Whenever I have sought advice on plants it has been freely given by the very helpful staff all of whom seem genuinely interested in the plants and the well being of their customers. Notcutts in Bagshot has a great pet shop with a resident giant rabbit and many hand tame birds such as parrots and miner birds which are able to fly free in the shop. This makes for a unique experience and a sure hit with the kids. The animals all look well cared for and the staff seem to know their stuff. One let down is the aquarium centre. Here, in contrast to the pet shop, the fish do not look to be in such good condition. In fact, on my last visit, there seemed to be several fish in several tanks that were either dead or clearly unwell. It may have been that these were hospital tanks but there was no indication that this was the case and in any event it seemed to be isolated fish that were affected. The cafe is great and reasonably priced. The Christmas Exhibition (starting in late Oct!) is worth a visit in itself!

The store isnt very well laid out and the displays were very heavy making it feel slightly claustraphobic. Johnny and Billy, both well informed salesmen, looked after us with Johnny doing the final price negotiations . The goods arrived within a few days, delivered by two charming men who unpacked and assembled everything to our satisfaction. They took all the packaging away for recycling . From start to finish we have enjoyed a first rate experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oaktree and their staff.

My wife and I ordered a bed from them at the start of December and were treated to what can only be described as excellent customer service. They went out of their way to show us the different options for colour in the bed we had chosen and after a request for a discount offered us the price that it would be in the Boxing Day sale! Delivery was originally quoted as early January but after a couple of phonecalls by their staff it was with us before Christmas. Unfortunately one small part of the bed had a mark on it when delivered but it was replaced with no fuss in a couple of days. They are pricey but you get what you pay for in the quality of the product and the wonderful service.
