The water pressure in the shower was so poor that it was difficult to properly rinse off, which became frustrating over a three-day stay. In addition, despite asking housekeeping twice, an empty shower gel dispenser and empty lotion dispenser were never refilled. Towels were replaced, but a Q-tip remained on the bathroom floor for all three days, which raised concerns about how thoroughly the rooms are actually being cleaned. Overall: lovely staff and a comfortable bed, but basic room maintenance and shower functionality need improvement.

Not sure when the room and hallway were renovated, but it must have been recently. The bed was super comfy, the room was immaculate and quiet, and I had a great view of the wonderful holiday decorations that light up John Deere Commons this time of year. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful, especially Kristy, who directed me to several things, including the retro neighborhood liquor store so I could buy a "getting in" gift for Christmas Eve dinner. In the time of Covid, I appreciated that they enforced face mask use in the common areas. Didn't expect much from the complimentary breakfast bar due to pandemic restrictions, but lucked out... they had the Activia I eat for breakfast every day! The room came with a fridge, microwave, and a small little bar area. Lots of space to spread out and eat pizza in our room for dinner. Amenities - The pool area is always fun at Stoney Creek. This location had a indoor/outdoor connected pool and the hot tub was large and could fit plenty of people. It was exactly what we wanted in our stay. Food - There is a bar onsite but we made our own drinks and ate pizza. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a lot of cold and hot options. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - As stated before, if there is a Stoney Creek in the town we are staying at, we probably will stay there. For the price vs. quality & experience, you can't find much better. Threatened by staff multiple times that they would kick the entire group out and we were given curfews of 830pm during Labor Day weekend. If your kids were outside of the room they must be with an adult or you would be asked to leave. Families with reservations that were paid for arrived with no room as they checked in late in the night and staff turned them away even though they had a reservation and the hotel had charged them already. Come here for peace and relaxation only. Do not bring young kids and soccer/sports teams unless you want to be threatened multiple times with being kicked out for laughter and playing. Also our room door wouldn't lock and smelled like cigarettes. Would not stay here again! Grandparents welcome, families with kids need not apply.

Walked into the hallway and back in, it still smelled. Got in the shower and looked down to see hair in the shower that didn't belong to us. Gross. The bed was firm, but still comfortable enough. The pillows were just okay--I think they could use replacing because they didn't provide enough support. The walk-in shower was an interesting design, with only a partial wall and no curtain or shower door. Unfortunately, the floor became very slippery when wet, and I felt like I could easily fall. Adding non-slip strips would make it much safer. There was only one grab bar, and it was on the opposite side of the shower, so I didn't feel very secure. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. We requested room service every other day and even spoke with the front desk and called to follow up. Despite that, soap and shampoo were not refilled, toilet paper was not restocked, and the room was neither dusted nor vacuumed. The only consistent service was replacing the towels. When I asked the housekeeper if she had vacuumed the room, she simply replied, "No." We ended up vacuuming the room ourselves. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if the housekeeping had matched the quality of the staff and the rest of the hotel.
