I know what the sign says. I know what the name says. I also know what I experienced. To call this a pizzeria is a stretch. In the words of the friendly gal working "we're basically a dive bar" & I feel like that's a MUCH better description. The place was decorated for Halloween & it looked like they had a few events planned. There was a decent selection of brews. As I'm rarely brave enough to order a cocktail in a dive bar, I can't say if those are any good, but they have a list... We didn't eat & I can't say that I'd feel inclined to. It was an ok stop - very local feel. read more

Great italian bar style pizza. Good cheese. ( Don't ask for extra! ) . Calzone was also great and I got two meals out of it. Local delivery free and fast. Shows up hot. read more

Awesome steak and cheese. The hand tossed pizza is excellent. You don't need to go to the North End in Boston. The hand tossed pizza is superb. Quality cheese. A fresh sauce. But lets get back to the steak and cheese. Perfect sub roll. No fat. No gristle. A nice juicy bite. Ignore trolls. This place is great read more

This is one of the worst Pizza Places in the area! I ordered 5 pizzas and 7 cokes to be delivered to a job site! The pizzas completely sucked and they sent over 7 died cokes. I was not there to accept the order! I called back and told the young man that they needed to replace the drinks! He came back later with 3 cold cokes and 4 warm cokes. I paid $99 dollars for this! NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Just ordered from hilltop pizza, I would like to say it was enjoyable but also it wasn't the onion rings were limp & soggy with oil, the pizza was greasy & the small steak bomb was also soggy plus they over charged me, probably the last time I will eat there. I gave it one star because it won't let me post u less I rated it. read more

Tried Hilltop Pizza tonight for the first time. Although not "blown away" by the pizza - a large onion and bacon - my friend and I thought it was pretty good. We didn't know about the Tuesday night special pricing, which is a very good deal! The pizza, as I said, was quite good but was very light on the sauce and definitely could have used more cheese. The staff was polite and friendly but somewhat on the slow side... a 35 minute wait from placing our order to receiving it. So... overall, not bad at all. But not the best I've ever had. Will probably return... especially for the Tuesday price special! read more

The crowd here is of all ages , young and old all talking together . Music entertainment on saturdays is soo fun . The calzones are soo big . I ordered the buffalo calzone with pineapple added and it's AMAZING ... BEST calzone I've ever had . This is hand dough not frozen . Quality and quantity are there and more than worth the price . I love portions the give here , you get your monies worth . read more

Hill Top Pizzeria (formerly Dante's Oven Pizzeria) is now open and under new ownership, located in a small strip plaza (Michele's Popcorn) behind the Epsom Fire Station. The place was redone including new floors, seating, flatscreen TV and arcade game/pinball machines in the corner. They offer traditional & specialty hand tossed & pan pizzas, calzones, subs, salads, pasta dinners, gyros, burgers. and appetizers. Weekday lunch specials (11AM-2PM) are offered. Coke products from the cooler are now offered here (it was Pepsi before when it was Dante's). Beer & wine soon! See the menu & pricing at http://www.hilltoppizzeria.com/index-2.html I stopped in here recently for takeout. I ordered a Large 16" Hill Top House Special Pan Pizza ($15.25 plus tax) and used a $2 off Large Specialty Pizza coupon on the printed menu. The pizza was ready in about 18 minutes after ordering. I enjoyed a couple of slices of my pizza fresh out of the oven before leaving. The pan pizza crust was slightly greasy, which was soft inside and light crisp along the edges and not too thick. The pizza was topped with plenty of thick tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, hamburg, baked ham cubes, fresh mushroom slices, green peppers and onions. The pizza here was enjoyable and really great tasting! My lucky coworker lives only spitting distance from Hill Top Pizzeria and he can walk through the woods to pick up dinner. I'd definitely return here again for lunch (along my work route) and dinner. (4.5/5.0) read more

I can't speak for the pizza, but you can't beat the nachos with hamburger anywhere nearby. They are put on a pizza pan (which is a genius idea) and they're loaded with veggies and cheese. The fried mushrooms are awesome too. The drinks are made well and you can play keno. What more do you need? We love it so much we have to go weekly. read more

Not bad for a local pizza joint, I recommend, took a little longer for the pizza but it was worth the wait!

