Instead of handling the situation professionally, she became angry, started yelling, and repeatedly banged on the machine. She then stopped helping us, leaving the manager to step in and resolve the issue. The machine had already taken our $17 gift card when it crashed. Although we eventually received a replacement gift card, the process took far longer than it should have. It was a simple issue that became unnecessarily frustrating because of the poor customer service and lack of urgency. We also felt that we were treated differently because of our race, which made the experience even more upsetting. Overall, Marilyn's behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I expect better customer service from JCPenney, and I hope management addresses this so other customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

So my review is going to touch base on inside the store, pick up and calling in. The few times I've come here the parking lot is pure chaos, it's always packed in here and you can't find an employee at all in this store. It's pretty clean, very well stocked but you can't get help that's for sure and you aren't acknowledged at all. I've called in before to check on my pick up order (sometimes my flight is delayed and I miss my pick up window). I had to call 4 separate times once ,before someone picked up and even then she didn't have answers she kept asking the person next to her every question I had instead of just transferring me over or handing over the phone, she didn't seem to pleasant with her attitude. But everytime I actually do pick up, the employees who bring my stuff out are kind and fast and they are the only reason this place is getting the stars it does. They are exceptional and aren't like robots and they don't act like they hate their jobs. Overall- I have to use this Walmart because it's the only one nearby. I lined up at 5:30am and more people showed up from 6:30 until they opened. We had about 15 once they opened. The manager came out before they opened to make sure they knew why we were there, and let us know they had enough for everyone currently in line. Once they opened, they had us walk, in order, to a specific check out to purchase our lightsticks. I really appreciate that they handled it so professionally and held to the 1 per person. I always find myself very pleased with the service I receive and after getting my Starbucks, I always like to take a stroller around the store as typically when you're there between 10 and 11 o'clock in the morning there really isn't anyone else in the store and things are pretty freshly restocked. I always find stuff in stock that I usually can't find at the Winter Garden location.
