I've had thousands of dollars of dental work performed over my adult years. I am 68 years of age. The experience I had on my first and last visit with Dr Lask last month for root canal was the worst dental experience of my life! He was rude, with no compassion for the fear I expressed to him about the procedure. When he entered the room I said, " I'm afraid". His response was, "I'm John". How cold can one be? He then raised his voice at me when I suggested that I might want nitrous to calm my nerves, and said, " That's fine if you want to spend your money after I've already given you injections!!" This was after he'd given me several shots including one in my pallet which he did not warn me was coming, nor did he use a topical anesthetic before injections. I screamed out with pain. Tears rolling down my face. I could not believe he was talking to me this way. So I asked him why. He said, "you didn't was the hot test on your tooth, you didn't want the cold test!!" I had already suffered through the injections and felt I couldn't have gone through that again. So I decided to let him continue. I was so scared and torn as to what to do. He then started apologizing, stating my stress had triggered his stress and frustration. I told him I was just scared and should've asked for the nitrous sooner. When really, what I was thinking and praying, was to get out of his office and from under his care without lifelong damage and more pain. I have PTSD from the experience. If I could give Dr Lask a zero I would. read more