The food here is terrible, the owner sucks!! The store was dirty and gross and the atmosphere sucked!!

Great local spot. Antipasto and subs are great. Excellent chicken! Hand tossed pizza is excellent. If you get their House Special filled with meats and veggies it is so big it feels like 5 lbs in your hands! My only suggestion is to call early as they usually take 30 minutes or more since they have a takeout style on one side and a relaxed sports bar on the other side where they often have live music on weekends. read more

I dont usually take the time to right a review about a negative experience but interactions with this establishment have been costly and very frustrating. We recently moved to the area and have ordered food multiple times and it is ALWAYS wrong! It happened so many times that when picking up orders, we had to check every item to make sure we were getting what we ordered. We spoke to the owner multiple times and the last he just shrugged us off like it didnt matter. So we will NEVER order here again which is too bad as I believe in supporting local business. So we will opt to go to Epsom House of Pizza from now on. read more

Not even one star. I bought a small calzone asked for sauce on the side and didn't get it. Then On top of that I buy a small french fry they throw in a bag so all the grease turns the French fries to mush. Now this is the first time I've been back in over three years for the same reason I figured the new owners would take responsibility but they did not. Totally disappointed and will never recommend this place ever again I hope the owner response back and makes things right. read more

I've been coming here since before it became Hill Top Pizzeria, & I do have to say that today was my first time that I walked out so pissed that I almost got into an accident due to being pissed. Today is Tuesday & one of their specials being a small cheese pizza for $5.00. Well, I got there & that was not the price that rang up. I said, hang on, this is the 5.00 special (Remind you, I've been getting this for years), so I said something to the new employee. He said "Oh, when you ordered you did not tell me you wanted the "Pan" pizza, this is a "hand toss". Well, for starters the special did not say you had to have a pan pizza. Unless I am loosing it, if you order the special, then you should get the special. I believe this is a way to get people to pay more for something. Well, the joke was on him. I walked out and did not pay for the pizza cuz I left it there on the counter. So now not only did they loose my 5.00 that I was willing to pay but now they have a small hand toss cheese pizza that went into the dump. (Hopefully not sold to someone else) Hopefully next time when this employee answers the phone he should ask if they wanted a pan pizza or hand toss. Not sure if I'm going to go back or not. read more

If you're looking for pizza this is not the place to go I ordered pizza there was hardly any sauce on it after it was cooked it all dried out so I called them the guy that answered the phone said ( very sarcastically) he's pretty sure he put sauce on it but he would make me another one to go ahead and keep that one then I got a call back saying bring the old Pizza in that's fine with me I get there he hands me another Pizza that was made the same way Just as dry with the sauce and totally uncooked on the bottom is there anyone there that checks the quality of the food that they're selling this is the last time I order pizza from that place I have been there many times on Wednesday for wings and other things an those have been just fine but this is supposed to be a pizza place what they specialize in for half the price I can get a better pizza cooked faster at 7-Eleven in that's no lie it's too bad because the place is literally around the corner from my house and I would be here a couple times a week but if you're going to own a restaurant and not care about the quality of your product then you don't deserve my business read more

I just wanted to make it clear to anyone who doesn't know this pizza place is under new management. It is not amazing. I have ordered multiple times and have yet to have even the smallest complaint. They are doing a very good job. They even deliver to harvest Rd in Chichester which most won't. I really suggest if you've tried in the past to try again. You won't regret it. K.doyon read more

