I had been studying and preparing for a year but I still felt anxious and unprepared. I reached out to Leilani and she was accommodating in scheduling me right away. She was professional and knowledgeable about her techniques. The tools she gave me helped me stay present, focused and calm during my exam. Her guidance is present in my work to this day, and I continue to implement the tools she provided. I now receive positive feedback in my field regularly! Thank you Leilani!

First off, Jen will say my being 15 minutes late and then 10 minutes late for the first and second…read moremeetings is why she reacted so poorly. Let's agree I was late. My reasons are immaterial. Second, I have no issues with the program Brain Paint because I don't know enough to have issues. What I have read is positive, but it says it depends on the clinician, which was my issue. I spent $300 to do the initial testing. She kept asking me informal questions, which I responded to, but then said we needed to hurry because she had 90 questions I needed to respond to. Why she didn't give a brief explanation and start right away with the questions, I have no idea, but it was part of how unorganized she was. She mentioned the test I was about to take went from left to right, but left off that you just keep clicking because the object was to answer correctly and to keep tapping the button to get to the other end. It became obvious after a bit, and I usually do well on this type of testing, but I felt annoyed that I wasn't prepped fully, as these initial tests provide a good insight as to where your concentration and focus are. At least that is what I gleaned from reading about the process. I couldn't understand her explanation, and I left wondering if she really understood herself, and realized that she was just a facilitator of the program. The second time I went in, she again wasn't very good at explaining what and how the program worked; it appeared to be about the ability to focus and relax. She was talking to me for the first couple of minutes of the test, and I thought that she was doing this to see if I could focus while she was talking. I finally asked her if she was talking to test me, and she said no, apologized, and sat with her dogs... who were darling but whined for most of the time it took to do the test. You have to stare at this screen of flashing lights for over 20 minutes total with 2-minute breaks. It is excruciating on your eyes. I mentioned something, and she asked me if I brought eye drops, as many people do. I questioned why she didn't mention this, and she told me she just didn't have time (because I came late), even though she had time to text me (before my appointment) and try to get me to set up more than one appointment that week. Despite the money spent, I found her so disorganized and kept thinking she needed the program more than me, so I decided to walk away. It is really hard for me to believe that she has been doing this for 9 years. I asked for a refund, and she refused. I wrote Brain Paint to ask if I could transfer my test results to another clinician, and they offered no help and told me they had no one in the area. PS. I asked her why she had no reviews on Yelp, and she told me she wouldn't pay money, so she didn't have any. Then one 5-star shows up...and guess what, I am writing a review.

Phone messages about urgent (but not 911 level) issues are ignored. She is smart, well trained, pleasant to talk to, but not responsive or responsible. Whether it is her staff or she herself is unclear. No one answers the phone for hours at a time. The message says they are with another patient, but hard to believe that, based on the staffing. Knowing what you are doing is not helpful if you do not DO it. She is elderly; maybe it is difficult for her to keep up mentally and physically (and especially) emotionally. I am in the process of making a complaint to the State Medical Board. If you are 100% healthy, no worries in the world, and don't expect to have any medical needs -- she is fine. So is any decent GP. If you need someone who cares enough to call you back as soon as you indicate a significant medical event/condition and not just leave a recording running over and over for who knows how long (over an hour today) that tells you to go to the ER (when all you really need is a prescription), she is not the doctor for you, and I am reaching the conclusion that she is not the doctor for me. I would like the State Medical Board to determine if she is the doctor for anyone. My son's GP called me back within 30 minutes. It looks like it may be as many as 30 hours before she calls me back, for the same issue. Not acceptable!
