As soon as you step in, you're greeted by Mothman- and other cryptid-themed trinkets and shirts (great souvenirs & stocking-stuffers). They have some pretty awesome original art for sale, which i didn't purchase, but did remind myself to check out again during future visits. There's a little hallway you have to walk through to get to the counter & seating area, which is spacious, has a ton of natural light, and the best wall decor. There's even a small restroom if needed. - because i went during the Mothman festival, i did have to wait in line, but not for a long time, probably 15 minutes maximum. Because there were so many people there, the staff gave me a pager that beeped when my order was ready, which was way more helpful than having to listen for my name being called. It took less than 5 minutes for my order to be made, so even though they were very busy, they were also very efficient! The staff were personable as well. - the ice cream itself was delicious. Naturally, i had to try the Mothman sundae, which i got with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. The chocolate was rich & the overall sweetness was complemented by stripes of salty peanut butter. I thought that the serving was a good size for the price

Nice little ice cream shop in Point Pleasant, WV when I was on a family road trip. The town is…read moreknown for the Mothman sightings from many decades ago, and they really embrace the paranormal to the point where some local businesses make it a theme. Aesthetically they nailed it, but outside of the gimmick this is your run of the mill ice cream place. Nothing is bad here, but nothing stands out either. I was a little put off by the lady in the front counter when I asked her what their best seller was. She looked at me with a bewildered expression and made me feel like I asked a stupid question, even going as far as to ask her fellow coworkers and none of them could give me a straight answer. I wasn't really pressing them for it, but the whole exchange was kind of awkward. Aside from that my wife and kids enjoyed their ice cream, and the sherbet I got was delicious as well.

Tudor's must have taken over another fast food restaurant. Same foot print. Older building. But it was fine as we were there for one thing- B I S C U I T S! Cute group of 10 or so senior men were having their coffee and breakfasts together at one big table. "The Board of Directors" were wearing their fave sports team. They were adorable! Nice sense of community. FOOD = I was on a mission- country ham with melted cheese biscuits. Haven't had one in 25 years! My husband HERD (IYKYK) so much about Tudor's, he followed my lead and order himself a bonus bacon, egg and cheese. He was surprised by the size, but happily ate both. He gave Tudor's a thumbs up! And I was all smiles, and with a skip in my step. Coffee and Coke hit the spot for the long day ahead. So happy we didn't have the complimentary breakfast at our hotel down the street. SERVICE = Ordered inside. 7am October on a Saturday. No line. (There's a drive-thru too.) Placed order. They gave us cups to serve ourselves. They give you a number for the table and someone runs your order out to you. Quick, hot food service. Maybe 5 minutes. Cashier was friendly and patient as we got familiar with the menu board at 7am. VALUE - Yes. 3 Breakfast sandwiches (meat, cheese and/or egg) 1 Coffee 1 Soda $20.00 for 2 people. Will we be back? If we lived in state, YES! Wish we had Tudor's in South Florida. However, my waistline is thankful we don't. Probably my fave fast food restaurant. Consistently good, fresh products. (Only negative, wish they didn't use styrofoam cups for hot beverages.

I'm a "Mothman hipster" in that I've been a fan of the flying cryptid since before he became so…read moreculturally iconic, so I was thrilled to see such a great collection of Mothman, cryptid, and generally cool goods here -- to the point I actually made two stops during one visit to the greater area. The folks working are really friendly and happy to answer questions. The store is spacious and has some goods by national and international companies like Squishables but also a lot of local and regional companies, which I really appreciated. My finds included an adorable Mothman plush, a couple stickers, a Mothman/Flatwoods Monster t-shirt, and more. There is a lot of variety in general but especially in available stickers and pins, perfect for souvenir gifting. And try the root beer. It's fantastic. I also had a lot of fun at the Mothman Black Light Mini Golf upstairs. It's reasonably priced, and the theming is incredibly fun -- kitschy fun but also a bit spooky! I would say that if you're sensitive to loud sounds (including simulated gunfire) and mild "jump scares", I'd skip the golf. However, my friend and I had a blast, and the gentleman running it was great. I'll keep stopping in when I'm in the area, and I've already started recommending it to others.

Right next door to the Mothman Museum is the Point Pleasant Trading Company. If your love of…read morecryptids and shopping brought you to the area, this is definitely the first place you want to go. For me it was a better, brighter, more enjoyable place to shop than any of the other gift shops on the street with lots of variety and interesting things to see. The layout is good and easy to move through, which mattered to me because I'm always trying to navigate with my small dog and the shop stays pretty busy. They had lots of apparel with some pretty creative designs, plushies, unique souvenirs and more. It's a fun quirky shop and you can definitely spend a lot of time in here browsing. You can also pick up some pretty rare gifts for yourself and others. I will admit I had to be selective with what I actually purchased because it's easy to fill up your arms/cart but the prices can be a little prohibitive so you will most likely have to make some choices in the end like I did. The store is dog friendly, but our pup did get a little scared by the large animatronic Bigfoot, so just beware . It's all in good fun and the employees really seem to enjoy the customers screams when it frightens them . This is definitely a must stop if you're in town, whether you end up leaving with anything or not, you will still have a good time while you're in the store.