Hilltop has utterly fantastic food for the type of business it is, and its location. And while the owners are great and some of the female staff, there are a few issues they could afford to work on. The first being that I've ordered delivery from them many many times, and about 1 out of 2 deliveries, normally has the wrong or a missing item altogether. They will send their delivery driver back to get it, but by the time you get it back, which can take a while, it's pretty much pointless. The other is that it seems that no matter what time of day I call to place an order (now for pick up after learning my lesson from poor delivery service) they always seem to put you on rather long holds. I'm sure they're busy, but they certainly need to figure out a more efficient phone system. And sometimes there are issues with the food being a little soggy from the items they use for packaging food after its cooked, while not an issue with their food, it's a matter they do have some control over as they could benefit from better products that reduce the condensation that builds up with the meals that are in styrofoam boxes. Other than those two things, the place is fantastic. I always see people picking up their orders too when I go in, so I know they're busy and the staff are friendly, clean and normally attentive. It's nice being able to see the open kitchen as well from the counter, as it hides to big "mysteries" towards the conditions of the kitchen. There is a bar next door to it, but frankly I'm not a fan of bars so I've never gone it. Seems to be mainly geared towards blue collar working class folk who want a slighter cleaner "small town bar" to head to. They normally have karaoke or music playing as well, and it never seems to be too packed at all from first glance. Recommend items: -Chicken Tenders -Spicy Fries -Steak bomb -Pizza (pan or hand tossed) read more

We have ordered from here a few times as it's the only place that will deliver to us. The first time we ordered pepperoni, there was maybe 2-3 pieces per slice on a large pizza. Since, we have ordered extra pepperoni and now we are lucky to receive 4 per slice, usually less. Unfortunately, the pizza is incredibly greasy. I take a napkin and dab off the excess grease and it's off putting. The crust is usually crispy however. When I reheat the pizza, I pop it in the oven and that helps with the crispness and the oiliness. This is definitely not my favorite pizza place but as I said above, it's the only place that will deliver. read more

A mixed bag Pros: I thought the food was decent. Nothing special. It was cooked fine. The portions were ok and the price was average Cons: Phone was busy several times, the parking sucks, there is a lounge connected to it which is loud and a bit smokey, I ordered two subs a meatball with nothing on it and a chicken parm with nothing on it. They gave me two meatball subs even though I heard them talking about the chicken parm they just f'ed it up. Overall: this rating could go up or down. I might try it again but I won't go out of my way to do so. This is a 2.5 stars place the overall average is correct. read more

Excellent all around! Hill Top Pizzeria makes some of the best pizza we've ever had. Not overly greasy, yummy crust that is obviously fresh, and they don't skimp on toppings. They have a menu full of other options as well, if pizza isn't your thing. Subs, pasta, and even a kids menu! Yes, a kids menu. The restaurant itself was clean and bright, with arcade games and a flat screen tv. Staff was friendly and warm. I can't recommend this place enough! Go check it out for yourself. read more

Visited on Sunday September 30th. Walked in around 3pm and we were the only ones there. My fiance and I have been there before, and previous visits were decent. Went to sit down and noticed how dirty the floor and several booth were (food crumbs, dirt, old napkins). Ordered two beers after a short wait (again, only two people in the place), the beer was cold but was poured in warm glasses, which soon made it warm as well. I ordered a small Mexican pizza and my fiance ordered a steak and cheese sub. When the food finally came, it was low quality. The pizza had minimal flavor and there was almost no sauce (typically re-fried beans or salsa). Her steak and cheese was marginal. The meat tasted like boxed Steam-Ems from the store, and definitely was not fresh shaved steak. When we finally received our check, it was definitely priced for premium food, not what we received. In short, sadly, we will not be returning anytime soon. Service and food quality has gone downhill hard. I hope it turns around. read more

My husband and I ordered from here at least 2x a month sometimes more when we first moved to Epsom. Pizza was pretty good and never had any issues until about a year ago. Our orders were never completely correct and the last straw was when we received a pizza (wrong toppings) that was undercooked and soggy. We have switched pizza places at this point. read more

