Dr Yip. although my first appointment was to be just a new patient visit, Dr Yup was willing to go ahead and get me all taken care of the same day. He created the best treatment plan for me to give me an amazing smile for life. instead of spending more money on a crown and implants he was able to give me back a beautiful smile with a bridge instead. it was more affordable and absolutely gorgeous. The amazing staff reviewed the treatment plan cost with me before the work was started and set me up on an affordable payment plan. During my second visit to have the bridge placed Angie went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable by addressing any pain and discomfort and offering me a drink and a blanket. Angie was positive and had a fun energy and a great laugh. with such professional staff I felt very well cared for and beyond satisfied with my incredibly beautiful smile that gave me in a week with two short visits. I was sitting in an exam room waiting for the dentist and overheard a conversation amongst staff/drs talking poorly about a patient in a very innapropriate and rude manner. It made me pretty uncomfortable but I have really bad dental anxiety and getting there in the first place was a big step so I wanted to follow through. That day I needed a root canal and two crowns so it was a very long appointment. I felt left in the dark throughout the way and Wendy was not super friendly. Not rude but not comforting either. After that I had to make two appointments for cleanings and a cavity. They messed up my appointments and the hygienist almost numbed me on the wrong side, I explained that I had a cavity needing filled and it needed to be the correct side for the numbing. She switched sides and finished. She was also not very attentive or kind, super rough and not gentle while working in my mouth. Today I went back for my third and final appointment. At reception, I reminded them about the cavity and they said it was on the other side, and I said so should that have been done last week? They completely missed it. I was upset and flustered; I have a lot of anxiety around this, and was informed I could get it all done today but that my entire mouth would have to be numbed. It was so traumatizing last week when she gave me the shots that I was shaking after. I decided to suck it up and just get it done and be done with it. The same hygienist from the week prior, Anastasia, came to take me back and asked how I was doing, I was honest and told her not good, and told her why, she decided instead of just apologizing and understanding, that she'd rather argue with me about what happened. I've been so uncomfortable every single time I've been in this office and I finally decided that was enough. I'll find somewhere else. To be honest I'd rather drive an hour to my old dentist in my old town than ever go to this office again. All of this to also say that the way they price things and charge you for things feels pretty scammy, or maybe they're just way overpriced. Another reason I should have trusted my gut on the first day. STAY AWAY, Find someone who will be nice to you while they drill holes in your teeth. Find someone who won't talk shit about you in front of other patients. Find someone who will numb you in the correct location. Please.

In response to some of the previous reviews regarding payment of dental services, I would like to say that several times when I was given an estimnated cost of service, the actual fees were less than originally stated. I was not asked to pay the original amount and then wait for a refund. I was asked to pay the adjusted amount (which was a nice surpirse to pay less than anticipated.) As a senior citizen, I would recommend Dr. Moore and Dr. Tayhlor Sutherland to anyone who needs a little extra patience when having dental work performed.

I first purchased a groupon to North Oak Family Dental Care for zoom whitening. I hadn't had a checkup in a few years so they asked me to have a checkup done before whitening from there or elsewhere. Having moved from California, I did not have an established dentist in KC, so I went to them for my check up and the zoom whitening and I have really had a great experience there. All the ladies in the office are very personable and friendly. Their only drawback is that their office hours are pretty limited. Mon, Wed & Thurs 8-5 and closed on Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun. They have another office, Westwood Dental, which is open Mon-Thurs 7-5, and Fri 9-1. With that being said, I ended up getting a veneer done by them and while I was waiting the two weeks for my permanent to be made, it popped off twice (very common with the type I was having done). Both times, someone came in outside of business hours to rebond it for me at no extra cost and made feel like it was no big deal they came in on their day off I will definitely be going back to them and I now feel great about my smile!." ...I forgot to mention that I went to a lab in KCK to get the color of my teeth matched to create the permanent veneer. I was told this was the best lab in town. At first I was not sure. You go down to a sketchy looking basement to meet with a technician. From the very first phone call, I was clear: I have real time constraints, and I did not want to split X-rays and cleaning into separate visits. I asked to do everything in one appointment. I was told that would push my start date out, and I accepted the wait to avoid multiple trips. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't do the cleaning that day and I'd have to come back -- the exact thing I'd asked to avoid. What made it worse was that I was surrounded by other patients who appeared to be getting their cleanings, so the claim that it couldn't be done didn't add up. The dentist found a few cavities, so on my way out I again asked to combine the cleaning and fillings into one visit. They agreed. Yet at that appointment, I got the cleaning, was sent back to the waiting room for fillings, waited about 20 minutes, and was then told the dentist was too backed up and I'd need to return -- either later that day or another day entirely. That's now a third trip for something I explicitly tried to schedule in one, and it doesn't even account for the deep cleaning or Invisalign still ahead. The X-ray process itself was also rough. The assistant handled the apparatus so aggressively that at points I thought my gums were bleeding from it scraping against them. On top of that, a second assistant had to come in and redo the X-rays because they weren't done correctly the first time. Between the constant rescheduling and the care I received, I won't be returning. Whether it's a scheduling problem or something else, the office here does not respect its patients' time.

My son with special needs is treated so well and they are so patient with him. It is clean, I am in & out, and scheduling is a piece of cake. Paperwork is completed online which is such a huge plus. They sell whitening kits for around $90 and they do not push any products on you unless you ask specifically. I also have a night guard which has been a lifesaver. Filling appointments are quick and painless. Everyone I have encountered here for my treatments have been professional and wonderful.

I guess the lesson here is don't be stressed when you go to the dentist, or you'll find yourself dropped from the practice.

Had to drive down to the office for her file to show them she noted this allergy, then they wouldn't even have the dentist come out to talk about what happened after I waited 1 1/2 hours. After all that, they tried to only give me half her file. Would not recommend in the least. Worst dental experience ever.
