These guys re-installed a shower door for me post shower remodel. I literally handed them a puzzle with all the pieces and wished them luck. They nailed it! Unbeknownst to me, I'd lost one screw in the span of time between remodel and reinstall, but they were very gracious and completely finished putting up the door, sans the one screw. They were prepared to come back with a matching one, but I was able to save them the trouble and found a replacement at Ace. These guys were awesome! Respectful, friendly, fast, and came in under estimate. Who does that??! Next time I need glass service, I'm absolutely calling Hillcrest. read more

We had a broken window pane, double insulated. Also had two large picture windows that had single pane glass plus old removable storm windows, all of which we wanted replaced. They measured the windows, ordered the glass, and today they installed all three. They're PERFECT!! read more

We hired them to replace a large cracked pane (about 3 x 4 feet) in a wooden window in a historic house in the Longmont Old Town, and they did an excellent job. They showed up when promised. The finished window looks great. read more

I am a GC in the north area and I had a great glass company I used for a long time. I finished a really nice basement that had an all glass front gym with glass double doors and huge mirrors. It also had a 6 piece bath with frameless doors on it. I got the pricing from my original company and I thought, why not, I should call someone local just to see their pricing. We'll they came in under this larger companies pricing. Then I thought, there must be a catch. They were only a couple weeks out. The same as the other guys. I called Hillcrest for an exterior door window replacement. The product I received was satisfactory but the customer service was not. It took a month to speak with someone after our initial contact. I was consistant about emailing and calling. Leaving messages with no return communication from Hillcrest. Finally, someone came out to measure, sent me a bid and I paid 1/2 down. Again no communication from Hillcrest. I made several calls and finally got put on their schedule. The time of the install Hillcrest did not show up. I made a call and was told my time had been changed. No one bothered to call me. This whole process has been frustrating. No one at Hillcrest seems to think my situation warrants even the slightest apology. I would not recommend this company. read more

We recently had Hillcrest Glass install a new frameless shower door. Why we waited as long as we did, I'll never know! The whole job from going into Hillcrest to speak with a sales person, scheduling a measurement, to purchasing the door, and then having it installed, we are so very happy with the entire process! Everyone was really honest and professional! The installers came to our home, and were very polite, and explained everything step by step to us. They both take great pride in their work, and we couldn't be happier with the job they did for us! If you're thinking about having a new frameless shower door installed...do it! Really appreciate the job these guys did replacing the rollers on my sliding glass door. Rachel was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. Tyson arrived during the one-hour window as expected. He didn't have a roller that would fit my door, so he took photos, then went back to the shop and found a roller that would fit. He was very good at keeping me informed about what was going on, and fitting in the return trip on the same day. Although he had to make two trips to my house and take the door off twice, he had it working smoothly in about two hours. read more

Having lived in Longmont my whole life I was excited to use a local business but I regret that decision. We had an awful experience with getting a shower door. The communication was horrible and the owner would not even respond to our calls. The messed up the measurements at least 3 times. The project took an extra month to finish. When we asked if there would be a discount off our bill due to all the mistakes they responded that in the end the project got done and so no discount and no apology. We had glass installed in a new shower. The installers were great and did a really nice job. The communication to get the glass and get it to the point of installation was terrible. An appointment for installation was set up without any communication with me and when I received two separate emails stating the date and time of my installation, nobody showed up in fact I payed someone to meet the installers. I called and the explanation was that it was a computer glitch. My glass was installed and there was a scratch so I was offered $100,I chose for them to replace the door. Again the actual installers were excellent but this store needs big help with communication! read more

Several years ago we had Hillcrest Glass install new 3/8" glass doors on the shower of our master bathroom. The job was done well and priced well. Now, we have totally remodeled the same bath and hoped to preserve those doors - both for financial and environmental reasons. It was not a simple hope. In the end Hillcrest came through and today the doors were reinstalled. They look great. Hillcrest has always been incredibly polite, responsive and easy to work with. I had several wood frame windows with glass units that had had leaked, allowing condensation inside. They were able to retrofit new glass units into the new frames, and seal with new glazing bead. I was a relief not to have to buy all new windows. read more

I just got off the phone with this company, asking for a quote on about the easiest thing you can do: a 30" round piece of glass for a table top. The guy answering the phone was rude and asked me questions that had no bearing on anything (trying to be intimidating rather than helpful). I have over 25 years experience selling glass to commerical and residential clients, so I have a pretty good idea what to ask for and what's a ballpark price. This guy quoted me a price that was over two times what it should have been, then told me there was no way for me to pick it up, because they are remodeling and don't have any way to have glass picked up. which of course, makes no sense at all, if they are doing business at all. this is not the first bad experience I have had with bad customer service here, so it was time to write a review. My advice: go somewhere else. read more

When in construction myself I used Hillcrest Glass exclusively, but I guess there has been a change in management. We recently spent a large sum of money on large mirrors to a mounting spec set by the vendor. They did not work and it cost us a deal of money. To be fair, after a fight they refunded the mirror cost. Since then the install has been taken over by a competitor whose design worked first time. Not a pleasant company to work with this time - from the first meeting. read more
