Everybody loves a good trip to the Dentist, right? RIGHT?!?!?!…read more Dr. Florence is someone I actually look forward to seeing. He is personable, does good, quality work, and tries to keep in mind you have a schedule to keep when you are in his office. Sure, they get behind at times, but the are empathetic and do what they can to keep you on time. I have been going to Dr. Florence for years and, even when I moved out of state, kept him as my Dentist. Yes, I like their offices that much. Diane at the front takes good care to work around my schedule, handles all of my Insurance billing, and always greets by name. The hygenists work efficiently and also respect your schedule. There are only two "opportunities" at Pleasant Valley: 1.) Dr. Florence can be hard to get in to. All good Doctors are. There are two other Dentists in the office that can see you if it is time-critical and they both do a good job. 2.) There rooms are "themed" and one of them is a BYU room. Some may not see that as an opportunity but I am a Utah man. Finding a good Dentist is tricky and this is a good one to find. If someone is going to jam their fist in my mouth, I want it to be Dr. Florence.

The team was very personal able and answered all of my questions. I got my teeth cleaned and they took the time to highlight all the positive things and explain why they did what they did. I want to say it was Camille and Dr Jared. I was grateful that my self maintenance did a great job and have healthy teeth and they proudly honored that instead of trying to scare me into coming more regular. When it came time to leave , the checkout lady, Jodi , made sure I understood how insurance was covering what and what my obligation was and why. I asked the same question a few times because it didn't click and she gracefully made sure I was confident in what I understood. I also have interest in removing my amalgam filling and replacing it with a porcelain crown and Jodi made sure I understood all the ins and out of payment for that. Only concern I had was after my first x rays taken that I had to bite down on, I didn't see it cleaned before or after and that made me feel weird about the cleanliness of the whole office. Though the room I was in gave me a personal tour of the whole office being in back corner and I noticed the whole place was spotless which made me feel I just wasn't present for the cleaning. Overall great experience, fast service and I will go back.

Worst service I have ever had from a dental or medical establishment. I never leave bad reviews,…read morebut I'm just so disappointed and frustrated with my experience. I called and scheduled a dental cleaning 2 months out, and received countless forms of confirmation through text, email, and call that my appointment was booked for the time and date we agreed on. I moved my personal schedule quite a bit so I could make that appointment that was available because I knew I was moving to a different country shortly after, and I just needed a cleaning. Morning of the appointment came, and I drove across town to the office just to find it locked and dark. The sign on the door said "we will return 12/28" which was the day of my appointment, but no one was there. I called the office and just received their normal voicemail. I thought I was going crazy so I checked all of my confirmations and their office hours and sure enough I was there the right time and date. No cancellation notice or anything. I waited around for 30 more minutes before deciding that no one was working that day and left a voicemail with my name and number asking to be called back to reschedule. Days later and I still hadn't received a call back. So I had to call again seeing if I could get an appointment. I found out that the office had been shut down by the health department, which I understand is out of their control in a COVID environment, but they insisted that they had informed everyone that their appointments were cancelled. I explained that I absolutely had not received any sort of notice, even after they said I must not have my voicemail set up... even though I know for a fact it is. They refused to take responsibility that maybe people got missed. When I tried to get an appointment, I was told they opened up Fridays for those whose appointments were cancelled, but those were filled up already by people who had called before me. They only had one opening that just plain didn't work for my schedule, and there's nothing I could do about that which is why I scheduled so far in advance. Ultimately they told me they couldn't schedule me until February or March, but I will have moved by then. It's frustrating because if it were my office that didn't send notice of cancellation and had provided horrible service, I'd make the effort to cut into a lunch break, stay 30 mins after, or something to help a customer with a quick cleaning. Now I'm stuck finding a new dentist who will take me on extremely short notice before I leave when I thought I had scheduled an appointment with a trustworthy office far enough in advance that I wouldn't have to worry about this. If you want a dentist office that will not apologize or take responsibility for their mistakes and doesn't care about the quality of their customer service, then this is the place for you. My family has decided to cancel all future appointments and take our business elsewhere.
