5/16/2019 Update I have continued to go to this office…read morebecause it's close to my home and they offer later hours. My experience has improved and I'm much happier as a patient. I like that the hygienist took the time to teach me how to properly use my new electric toothbrush as incorrect usage was causing me some issues. I feel much more comfortable being a patient now. Previous post: I have tried several times to respond to the survey request that I received after my visit, but it always seems to have "technical issues", so here is my summary... Everyone was nice, but I didn't like that I made an appointment to see one doctor and was switched to another without any notice. I was also surprised to be told I needed so many fillings when I've only had 1 other in my life. I read a review that this was a concern of another patient, so that raises my concern that maybe I didn't really need all of them. I also asked about braces and was told that I would be scheduled for a consultation with the orthodontist, but that never happened. Lastly, I was a little surprised not to be given a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. That seems to be pretty standard and most dentist offices, and as this was my first visit, this was disappointing. I mentioned when I scheduled my visit and when I came in for my appointment that I was wanting to switch from my old dentist; I would have thought knowing this would have alerted staff to be a little more attentive to things, but that wasn't the case. All in all, everyone was nice and the office is lovely, but I'm not sure that makes up for the slightly disorganized nature of how things seem to run. I will say, I've only been once, so I suppose it's possible they were having an off day.

My insurance was billed an unusually large amount for a routine cleaning, which nearly exhausted my benefits in a single visit. I returned for a recommended treatment plan, expecting better results, but ended up paying a substantial amount out of pocket. Unfortunately, the work performed by Dr. Yip did not meet expectations, and I ultimately had to seek care from my previous dentist to have the issue properly corrected. Based on both the cost and the quality of care, I would not return or recommend this office.

Why do I love this office? I have had two procedures: 1. Four wisdom teeth removed 2. A tooth…read moreimplant 1. It took 15 minutes. I went in at 9 am and was out by 10 am. I had no issues. 2. I went in at 1:30 pm, was given x-rays and nitrous, and Dr. Hansen noticed I was clearly anxious about the procedure. He told me to let him know if I experienced any pain, and after half an hour, I had a new artificial root. He also advised me, to the detriment of his pocket book, that the second implant I wanted wasn't necessary for my long-term oral health. Later that night, Dr. Hansen called my cell to check up on me. Yes, sometimes the nurses are sometimes curt, but the competency of Dr. Hansen surpasses any expectations I have of a medical professional. Everybody hates the dentist, surgery, and waiting in an office, but if I have someone in charge of my care, I'd rather have someone like him.

But Dr Mancin takes extra steps to make sure the patient has no pain. I know because I've been going to Dr Mancin for 28 yrs no pain & I have had numerous procedures done trust me. The billing process was INSANE…read more Service was great , What I don't appreciate is the condescending lady in the billing department calling me back months later claim that I owe more money after I said politely that I would like to call the dental insurance to make sure there wasn't an error , Insurance told me there was no error. After i called back she was rude and condescending, Then claimed I owed over $179 from the prior $132. I politely ask her is there any way you can work with me and let me pay the $132 since that's what you told me it was at first . She's smartly replied well if you did just pay it the first time we would've known the difference . I said ma'am, I'm a disabled veteran and is there anything you can do to help me out today? She said I can divide up the payments So what you're going to do for a disabled military and put his life on the line for you to sit there and run your mouth , is divided up into payments. Terrible business practices Would not recommend anyone to go there and if you do make them sign something when you go to check out saying that whatever you pay them is the final payment or they will absolutely try to add more money later on down the road It should be illegal what they're doing in their billing Department . How wrong I was, James the tech and Dr Lask are very very good at what they do. And make you feel comfortable from the time you sit down in the chair. I have had fillings be more painful than this root canal. Dr Lask explained when he started, he wanted to learn how NOT to hurt patients by technique. And again I have to say he's got it down. All I can say is if you're dentist says you need to see an Endodontics doctor make an appointment here.
