetables, and I opted for a baked potato with sour cream and butter. The salad was generously sized and I went with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The vegetables were okay, nothing exceptional but nicely done. The baked potato was nicely sized, properly cooked, and with the addition of sour cream and butter was very good. The fish, ah the fish, flakey, exceptionally tasty, nicely sized, and delicious! They were so well seasoned and tasty, that even though tartar sauce and lemon was available I opted to not to use it with either piece. I don't know if I'll have the fish again the next time I come here, but I'm sure that whatever I go with on the menu will be equally good.

Most of us had the Friday fish ($8.95 acye with salad bar) My wife ordered the chicken and youngest son ordered the blt. Food came quickly and the fish pieces were decent sized although the fryer oil could have used a change. Blt was a good size for a 9 year old but maybe a tad small for an adult. Wife's chicken was cooked through and done. For dessert I ordered the grasshopper and my wife and daughter got pie slices, you can't go wrong on any of those choices! Those were a 10 star! Waitstaff took care of us and checked on us several times. A gratuity is added to all parties seven people or larger so fyi. The place is pretty rustic and in the woods, but then that's the experience I guess, they had a hummingbird feeder up and there was things of birds feeding off it. For those that snowmobile the trail comes right nearby and the owner is a big supporter.

I showed the picture to the waitress, and she asked if I wanted the scallops and I said of course, just like the picture. The steak was not $26.99 as shown on the site. It was tough to say the least and a little over-cooked, never had a NY strip like that before. Instead of the 6 scallops as shown in the picture on their site, I received 3 scallops and was charged $15 for them. The owner said, "JFK Jr. wants us to eat roadkill and walked away." I paid my bill, left a nice tip as it wasn't the waitress's fault and then I walked away too. They have lost 2 customers and any future recommendations.

We grabbed a couple seats at the bar and were greeted by the bartender. She dropped a couple cold adult beverages in front of us and asked if we were going to eat which we promptly said yes! She brought us menus and we ordered a burger and fries and a special for the night - walleye fingers, also ordered with fries. The food took awhile and we weren't surprised because there was a sign going into the kitchen that kind of hinted at that in a humorous way. The French fries may be the best I've ever had, great seasoning, crisp and hot. The order size was borderline huge. The walleye was breaded lightly and tasted like any walleye I've had - great. The burger was reported to be great too. Not sure if I'll ever make it back, but highly recommend for anyone who's in the area for a great casual meal at a reasonable price. Sorry about no pictures, we were pretty tired from 6 days of hunting.
