REVIEW UPDATE: I had to stop going to TFBBC because I moved cities. Since leaving a couple years ago, I've tried every workout under the sun. Popular HIIT classes such as OrangeTheory, Pilates reformer, Pure Barre for almost a year, Basecamp fitness, etc. And although I've stayed consistent in my workouts (4x a week), nothing has ever gotten me in great shape like when I was working out at TFBBC. I am not one to write regular reviews, but I wanted to give a shout out to TFBBC. I struggled to stay on a consistent work out for the past decade and a half - doing yoga, regular gym machines, walking, etc - on and off, and out-of-shape. I dreaded exercise and made every excuse in the book to not do it. Last August, I came across the intro fitness challenge and decided to give it a try. The 8-week challenge didn't seem like much of a commitment (I could always stop) and was reasonably priced. It consisted of doing the 30-minute workout (3 - 4 times/week) and tracking your food, since diet is the key to fitness. The workouts are tough, but only 30-minutes and I discovered that whenever that voice in my head told I couldn't do it anymore, I would look at the clock and think 'Ok, there is 10 mins left, I can get through it' and now I'm hooked. The coaches are fantastic, very encouraging but also tough, which is great. I now attend 5 - 6 times per week, gained muscle mass, and feel more energetic! read more

I was searching for a bootcamp to lose my covid 15 weight and found this little gem in Old Town Torrance. The owners, Priscilla and Coach Nate were very nice and welcoming-a true power couple! I've been here for about two months and enjoy all of the workouts. Some more than others of course. All of the coaches are there to push you to your max..they'll even count your reps so you feel like there's fire under your butt lol. Awesome place to go to! The coaches there are friendly and they make the workouts fun and interesting. There's nothing but positive energy there. They also teach you about nutrition, which is really helpful. If you have kids, they are welcome there. I started attending early February well aware that it would be an up hill battle, I was out of shape and decided it was no longer about a number on a scale, it was about a feeling of: "I did something for myself today." I have learned that half the battle is showing up (on time of course or even early to get a good stretch...which you always need) and honestly joining this boot camp reminded me why I enjoyed working out. As a former college athlete I remember how it felt to accomplish something so challenging together... I started coming to TFBBC in July because I was looking for a group class to help motivate me more to show up (I'm someone who usually works out at home alone, but was finding trouble keeping myself motivated to work out). The classes are 30 minutes which is super convenient for my busy schedule, and the attendees are of all different fitness levels/ages which I found very welcoming and less intimidating than some other classes I've attended where everyone's in super great shape lol. I find the coaches to be friendly and very helpful in modifying workouts to better suit my needs, as I have carpal tunnel & some back issues which makes it harder to do some exercises but thankfully they have helped me adapt the movements so I can still get a good workout without injuring myself. The facility is very clean and professional, but they don't wear masks while working out if that's something that makes you uncomfortable. (As a fully vaccinated person who usually wears a mask in public, I still find I still feel safe without one here as I'm never that close to anyone else and they keep the equipment clean). I would highly recommend FBBC if you're looking to strengthen your body and feel better physically. Im no longer winded going upstairs and my legs and arms feel stronger than ever. Can't say enough about TFBBC! I joined a couple months ago and Coach Jules, Coach Eli, and Priscilla have been so amazing during that time. I looked forward to my daily 30 minute workouts and always felt like the coaching team were encouraging and challenging me without pushing me to go beyond my comfort zone. During the 2.5 months I was enrolled, I missed less than 5 days -- which is saying something, because I usually look for every excuse to skip workouts. The team truly made me feel like part of the family. I also loved the diet guidance they offered during the initial challenge period! I attended an outdoor event where family and friends were welcomed. I had to tap out early on, I started to have a pounding headache and light sensitivity. I stretched on the sidelines while I waited for family that was participating. After the group photo, someone made a comment about watching mommy exercise. First, I'm not a child.
