Rooms are a decent size and beds are comfortable with good quality linens and comfortable pillows and blankets, even on the hide-a-beds. Pool and waterslide are awesome, but often very busy so not the best place if you are looking for a relaxing, adult swim or soak in the hot tub. Hotel is not as affordable as others in the area, but they do offer free basic breakfast at the attached restaurant (not sure if it is included with all rooms and rates though) and things like coffee and tea are free in your room. Despite being a busy, popular hotel the check-in process is usually quick and efficient and the rooms are quiet as long as you are not in a room close to the stairwell where you can sometimes hear the stairway door slam. For the most part both the common areas and rooms are clean, however on a recent stay we found a used sock under the heater in the room, as well as food or other stain on the arms of the couch and when we wet a cloth and tried to wipe it off the arm of the couch was so dirty that it turned the white facecloth a dark brown. Despite the cleanliness issues and lack of value when compared to others in the area, it is one of my favorite hotels in Brandon and I would stay here again if it was within my budget.

Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment from start to finish. ​One look at the main buffet options was enough to turn me away, so I opted for just the Soup and Salad Bar--which turned out to be a mistake: ​Soups: Bland and watery. The roasted pepper soup tasted like a cheap mix topped with canned tomatoes, and the chicken noodle was filled with overcooked noodles and stringy, unseasoned chicken. ​Salads: The potato salad lacked flavor, and the pasta salad was completely overpowered by oregano. The mixed greens and Caesar salad options were uninspired, accompanied by low-quality dressings and strange toppings (salty garlic coil slices and cold cuts on a salad bar?). ​Buffet & Carvery: The station marked as a "carvery" was inexplicably serving pizza, and the server on the line couldn't distinguish between pork tenderloin and ham. ​Desserts & Fruit: The cobbler looked unappetizing, and the fruit selection looked tired and old. ​To make matters worse, hygiene and service were severely lacking. I witnessed a manager coughing directly into a server's face without covering her mouth. To top off the experience, despite being told I would receive a discount for only taking the soup and salad option, I was billed for the full buffet on my receipt. ​Even the exterior reflects the lack of care--overgrown weeds in the flowerbeds and a parking lot that looks like it hasn't been repaired in 20 years. ​So disappointing. Food was only fair or tolerable (my fries still had some frozen, cod was over battered and burned on the bottom. The mixed drinks less then expected, old fashion was warm and the lemon aid cooler was watery. Restaurant manager was very good and made corrections where she could. This time we were here for a family Christmas supper, and were well accommodated with poolside tables and chairs and tablecloths. We had an executive suite and found it to be quite clean and lovely. Furniture was all newer, beds very clean and comfortable! The bathroom was great with a fancy pants new tiled shower with multiple shower heads, just great! Pool is great for our young kids, we like that it's not too deep, wild or over stimulating!!! We also loved being able to have a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant with our stay, it was very filling and satisfying! We will be back again for sure!

I wasn't expecting much in terms of service, amenities, etc, and came here with the only expectation of rooms and beds that are comfortable to sleep at night. The check-in process was fine, although I will admit the elevator seemed dated. It took a long time for the elevator to go up the floors, to the point where I thought we went 2 floors when in reality it was only 1. In addition, despite signs saying the main floor door to the rooms and elevator would be locked after 9pm, it was never locked the entire time I was there. As for the rooms, I was surprised by how spacious they were. My room had two TVs, one in the "living room" and the other by the actual beds. It was actually a very convenient setup in which I went with my roommate, and he's not a morning person...so I was able to wake up and get myself ready without disturbing my roommate. The beds were comfortable too. I would say for a small city like Brandon, this hotel cuts above its weight. Don't expect a luxury experience, but it's excellent value for the price you pay here.

I said hello, I'm in room 269 and the alarm is sounding- she interrupted with "yes, it's sounding in everyone's room. Don't leave your room we will inform you if you need to leave, goodbye!" What?? How about, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we are working to find out why the alarm is sounding throughout the hotel, I apologize for the alarm disturbing your stay. In the event of a serious issue we will phone you back- if the reason for the alarm is false we will shut it off and not disturb you again. I don't know, anything better than making the guest feel like a burden! The alarm was so loud I had no idea it was sounding throughout the entire hotel!

The room is on the small side, with a standing closet, instead of a built-in closet, and the tv was smallish as well. The beds were comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The breakfast was decent, serving bacon and eggs, and other items such as waffles, the usual muffin assortment, and yogurt. Priced around $100 a night, we found this to be a bit high considering the amenities (ie. no pool,no exercise room, and no computer access in the lobby).
