General - Our family stayed here for one night coming home from our spring break trip touring…read moreKentucky. We basically stopped for a pit stop and to stretch our legs (and soak in the hot tub while the kiddos swimmed). Location - Great spot close to the river. There are a couple restaurants and shops close by and within walking distance and you are also very close to the Vibrant Arena and Rock Island. Rooms & Building - My family enjoys Stoney Creek for their upnorth theming and feel. The rooms are always done up nice and are usually pretty large in size. This place did not disappoint. The room came with a fridge, microwave, and a small little bar area. Lots of space to spread out and eat pizza in our room for dinner. Amenities - The pool area is always fun at Stoney Creek. This location had a indoor/outdoor connected pool and the hot tub was large and could fit plenty of people. It was exactly what we wanted in our stay. Food - There is a bar onsite but we made our own drinks and ate pizza. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a lot of cold and hot options. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - As stated before, if there is a Stoney Creek in the town we are staying at, we probably will stay there. For the price vs. quality & experience, you can't find much better. We would stay again!

We had guests running up and down yelling at 4:00 AM and staff did nothing about it. We were in town for a VB event, had 9 families staying and made us pay $100 to use an empty room for two hours so we could order pizza and eat as a team. There is absolutely no reason you should choose this hotel with so many other option within 10 minutes. This place is awful, don't waste your money!

Parking lot is very well lit and right near the entrance to the hotel. The room is very clean, mid century modern in feel, and spacious too, and the bed is very comfy. Definitely check it out if you're in the area! Prices are very reasonable as well.

Lighting is great, room temperature controls work quickly, and you can't hear anything in the hallway (but if you have a bunch of 2-to 6-year-olds in the room above you, you'll know). Wireless internet connectivity is very quick for being free, so no need to pay for an upgrade. I went for a morning walk around the property before dawn (staying on sidewalks) and everything was safe (mostly well lit). The gym is large, equipment new and clean, towels are provided, and water dispenser works. No one was using the pool but it's there! Finally, I ordered food from the Bistro restaurant in the lobby. It's usually a bad choice, but not here. They put a lot of effort into the drinks AND food. I got the espresso martini (doesn't need the simple syrup, IMHO) and it was the best I've had in a while (people keep adding weird things to these drinks elsewhere or it ends up being coffee milk-- iykyk). The Turkey Avocado BLT (sans bacon for me) and side arugula salad (fresh baby arugula, cucumbers and tomatoes!!) was large and a great value for 12.50. They don't joke about the Texas toast and they aren't skimping with the avocado. The salad was large enough that I got it "to go" and made it my lunch the next day. The grilled chicken sandwich was also delicious and had fresh ingredients. Honestly, I don't have criticism to provide. Best business trip hotel I've stayed in while traveling in the Midwest.

If you're looking for a place that nails the basics but completely fumbles the rest, this hotel…read moremight be your spot. To start with the positives--credit where it's due--the rooms are genuinely clean, and housekeeping keeps fresh towels coming daily. The lobby and hallways are also well maintained, so at first glance, everything feels promising. Then you step into your room... and it hits you. Not figuratively--literally. The rooms are hotter than any food item you'll order during your stay. Adjusting the thermostat feels more like a suggestion than a solution. The breakfast buffet experience is where things really take a turn. That "steam" rising above the serving area? Don't be fooled--it's not from hot food. It's the warm, stagnant room air condensing above what can only be described as ice-cold breakfast options. Think less "freshly prepared" and more "fog over a lake on a chilly fall morning." For $19, it's not just disappointing--it's borderline insulting, especially when it can't compete with a free continental breakfast at a Motel 6. As for the kitchen and bar, consistency is key--and they consistently miss the mark. The staff appears to be both severely understaffed and impressively incompetent, which is a tough combination to overcome. The highlight of the dining experience? Not getting one. When "last call" for the kitchen was announced, I asked for a menu--only to be told it was already too late to order. Apparently, "last call" here means "last chance you already missed," which is a bold reinterpretation of the phrase. In summary: clean rooms, clean common areas, and that's about where the praise ends. Everything else ranges from frustrating to downright baffling.

Got there late since we went to the first dump and had to rush. Got to our room. As soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other, scrunched our noses, and said WTH is that? Smelled like sewer gas. We were in a rush to get to an event, so we had to go. We thought we would deal with it later. We got back at 2am, exhausted, walked into our room, and Bam! hit with the stink again. My husband asked if I wanted to change rooms. I was so exhausted, I said no, it is just for the night. I sprayed some poopourri near the area to try and help. Woke up 3 times during the night to the stink. Next morning, we probably got used to the smell. Walked into the hallway and back in, it still smelled. Got in the shower and looked down to see hair in the shower that didn't belong to us. Gross. Went down to tell the front desk about the stench before we left. They wrote it down. Will it change? I won't be back to find out.