Best Pizza! We have been getting our pizza from here for the last year. We have found it to be very consistant and delicious. We recently ordered 5 pizza for a party. They were all ready on time and everyone loved every one of them. read more

Only the "hand tossed" pizza is halfway decent and even then it's very hit or miss. Especially for how expensive it is. Most of the time the pizza tastes like there's no sauce and it's just tasteless cheese on soggy bread. The fries are awful as well and not even worth getting. Overall I'm super disappointed and will definitely be ordering from somewhere else next time. read more

The local pizza place my family and I usually go to, Jacks Pizza in Pittsfield, was closed due to heat, so we decided to try out the other pizzeria, Hilltop. The employees were quick to take our order and gave us an estimate of 25 minutes. I arrived twenty five minutes later to be told it'd be a couple of minutes before it was ready, which was fine by me... until I looked at the clock and realized I had been waiting in the restaurant for an extra twenty minutes before they brought out the order. Upon getting home, we saw that our pizza, a bacon pizza with extra cheese, barely had any bacon on it, and was covered in a pool of grease, which had seeped into the bottom of the box. There was also VERY little to no sauce on the pizza, which when you're spending twenty dollars on a single piece of food, a restaurant should not be stingy on. All in all, worst pizza we've had, as we could've gotten a Digiorno's, for a little less than half the price, might I add. and have been more satisfied. read more

We recently started going here and absolutely love the food! They have THE BEST buffalo chicken tenders! And the pizza is really yummy! The crust is excellent and they don't go light on the toppings. My only complaint would be the price. We purchased a large "the works" pizza (I believe 20"), a small (10") bacon pizza and a large buffalo chicken tenders which was 9 tenders and 2 containers of blue cheese and it was $50! So if you don't mind paying slightly more than average, I highly recommend this place! read more

Such a rip off! More money for small portions. Mushroom/onion/pepper pizza was mostly peppers, hardly any of the other two veggies. Hand tossed pizza is a ridiculous amount of money. Rude owners. If they didn't open a bar, they would be out of business by now. I'm Italian and from Boston. This is NOT good pizza! Go the extra mile and order from Pizza by George. The owner IS Italian and from Boston's North End. read more

Very good pizza and quick. Pizza alone was 5 stars however the fries were unsalted and just okay.

Ordered some pizzas from here while working in the area. The girl behind the counter clearly hates her life and did not attempt to hid that fact while taking our simple order with as much attitude as possible. Then, after an excessive wait we got two sloppily thrown together pizzas. They had horrible proportions and lacked red sauce, which was never mentioned, but I sort of figured that was a given on a pizza. I'm not normally one to complain about my food, but if Hill Top pizza wants to go out of it's way to give me shitty service and food, then I'm going to go out of my way to write a shitty review about it. read more

I would avoid this restaurant at all cost. Last night I ordered an Italian sub and after a few bites determined that it had severely spoiled salami in it. When I contacted the restaurant concerning this their only response was thank you for letting us know. Clearly they are serving bad food which will make you very sick. Have reported it to the health department, hopefully they will intervene read more

i have multiple problems with this restaurant 1 in the middle of a pandemic none of the costumers wear masks while entering and honestly that's not a huge deal but the waiter can't even wear an actual mask, he wears a sheer one and you can see his whole face through it, so it's doing absolutely nothing while he's making drinks and breathing over people's food 2 the music is so loud i can hardly hear myself think let alone try to talk to the people i'm out with i do not write reviews about places but this place is just gross. read more

I have decided to write an update since my last review. One of the owners reached out to me and was very understanding and wanted to get my opinion on things. I was very happy that I was contacted and I told him that I would try them again. That time was today. I called and a very nice man answered the phone. He was a pleasure to speak with and loved my name because it is his daughter's name too. The food was delivered on time and very fresh. I am actually enjoying the food right now. Thank you for making the experience incredible. I look forward to more orders. read more
