Orders were being prepared 1 table at a time. 45 minutes later we got a pancake served with cold butter. The pancake was just kind of yellow, not brown at all. It had a terrible taste. I cannot even describe it. And the cold butter would not melt because they weren't hot. Our eggs were ordered over medium. They were over easy and without toast the yolks could not be eaten( because the pancake was so bad). The bacon was limp and not crisp at all. The hash browns and sausage patties were fine. I am hesitant to rate the service because I don't know how much was her doing. It is hit or miss here. I have rated them 5 but today was awful.

I paired it with the broccoli salad, which was an instant favorite and added some nice crunchy texture to the savory shrimp sandwich. Beware that the beer and wine can be quite expensive here, which the employee actually warned me about. I went next door to the wine/beer bottle shop to get a bottle of wine, which was much cheaper. Also, I would be remiss not to mention the wonderful pastries here. The macaroons are to die for, and they have wonderful ice cream and massively big cookies (the peanut butter cookie was my favorite). My only warning is that dining is seat yourself and the service can be a little slow, so if you're in a rush, just order to go, and sit in the rocking chairs near the pond in back.
