It was a Thursday evening, after work I had walked in looking for something particular. I didn't have time to browse and they didn't have what I was looking for available, yet. However I was advised that maybe soon, they would. Fast forward to a few days later and voila, I was in luck. SavWay came through just like they said they might be able to. They were kind enough to call me when my desired beverage came in. I had only been looking for a particular beverage but I now had some time to browse what appeared to be a very good selection of wine. Recently discovering South African wines I was excited to see a selection that I pondered over for several minutes before making my decision on a Pinotage. A small number of varities had a well written description on a placard on the shelf in front of the bottle. This only led to me spending more time in the store as I wanted to read each and every description, but alas it was time to go. I proceeded to the checkout and on a Saturday afternoon the check out line was nonexistent I was thanked for my purchase made some small talk with the friendly staff and went on my way. I'm impressed with the friendly service, and variety that SavWay offers, I'll eagerly return and I look forward to reading more descriptions.

I visited for their Pacific Northwest Wine Tasting. The event is $10 a person and lasts two hours. Each location's wine management staff selects what wines are included in the tasting and can range from $10-$50. This tasting had a variety of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Merlots from Washington & Oregon. They have a charcuterie board with crackers, meat, and cheese to snack on as well as water. Although the selection is not as huge as Binny's, it's still a great place to try something different or pick up an old favorite (as long as they have it) Make sure you find out their delivery days because if a beer is a favorite it will go quickly. We have been lucky to luck out and find some good finds here. One being Bourbon County and various Rogue stouts. We also love talking to Pat who works the front counter in the evenings (well, the evenings we've been there at least) Definitely check this place out to see what they have. I've noticed they have a lot of the same beers Trader Joe's have. We like going here for the selection but it's an added bonus that the people are friendly as well.
