They won't work with you if you have Kaiser Permanente Insurance so we had to switch to Cigna. They transferred my mom to Culver City Hospital after I was told she would go to Cedars-Sinai for a few days to be evaluated. Do Not let them send your loved one to Culver City Hospital ever! My mom was starting to walk with her walker before they sent her there and now she still can't walk. She had a broken ankle from a fall but was 100% healed. Physical therapy at North Valley Nursing were the only one's caring and listening to my mom. They don't record or track the patients bowel movements from constipated to diarrhea, their pain or pain when urinating and they don't track when they aren't eating. The business office asked why I didn't come to them with my concerns...what the F! Why didn't your staff pay attention and say anything to the Head Nurse for my mom! Oh, I know why...because even when I expressed to the Head Nurse that I thought mom had "another" UTI she did contact the Dr. like I asked but just told me thy were giving her Imdiom for her diarrhea. Within 4 days I get a call that they have called 911 and are sending her to the ER, she's not eating, drinking and can't speak. They even told me the wrong Hospital that the ambulance was taking her to. We visited my mom about 5 days a week as my parents live in Sunland. I hope to God that Nurse isn't still employed there. She would never look up or engage me. It was like she just wanted me to walk away. Honestly this place was recommended to us but I'm telling you be careful. My mom was severely dehydrated and in kidney failure with a bad UTI. She spent 6 days in the hospital and was more alert and herself then when she was at North Valley Nursing. Trust me when I say I have seriously thought of reporting this place. I could continue with more but I hope this gives you an idea of how poorly they cared for her. Physical Therapy cared about my mom and would always update me, love them but the people who spend the most time with our loved one's need to pay better attention to them. I can honestly say at the new facility my mom has had no UTI's or health issues. Good luck if you use this Nursing Facility.

My grandmother has stayed here and recently passed away. While collecting her stuff we asked the…read morestaff if they still had a statue of hers (which was previously in her room). We saw the staff member go back to "check" and claim they didn't have it. Months passed and we called again to check and they somehow found it shattered in pieces. We were not provided an explanation of how it became shattered and the most disgusting part of this situation is that the statue was left with her hands holding up her middle fingers (and the rest of her fingers removed). Based on how the statue is designed, it would be impossible for this to be an accident from the shattering. This deliberate action is so slimy and left a bad place in our hearts.

I was weary of taking my mother here after hip surgery from what I had already heard. I went on a…read moretour to make sure I let them know they should be on top of things. Ripsime assured me that everything was great, she even gave me her cell number in case anything ever comes up. I called her three times while my mom stayed there on separate days and she never returned my call. The facility is understaffed and overwhelmed. If you're not on top of things they won't get to you on time. My mother complained of UTI symptoms on day 2 and said the nurse told her the previous nurse was not cleaning her well and even showed her. I asked several times to get her checked for a UTI, I was told they would tell them doctor. Little did I know the doctor was on vacation and in the week that she was there she saw no doctor. Can you imagine a health care center with no doctor. I even took cranberry juice and asked them to keep giving it to her. No one did. Fast forward four days later she developed a horrible bladder infection that we caught before it reached her kidneys. If I hadn't gone in there to transfer her back to the hospital, she would have still been there waiting for a doctor with fever, low oxygen levels etc. The hospital told us that we caught it right in time and thankfully acted fast. She went in there healthy and came out with an infection that now is delaying her physical therapy and healing so she can get back on her feet. I knew I shouldn't have taken her here and I should have fought the insurance harder.

He was a active dyeing patient but still deserved respect and well treatment. I am filling a small claim for damages, stolen property, and neglections. She finally went to his room pretended to open the window so we could see him from the outside, she told us the window was "locked" and to call him instead or to come back on Monday... Tried calling him 5 times, the operator connected me to his room but the phone just kept ringing.... none of my family members were able to see or speak with him during the time that he was there. They feed them garbage food and give them sleeping pills. I'm not sure how they are still in business. It's very questionable. We asked them to pack his things so they can release him, they told us they can't lol. We had to speak with their supervisor. This place is a joke. Please reconsider if you are planning on taking anyone here.

My father was admitted to the hospital this morning, and the nurses at the ER took photographs and advised us against returning him and reporting the facility. In fact, they informed us that they are independently reporting the incident and strongly urged us to do the same. All hospital staff members expressed their disbelief at the severity of the abuse, attributing it to the prolonged period of leaving him in his own feces without changing the diaper.
