Things don't always go right, the water was off briefly because someone broke a line, but they had it fixed within an hour on a Sunday. That must have been expensive, you can tell they prioritize getting things back normal. Sometimes how someone responds to an emergency is more significant than when everything goes smoothly.

What's more, the pool and outdoor kitchen make this a great location for family reunions and celebrations. As a matter of fact, I'm planning my son's birthday party at the park. It is close to boat docks and the golf course. While it isn't right on the lake, like the other campgrounds, I like the fact that it isn't a cookie-cutter campground. It has character and is built with people who love the personal touches added to the experience. Call Shelly today and book your next adventure!

The bison are truly breathtaking. If you get the chance to see them sit and watch for a while. We were able to do some hiking and picnic. There's also camping and fishing and boating, but we didn't do any of that on this trip. We picked up lots of pamphlets at the visitor center, so we can come back again and try again. They have lots of help at the visitor center and are glad to answer questions. They also have a great little gift shop if you want to pick up a treasure or a Momento for your visit. We took the time to take the scenic drive up to the top of Mount Scott walked around, took lots of photos. We met people from all over the world up there. It was pretty amazing. I can't wait to go back and do some more hiking. We did stop on the side of the road to look at the Longhorn cattle. There are some of the original stock from back on the turn-of-the-century or release from the bloodline it's pretty neat all these things that you can do while you're here visiting I highly recommend it. It's a great adventure not just for families but just solo if you wanna get out and explore.

I've seen many beautiful beaches from Florida to Puerto Rico but this hike and midway views are the best, this particular hike is the first left turn inside the park (if I can find the actually name I will edit it in) it has a distinctive orange barn roof and fencing that you can't really miss, we did try and go to info where a sweet young girl pointed out this trail and way to many other things for us to follow along with so we went with this trail and have stuck to it, it can take 15 to 3 hours of hiking and exploring delinks on the type of hiker you are lol are you there for the exercise and views or the fresh air and appreciation you know!

It had a bedroom and a loft with another bed upstairs (both beds were full size). The kitchen has a microwave and stove, but no oven. It also has a refrigerator. There is a small TV with Direct TV if there's a game or something you just can't miss. There is also decent cell service (we have AT&T) and WiFi access. The bathroom had just a shower, which isn't a big deal for many people, but something to keep in mind if you have kids that only take baths. You have to bring your own linens. This is located on base at Fort Sill, but I believe people without a military ID can access the area with a visitors pass. In addition to cabins are tent sites and RV sites. You don't have to be camping to use the beach and other amenities like the playgrounds after paying an entrance fee. The beach has a lifeguard on duty and a facility with restrooms/showers. There is a little room for improvement when it comes to maintenance. There was peeling paint on our cabin, spiderwebs in many places outside, and a piece missing on our bench on the porch. There were seagull feathers and (dog?) poop all over the beach. Two of the three playgrounds were covered with overgrown grass (but to be fair one had a sign saying it was undergoing maintenance). Overall, I thought it was a great value at $90 per night. It's nothing fancy, but our cabin was perfect for "glamping" and the area is beautiful with picturesque views of Mount Scott. It was a nice, relaxing escape and I look forward to visiting again!
