The start of the river is really close to the office which is Nice and once you are done you get picked up in a cool bus anddddd you can also write whatever you want on the bus!! The second best part was seeing the cows from the cow sanctuary bathing in the river! Would 100% go back!

We just had an awesome day on the water with the help of Stones River Kayak and Canoe. They texted us in the morning to confirm our reservation then promptly met us at the Jefferson Springs boat ramp. We were quickly outfitted an off to explore. We found lots of wildlife and pristine river banks that we were free to explore as all the land on both sides of the river is public. We spent about 3.5 hours on the water and had quick lunch break in the middle at the great park where the ramp is located that is set up with picnic tables, public restrooms and grills! The Stones River company kept in touch with us and were ready at the end of our rental to promptly collect the kayaks. We would highly recommend this company for your kayak rental needs!

Foggy Bottoms is a super cute spot with tons of charm and very friendly staff. We arrived to check in (no reservation) at 10:30am and the staff gave us a very honest warning that water levels were SUPER low. They explained the pain points of canoeing in such low water levels very thoroughly, but despite the warnings, we decided to give a go and I'm so glad we did! Because of the staffs transparency, we knew what to expect and we were prepared to encounter a few spots along the way that gave us a little trouble. All in all, it wasn't bad at all! We spent 6 hours on this 3 hour ride making tons of stops along the way to float in the inter tubes we brought along with us. Had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

I've camped with them and kayaked and it's a great experience all around! Plenty of parking, then they shuttle you to the starting point of the river. Once they get your boat into the water you make your way back and it's just such a gorgeous way to spend a summer or fall day! Pack a lunch and paddle away! Staff is kind. Fellow canoe-ers and kayak-ers are fun to talk to along the way. I think my only complaint would be that many large groups go and sometimes just sit in the middle of the river in a clump and it can be difficult to get around them. That however, is not Foggy Bottoms fault. If you are looking to get outside and do something active I highly recommend you use FB. They are convenient and a great way to spend your day. We rented kayaks & a canoe for a party of 5 for Father's Day. This was our first time seeking fun…read moreon the Duck River. We made a reservation about 2-3 weeks in advance. The staff is super friendly & helpful. We showed up & check-in was quick & easy. The bus took us to the launch point where we got our life jackets & boats. The equipment wasn't brand new but it was in great condition & worked perfectly. The employees at the launch ramp were very organized! The ride along the River has incredible views! It was relaxing & a lot of fun! The other renters were all friendly too! The river was high enough to where we didn't have to get out & walk (we grounded out a time or two) & we even had a couple spots where we picked up some speed! I wouldn't call it white water but we had small rapids!! This was a blast!! It's quite safe while still being a thrilling day adventure!

We enjoyed an amazing float down the Duck River in the River Rats canoes. We got a nice leisurely…read morebus ride and got dropped off up top. We hopped in the canoe and they shoved us off. No boating instructions were given. Ha! That said, all of the boats and equipment were in good working order. We had a peaceful, sunny trip through the water. It's a very calm river with a tiny flow, so you do have to paddle. Two and a half hours later, we were back to the shop and the boys pulled us onto the shore so we could hop out dry. A lovely time and extremely relaxing. Would definitely recommend! Bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and a hat.

We were looking for someone fun to do during our Nashville trip outside of bar hopping and found…read morethe Peddle Boat Pontoon with River Queen! We had a great time cruising down the river on the boat, and NO peddling is required! The boat fits 16 and we were comfortable with our group of 10. Our guides were awesome, blasted tunes for us and pointed out historical landmarks as we passed them on the river and gave us the history of those points. I looked at booking the larger pontoon saloon also, but ultimately I am VERY glad we went with River Queen instead. The saloon boat was jam packed with 3-4 different groups of 10+ people. We had the peddle boat all to ourselves!

They shuttled us from the end to the start and set us up and sent us on our way. once on the river we enjoyed ourselves until we realized we weren't paddling fast enough. it really took an hour to get to the end. the last 1/3 was a great way to see the Nashville skyline. once at the end they pulled us out of the water and we were on the way to broadway. easy peasy.

We had a group wanting to kayak ranging from Newbs to Expert, so we were a mixed and dubious crew for sure, but they set us up with the right types of kayak and explained everything we needed to know, including maps and tips for a great day. We spent hours on the water paddling and exploring, and even more time all grouped up as one big kayak float together laughing and enjoying the amazing day with each other, it was the best time! Next time we plan on using them for our Elk River trip, which they also do. Such an amazing day could have really tanked with a negative start, or people that weren't good at making us feel comfortable on the water and kayaks. You guys had such a positive mood, and such a helpful vibe we felt great from the start! 5 stars!

We will not be renewing our membership for the 2020-2021 season…read more In my opinion: The boats are very nice and the employees are great, but that does not make up for the fact that it is difficult to get a reasonable reservation. Regrettably it seems that the number of members has far outpaced the acquisition of boats and it is no longer worth the money as it is nearly impossible to get a reservation. This was previously a good deal but now the joining fee is approximately $3,200 and monthly fees of higher than $500. It is probably a better idea now to get you and a friend to go buy a boat rather than join this club, as one will likely be unable to get on the water with the Nashville Boat Club in any reasonable fashion. I would not join this club as of now.

That's why companies such as the Nashville Boat Club are so perfect for those of us who love to boat but prefer the almost valet-like services of a rental company. With locations on Percy Priest, Old Hickory, and Center Hill Lakes (as well as lakes around the country!) the Nashville Boat Club is a perfect way to experience boating without the hassle of boating, if you will. They have excellent and knowledgeable staff to help train you on all the different boats in their fleets (pontoons, ski boats, fishing boats...all different types) as well as the different membership packages they offer. There is a one-time membership fee (paid only once and then BOOM you're a member for life) and then a monthly payment each month for 12 months with the option to renew or take a hiatus at the end of each year (without losing membership). All in all the cost is still loads cheaper than actually purchasing your own boat. Still expensive, just not as bad. And they provide all the water sport toys you could want, such as skis, wakeboards, tubes...they have quite the setup here. No matter the time of year you can take out a boat, so long as you reserved it, from hot summer days to chilly winter afternoons. It's a really fantastic company staffed with great people willing to explain all the different options they offer to members. If you are looking to get into boating or are a seasoned water baby, this is a great place to look if you're not necessarily in the market to purchase your own boat. I am more than happy with NBC and all it offers.
