Ever had a dentist do all of his/her own work - cleaning to crowning? I have been fortunate enough to call Steve Rueb my dentist for many, many years. I can easily answer the aforementioned questions by saying 1) I never feel rushed and 2) Dr. Rueb does all of his own work, start to finish. How many dentists can boast of that... very few, if any. Dr. Ruebe's sidekick, Machelle, is the kind of personality that no matter how bad a day you may be having can put a grin on your face. I can't judge service based on previous experience with other dentists because I have never had need to look elsewhere. Maybe that speaks for itself.

The difference between the experience in his office and the others I've been to in my decade-and-change of choosing my own dentists couldn't be more different. After you make your way to the end of a non-descript hallway on the 13th floor of the Traders on Grand building, you're greeted personally by a very friendly desk clerk in a small, modest waiting room. The waiting room is irrelevant, though, since they respect you enough to whisk you back to the chair and get started at your scheduled time. The doc comes right in, greets you warmly, and gets to work. The best part? He cleans and checks my teeth and sends me on my way. He doesn't insult my overcrowded mouth by trying to sell me Invisalign, insist I try some nuclear whitening service, or try to sell some fancy polish. Unlike all of the tooth malls I'd been to in the last few years, this is a DENTIST'S OFFICE. When I first walked into this office after dumping another dentist in the area, I was in the middle of scheduling fillings for 7 supposed cavities. It turned out I didn't have any, and haven't since I've been patronizing Dr. Rueb. He won't try to sell you something you don't need, and he takes care of you as an old-fashioned, honest practitioner with a humble smile and a mild-mannered, friendly disposition. It's as pleasant as going to the dentist can be.

He educated me on future complications/what to avoid/what to watch for. His assistant was wonderful. I have had no problems since (knock on wood). My third appt was to get some cavities filled by Dr Jessup, I had no issues with pain before the fillings but now am in a lot of pain and it's been 4 months since then. So I was not happy with that. I went in today for a cleaning from Dr Hutchinson, she was super kind and helpful on a plan to get my tooth to no longer hurt, she said that the filling I was given needed to be fixed and that should solve the pain. Overall I would definitely reccomend the office as the desk gals and hygienists are wonderful and so is Dr Hutchinson but I wouldn't reccomend seeing Dr Jessup. Also the location is kind of interesting to get to but once you've gone once it'll be a breeze to get to again. They do have a parking lot which I appreciate, and the office is very cozy and clean inside as well!
