I am beyond angry and disappointed with my experience at Holiday Green Cleaners…read more I dropped off my daughter's brand-new homecoming dress at Holiday Green in perfect condition. There was absolutely no black mark on the dress when I dropped it off. After they had the dress, they called me and asked if I knew there was a black mark on the front of the dress. I immediately told them absolutely not. I knew for a fact that mark was not there when I dropped it off, and I have a photograph from before I took it to them showing the dress without the mark. They told me they would try to clean it. They attempted to remove the mark twice, and after two attempts, they told me they could not get it out. I am absolutely furious about this. This was my daughter's brand-new homecoming dress, purchased specifically for an important event, and the size is no longer available. I know what condition this dress was in when I dropped it off. There was NO black mark on it. Now I am left trying to figure out what to do with a dress that has a black mark that was not there when I entrusted it to Holiday Green, and they were unable to remove it. And then, to make an already incredibly upsetting situation even worse, I had to deal with the owner's attitude. This business is owned by a husband and wife, and my interaction with the wife was one of the rudest, nastiest, and most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever encountered. She was dismissive, unapologetic, and made an already stressful situation even more frustrating. I understand that things can happen. What I expected was for the business to take my concern seriously, understand why I was upset, and genuinely try to help make the situation right. Instead, I felt like I was treated as though I was an inconvenience for even questioning what happened. I am angry about the black mark. I am angry that it was not on the dress when I dropped it off. I am angry that they attempted to remove it twice and could not. And I am absolutely furious that after all of this, I was treated with such disrespect when I tried to get answers. This was my daughter's homecoming dress. It was brand-new. It was not replaceable. I trusted this business with it, and now I am the one left dealing with a problem that did not exist when I walked through their doors. What makes me the maddest is the complete lack of accountability. If you are going to accept someone's expensive, brand-new garment into your business, you should be prepared to stand behind how you handle it. And if something goes wrong, you should have enough professionalism to treat the customer with respect and actually try to make it right. Holiday Green did neither. I will never use this business again. And after this experience, I will absolutely be telling my friends, family, and anyone I know who is considering using them exactly what happened to me. I would not trust Holiday Green with another garment of mine, period. This wasn't just disappointing service. This was an incredibly upsetting experience from beginning to end, and the way I was treated afterward made it that much worse. Holiday Green has permanently lost my trust and my business. Now, we go to a kiosk, plug in our phone number, stuff a numbered bag with our laundry and put it down a shoot like the post office. Surprisingly, it works. Two days later, I got an email and text telling me my laundry was ready for pick up. Back to the kiosk, only this time telling it I'm here for a pickup, and a conveyor belt brings the items to kiosk. My sport coat even came on a nice hanger. It's a very slick process. But I still haven't figured out how to ask for spot treatments; or choose laundry over dry cleaning. And ultimately, I got a note saying that some stains/spots couldn't be removed. Nu-Yale seems to be one of the few dry cleaners in the area, thankfully, they do a pretty good job.

I don't have a car and when a business closes in the community it creates a vacuum. There's only one other laundromat within walking distance and I won't mention their name but a quarter of their machines didn't work, the ones that worked smelled and their bathroom was always "out of order." As fall approaches I'll need to wash all my bedding and I'm grateful that Aunt Bee's is there for all my laundry needs!

And they were SO incredibly nice. Heidi the owner is one sweet woman who definitely cares for her customers. She personally called me to wish my husband a speedy recovery and issued me a partial refund for my confusion. Which they didn't have to do! So incredibly impressed with the quality and care that went into the service. The clothes were neatly packed and folded. Will for sure use them again!
