    COPY OF THE INVOICE

              FACTS!

I spoke with an assistant sales mgr (0837, 10/12/2024), over the phone about a used 2021 Dodge Ram they had on the lot, They sent me an itemized invoice with an"out-the-door price" that I thought was acceptable. I only asked them to remove the surface care package from the invoice because I didn't need it nor did I ask for it. His reply was he could not remove the cost of the surface care package because it automatically comes with every car purchase. Regardless if you want it or not. Which leaves you no opportunity to decline it. After he said that, to be clear, I asked him again and he said yes I had to pay for it if I wanted to close the deal. I told him thank you and I decided to take my business elsewhere. FYI the truck was 47K and I was a definite sale. The point is they chose greed over customer satisfaction and let me walk away for a few dollars. I'm a 20-year US Army Veteran and I support American businesses, but sometimes American companies don't always support us. I'm not saying this is a bad business but I didn't have a good experience with them.

Map sensor replacement $300 for labor and $150 for part they charged me 2 hours of labor at $150 per hr I looked at a YouTube video just to see what kind of sensor it was and how difficult it is to change and the sensor is literally right on top and only take one screw to replace, the longest video on YouTube on how to replace the map sensor is 15 minutes long and it took a professional at this Ford 2 hrs

Adhesive that I ended up having to grind off the newly painted bumper.

I will not be using Hilbish Ford again. Not happy with the customer service of the Service Department. Not very friendly or helpful.

I went to BMW to get a diagnostic on a coolant system leak that my 2019 BMW 440i xDrive coupe had…read more BMW gave me a report of the parts needed for the repair and the key areas where they observed a leak. They stated that the leak was coming from the oil filter housing, heat management module, water pump, and connecting block and pipes. To get an improvement in the repair costs, I ordered my parts from FCP Euro and decided to let my trusted mechanic make the repairs. I didn't order the water pump at that time because it wasn't a priority leak. My mechanic let me know that some of the hoses were tight and he didn't want to risk creating a crack in the system due to the amount of torque needed to remove the hoses nor did he have a robust spare parts inventory. I took my car to Carolina Auto Sports to make the repairs based on their positive reviews. They conducted their own inspection and found that I did not need some of the BMW recommended parts I provided, therefore I returned some of the parts to FCP euro. They identified two additional parts that I needed that I did not have, so I authorized them to purchase those parts. After they completed my repair, I picked up my car and drove 5 mins up the road and got a message on my dashboard informing me that my engine was at risk of overheating due to a coolant leak. One of the clamps from the hoses they replaced was loose. They tightened the clamp and sent me on my way. Every morning after that repair, I would find coolant on the pavement beneath my car. They did multiple pressure tests while the car was hot and cold across multiple visits and used that method to declare that there was no leak in the coolant system, though I was observing visible leaks. I asked Dennis if this job was something that I needed to give to BMW because it was outside of their capability/experience, and he told me "No". Out of desperation and multiple chat GPT searches, I decided to have my trusted mechanic replace the water pump. I brought him up to speed on what I had been experiencing with Carolina Auto Sports. He informed me that the coolant leak test wouldn't reveal the leak at the water pump due to the pressure release/weep hole mechanism. This leak would only be revealed when the car is at rest and releases pressure. I informed the service advisor, Dennis, of this, and told me that that is correct, but they get so few B58 engines in that they may have forgotten about that. I still had leaks after my trusted mechanic replaced my water pump. Before taking my car back to Carolina Auto Sports I had two mechanic friends, of which is my aforementioned trusted mechanic, to inspect the source of the leak, and both discovered that it was coming from the oil filter housing area "as clear as day". My car is now with my trusted mechanic to complete the repair for the full coolant system. I do not recommend Carolina Auto Sport for repairs as they put their pride before the best interest of the customer as well as their repair recommendation before those of seasoned BMW certified mechanics that see these cars regularly. Had they replaced all of the parts that I initially provided, I would be past this issue.

These qualities are the facets that reinforce my trust and brand loyalty. For the past decade, despite living 45 minutes away, I've preferred driving or towing my car there instead of using a nearby mechanic. Even on the most hectic of days, the front-desk staff always welcome you with a cheerful smile. The BOSS, Howard, is very kind and will recommend only the necessary actions that you must take to fix or maintain your car. FROM THEIR OWN WORDS: Fair Repair Auto Care is dedicated to helping our community keep their vehicles running smoothly while saving money. We understand how essential your car is for daily routines, whether it's taking children to school or commuting to work. My engine locked up on me due to lack of oil and the company blamed me; stating that I "burned out the oil". No, my father was a mechanic and he warned me about oil burning out of a car blue or black smoke coming out of the exhaust and you can smell it in the AC ventilation system. This is my assessment of the establishment: Customer Service: Excellent - They are honest and always make sure you understand what they believe is the best solution to get your car in optimal shape. They even will take you back in their garage and point out your issues so you can see them. They provide you with service sheets that give you every material and service in a line item form, as well as your current tire pressure, and any recommendations for future service. Products/Labor: Good - Without having much knowledge about car parts, it seems everything they've replaced for me was good product, and every time they do any work, they do a complete system check to make sure there are no surprises. Very thorough, and since I've went to them, no surprises! Facility: Excellent - Their front counter/sales area is immaculate. The actual waiting area is in a glass enclosed area furnished with chairs, bathrooms, water fountains, a T.V., Free Wi-Fi, Coffee/Soda machines, and an enclosed play place for kids within the waiting area. Although it is not the reason I go to Griffin Brothers, it is a far cry from most auto shop facilities, and it really makes that painstaking wait a whole lot easier. Price: Fair - There is no denying that their prices are high. I personally believe that based on the work they do, and what they provide, it's worth the investment to my car. But not all cars would be worth that same investment(Trust me, I've had some junkers that would be far from worth it). Overall, I choose this place over many others because they give me the confidence and peace of mind that my car is taken care of when I leave their shop. I'm willing to pay for that peace of mind, but not all people are, and there's nothing wrong with that.

On July 8, I visited your Concord Parkway location for a wheel alignment. After driving my vehicle,…read moreI noticed there was no improvement in how it handled, leading me to believe the alignment had not been completed properly. When I called the location to report the issue, I was told the technician was on a one-hour lunch break. I then visited two of your other locations for assistance. One informed me they did not have an alignment technician available, while the other claimed they could not perform the alignment because my vehicle's frame was bent. This was inaccurate, as my vehicle does not have a bent frame. I made several additional attempts to contact the original Concord Parkway location to speak with a manager, but each time I was told the manager was either busy or not on site. Despite multiple calls, I was unable to discuss my concerns with anyone in management. Ultimately, I took my vehicle to another repair shop, where the alignment was completed successfully. They also provided a computerized alignment report showing the adjustments that were made. Given that I had to pay another company to perform the service correctly and have been unable to reach management despite repeated attempts, I am requesting a full refund for the alignment performed at your Concord Parkway location.
