My sorority sister and I both won leadership scholarships to Converse back when it was known as "Converse College." Her parents were kind enough to drive us up to Converse to tour the campus. It really is a pretty campus, albeit small. We spent at least one night in a dated but clean dorm type room. We enjoyed a short walk to a pizza/beer place for some dinner. On the way, we noticed that all we were seeing were females. Hmmmmm. Come to find out, this was a female only college at the time. We both went, "What?!?!?!" Talking to some locals, we did learn a male only college was a short distance away, maybe a couple of miles. Still, this was a hard pass for both of us. Now, Converse is co-ed and has been since 2021.

Classy kids overcharged me one week tuition($309.50) for the first time because they forgot my kids only stayed 3 weeks for the last month before they went to public school. I asked for refund when the director asked for $200 registration fee even for one day drop in. then she waived the registration but still overcharged my credit card after several drop in. I am so glad that I always kept the email records so she had to admit that $200 registration fee was waived and then she added two more extra days..... What a mess! It took me 30+ emails to explain what is wrong and finally I got $239.50 credit. I did not spend this credit because of Covid-19 and my family need to relocate to another state so I ask for refund recently. NO! NO REFUND! "No Credit will be refund, that's the policy!" Come on, I have this credit because of classy kids' overcharge and now they refuse to refund. Hope OVERCHARGE is not one of Classy kids' policies! BTW, pay attention to the staff when you drop in. I always saw staffs/teachers eating their breakfast in the morning and play phones in the afternoon. No wonder some kids got bites/scratches as other reviewers said. Good luck!

It was opened in 2007, and I found it interesting in an architectural sense, as long as you're in the category of "inspired by stalinist brutalism/public buildings" design. The most striking feature of the building is the view from the fifth floor- they have the student discipline offices up there but they are placed like little offices on the roof, and you can walk around on the exposed roof/5th floor and get quite a decent view of the campus in all directions.

From KT with Debbie Patterson, who is a modern-day Saint, to the many, many other great teachers they have had and still have, and the leadership, made up of caring, concerned, Christian people who love and care about our children, it has been outstanding. And the education they are receiving is second-to-none. Both our son and daughter score in the upper 5% of the national testing each year. They have STEM and computer classes, and of course all of the standards, as well as Christian training. But most of all, the teachers there LOVE the children. They care about your children. And the other parents are a huge factor too. These are parents that are involved in their children's lives and are working with you to see that they all succeed. Shannon Forest is the best decision we have made for our children and I'd be happy to talk with anyone about it in person. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to talk about it. Finally, I saw another review here that was inaccurate and misleading. Please google search the accusations. The incident is described in a way that is factually incorrect and paints the school in a bad light. I don't know what the reviewer's motivations are, but I have to wonder why they included something that they clearly did not understand or have direct knowledge of, as the news and police reports paint a very different picture. I would be happy to discuss anything with anyone about Shannon Forest Christian school. It is not perfect, no place is, but it is an OUTSTANDING choice for parents who are looking for an affordable, caring, small class sized, Christian school for their children.
