Worst Taxi service in SA!!! I use taxis all the time and have never experience a poor service like this. I was so bad I decided not to take the Taxi. If you in the Hill use Mt Baker taxis. Hence stay away from hill taxis. read more

The drivers are normally friendly…read moreor overly-talkative and pleasant and the taxis are always clean and do not smell like someone has just done a 1 hour SPIN class in them. My biggest qualm though... Worst. iPhone app. Ever. It would appear that every time I am in a hurry to order a taxi the Suburban Taxi iPhone app either freezes or fails to search for a taxi. I have had 2 occasions where I have pre-ordered a cab (the night before) and a cab still has not been booked by the next morning. Why don't you just call them then Chloe? Because we live in the digital age and I shouldn't have to is why! Stubborn and very Gen Y of me? Yes. But when you can catch a cab from 4 different companies in Adelaide you need to differentiate to truly be great and this is one thing that now turns me off using Suburban if I need to get to the airport or an event.

They're generally pretty good/reliable and better if you... ...WORK THE SYSTEM: Live on a busy road (say Anzac Highway)? Quote your side street when ordering a taxi. Particularly important during busy times. Because they often drive from the city to get you, they're reluctant to come if there's a high chance you'll be picked up by another cab first. Even if you're waiting inside, you're better off telling them a quieter street. And if you've got an iPhone, get the app. With it you can skip the phone queue and tap directly into their booking system. Enter either an address or push 'iHail' (will send a cab to your location) and track the taxi as it approaches. Ahhh, technology.

Eventually another person at the vets offered me a lift once her consult was over. She did her consult, took me home and I STILL had to ring them to cancel the taxi FROM MY HOME WHERE I WAS NEEDING TO GO! The taxi's rank up only 2 minutes away from where I was so it's not like there wasn't a cab nearby! Short fares are still a friggin fare, it's still $12+ in their pocket. So over this attitude, I have cancer and my leg was broken by it, I can't walk even short distances. On top of that I SHOULDN'T have to explain myself to get a ride that I'm paying for no matter what the distance! I will not bother to book with them if there drivers are so picky to leave people standing around waiting like this. Totally appalling!

I must say I was impressed with the convenience of this place, especially since it's right in the city on North Terrace. When driving past, you just follow the signs that lead you to a car park around the corner where you leave your car. There was heaps of space so no issues there. You then take the elevator down into the building where their office is located and service was so quick that we were in and out in less than a minute. Perfect!
