Hands down the BEST place to get your eyes checked! I've pretty much been to most of the eye…read moredoctors in town and haven't been too satisfied with my experiences until now! Everyone was genuinely friendly, helpful and professional! The optometrist here was incredible! I found out my previous prescription was too strong, which is why I had been getting headaches. I also overheard the doctor and his assistant talking about my options for contacts and they truly were figuring out what my best options were and when presented to me, I discovered a new (new to me) type of contact lens that no other doctor had ever mentioned, would be my best option. Nothing was ever pushed on me; I felt that they truly gave me every option for my personal preferences. I've never had a more kind and knowledgeable optometrist! In the end when I was picking frames, everyone was so helpful and friendly and helped with what type of frame would fit my face shape best and what options on the lenses would be best for me. Everyone here has had many, many, many, years of experience and I've never had this amazing of an experience at an eye doctor's office before! I highly recommend this place!

A special thank you to the lovely Kim who helped me order my contacts. She was incredibly prompt and made the whole process so smooth. I really appreciated how attentive and helpful the entire team was. Highly recommend! Especially for those out-of-towners (like me) needing last minute contact orders!

I'm a loyal customer that strongly dislikes change. After a terrible experience across town with Dr…read moreBurtner at JC Penny Optical (you can read about it in their yelp reviews) I ended a three year relationship with that office. This had me "shopping around" and I ultimately ended up here at Target Optical this year. I was pretty apprehensive as I strongly dislike change, but soon after I began speaking with Dr Savery I found my new optician for the foreseeable future. Not many opticians to choose from here in Flagstaff, but this is a great one. Dr Savery and the staff at Target Optical was both personable and informative. I will be back next year, and the rest of my family will also be making the jump to Dr Savery and Target Optical. --UPDATE-- While everything above remains true, I later found out that this optometrist is outside of my network. Caveat Emptor, but I relied on the staff here to let me know that when I called to ask if they accepted my insurance. I ended up spending over $200 more on my contacts and exam than I would have with an in network provider. I would still highly recommend this office, but verify not only that they take your insurance, but that it's also in network.

I used to get really dry eyes and painful allergies affecting my eyes. I could always stop in and get prescription eye drops from the dr. They have a large variety of frames there and I always find glasses I like. I also bought some cool clear nose pads to keep my glasses off my cheeks and makeup. The little stick on pads raise the nose bridge a bit on my glasses. The optical dept is a little gem at Target

As a long time patient at this office, I have to say, the previous awful comments; there WAS a lot…read moreof truth in them. This office used to be an absolute nightmare, the most unprofessional doctor's office I have ever been in. I have to say, I think a lot of that was attributed to the previous office manager. From my experience she was money hungry, a liar, and would do anything to get a sale. Connie would try to scam people out of their money. She was unaware I had optic experience and I listened to her weave an elaborate tale to me about how my very minimal prescription needed all of these addons (for her commission). You could tell the employees hated their jobs, and that she made their working environment far from enjoyable. Why would I continue to go to some place with such a miserable experience? The doctor. Doctor O is absolutely fantastic. He is polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He takes the time to talk to me about how my prescription has changed from year to year and what that is going to mean for me. He is quick and courtesy and always answers my questions. I can not say enough good things about him. He is the reason I continued to go back every year. I went in more recently for my yearly eye exam, and Dr O was wonderful as always, but there also seemed to be a change in the staff. I was then told Connie was no longer the office manager and some changes had been made. ABOUT FREAKING TIME! It was a much more pleasant experience. If you are considering going to Nationwide, I would say give it a shot, don't let the previous reviews scare you, there have been some changes for the better it seems. The doctor is wonderful. And the staff changes seem to be a good thing. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because that office needs a serious remodel, it looks like the early 90's in there. Come on, you're a large corporation, spring for the new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. AND because it is my understanding that Connie is still working there. How many good employees have you lost because of her? How many customers have you lost because of her? Keeping one woman around, could be losing you an awful lot of money. I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way since multiple reviews mention her by name. I would say give them a try, avoid Connie if you can, otherwise it is buyer beware.

From day one of setting my online appointment it's been very negative…read more Complete hassle about the history forms , insurance, and everything else. The people I dealt with there are super condescending and completely unprofessional. It's as if they are Anti Military. No surprise here in Flagstaff. They lied to me about Tri Care insurance, and the refused to give me the number they called to send my family was covered . They actually said "your plan" doesn't cover routine eye exams. They had no case number (tri care always gives case numbers) from their supposed phone call. Anyways, this is the worst of the worst. I can CLEARLY SEE WHY THEIR REVIEW RATINGS are so LOW .

After a horrible experience at the place over by the old WalMart, I decided to bring my old frames…read morein and get the new prescription put in the old (beloved/awesome) frames; I've done this before and had no bad experiences, but last year in Covid-paranoia land they wouldn't do it. But his year they would. yay! Wearing a mask, so my glasses are all foggy, I went in, had a very nice experience with the young lady who helped me pick out all the things I needed - like, these frames require the polycarbonate lenses, scratch-insurance, etc. My glasses will be ready BY the 30th. Great. So I get an email, a text, a call, an SMS message -- all telling me my new glasses are in. EARLY Hot Diggity Dog!. I go to the mall, all the stores on that side are closed; quite the creepy walk. They open the glasses-case. Not My Quite Expensive Frames! Not only Not My Glasses, they're some dude's horrible 70s-era-looking huge clunky things. Bill Haverchuck wore these in Freaks&Geeks, I think! Now I'm upset. They tell me they'll look with the lab, (no on-site lab anymore, sux) the other stores all over the state. They WILL find my glasses. Nope. 3 days later, the store manager calls me, says come in pick out new frames, they'll express my glasses. Guaranteed still by the 30th. I got a call Saturday Morning (the 30th), they "found" my old glasses, come get them. I get there... not my old frames, new Rx in the Technolite frames I'd picked out on Wednesday. It's nice that I now have glasses I can wear without getting a headache, but I don't really appreciate being lied to. So, overall. I got glasses I can wear, but they LOST my frames then lied to me about finding them.
