Good job, did feel a little rushed last day. A few things broken. Overall though we had a lot to move, so they did ok.

This is by far the worst moving company we have ever used. They have great ratings on UHaul but I would advise customers look elsewhere until they have help that actually value the customers belongings. We have thousands of dollars worth of damage and that's just getting big items off of the truck. We had a team of 4 guys (all were kind-which is the only positive I can say about this company) but one went missing for close to an hour. The movers packed out belongs so carelessly. During the unpacking we had boxes labeled "fragile" and "glass" and those boxes had even heavier boxes stacked on them. Brand new deep freezer was damaged. $500 electric fireplace was completely damaged. Holes in our couches both fabric and under housing due to how they threw items on it. We haven't even opened all of our boxes yet but can hear glass rattling inside. Broken vases. We have broken pictures and items that were given to us by relatives that are irreplaceable and once again, damaged beyond repair! They placed a coffee table on top of our pictures, versus putting the picture on the table! The only thing they can offer us is $0.60 per pound which is such a joke! They really should compensate us for how much we lost in this move due to how their guys packaged it. We have plastic wrapping paper which was never used! Even though we told them and furniture pads but we don't know what was used on that. Our brand new washing machine and dryer that cost close to $2k was just placed along the side walls of the truck with no padding or anything to prevent it from rubbing/bumping/hitting the metal enclosure. Once again just a careless company that did not value any of our belongings or the markings that mentioned they were fragile. read more

I had an issue with communication and the OTHER guy seemed to be agitated. Jerimiah was very professional. The young guy was good but very talkative. The move went well overal. i feel we could have finished earlier with the excessive disagreements amongst the gentleman. I think they all were tired but it got done. My 3 movers were friendly and I definitely appreciate them coming to my home during covid19. They completed the job within the time frame. However when my shipping container arrived at my new home some items were scratched because they had been stacked onto/next to something else without being protected. I rented moving blankets for every piece of wood furniture I owned and as the guys were almost done none of the blankets had been used and I had to remind them. Thankfully nothing was broken, just minor scratches. Overall I would definitely use them to unload but would not use them to load a moving truck/container. read more

When they arrived I mentioned that we really wanted to get our trailer picked up by the moving company today since it had to park on the street. I first have to say that we have moved 8 times in the past ten years. So I've see it all, the good and the bad. HighTech Movers are the best movers we've ever had so far. They showed up on time, were clean, polite, and most importantly they got everything in the house with out a scratch anywhere! We had them unload two Rat Packs on a Sunday, three movers for 4 hours. My daughter was trying to help and honestly just getting in the way and they were very sweet about it. I'm praying we don't have to move anytime soon, but when we do I'm definitely calling these guys! read more

Horrible moving experience. Three-man moving team walked into our apartment and immediately started griping and complaining that the boxes were too heavy for them (these are the same boxes, same contents that other 2-man teams had moved for me several times with good humor and no complaint). After standing around making nasty remarks to us for 30 minutes they finally moved some of the boxes with a lot of moaning and groaning and then moved the furniture. Our apartment had NO stairs and the freight elevator was right outside our door, so should have been easy. But the two older guys left their teenage assistant to do most of the work for them while they went off on long smoking breaks. Meanwhile, their company owner called demanding we spread out our stuff into more boxes, which we did, but when I told the team leader (Percy) that the boxes were light now, he just scowled, looked mysterious and refused to answer--ignoring customers when they ask questions is apparently his schtick. Finally, after disappearing for another long smoking break they come back, say the truck has no more room, tell me I should get a trailer and walk away. They never touched the boxes that we had spread out for them. Well here's the thing: there WAS plenty of room left in the truck, so I finished BY MYSELF moving the boxes (which we recombined) that these three guys said were much too hard for them to handle. Didn't need a trailer. It's bad enough that these guys were lazy and didn't finished the job--but they were rude and nasty all the way through to me and my heavily pregnant wife--and it takes real lowlifes to do that. OH AND by the way, in this time of COVID, walking close to me and my wife, the two older guys on this team didn't wear masks--only the teenager kept his mask on. Then, the owner had the nerve to charge me for the extra hour that her team spent on smoking breaks. AND Percy, before he left, stood there looking meaningfully at me expecting a tip. SORRY--I always leave big tips for teams that do the work. But in this case I saved the big tip I had saved for High Tech movers and gave it to the movers on the team at the other end--TWO guys from a different company who were friendly and professional and said not a word of complaint, except to point out how poorly High Tech had packed my furniture, and a lot of it was scuffed and scraped. SO, if you like to be insulted, left in the lurch, and have your furniture treated like junk thrown in the dumpster--by all means, hire High Tech Movers. By far the worst moving experience I've ever had. read more

Very fast but very rough with loading. If you want quick work but aren't to concerned with the quality then they will work for you. We almost couldn't fit everything in my 26' truck because once the boxes were done they just started throwing the rest of the stuff in there with no concern of how it was place. They even broke a $200 desk of mine that I can no longer use. I had to spend 2 hours after they left reorganizing the back end of the truck to get everything to fit and prevent things from moving around. They were contracted through SML and now I am having trouble with SML covering the damage to the desk. I haven't contact High Tech Movers but maybe I should to see if they will cover it. read more

They showed up bitching about that's too much stuff to load. We told them we were there to help out. They didn't pack the truck correctly too many holes plenty of room for boxes but did t do it. Didn't stack things correctly and took off the top of my washing machine and did t put it back together So if it doesn't work when I plug it back up you will be replacing it. The talked more about what needed to be done than they packed. We ended up packing most of the truck. Not happy at all and should be refunded. Will not do business with them again. read more

Don, Von, Troy, and Richard from High Tech Movers were an amazing team! They arrived a little after their one-hour arrival window but their office communicated the possible delay well in advance via phone. The team was prepared with their own appliance dolly and straps, and worked extremely hard and well together. I have a 400 lb safe that I've never seen moved into a house that smoothly in 5 moves! The team respected my items and the house, they didn't leave a scratch on anything and even helped me clean out the moving truck and hook up the car hauler. I definitely recommend them and plan on hiring then again. read more

She said she was not at work at 11:30 in the afternoon and said I gave her a headache. Hired them to move our house (pre-packed so it was just moving boxes and furniture) and our two pianos as they advertise themselves as piano movers. They punched a hole in my hardwood floors when they dropped my piano, then heavily damaged the same piano when they moved it into my house (I'm looking at $1000 for repairs). They told us to fill out their insurance claim form and we'd have it handled in 12 weeks. They've been dodging our calls for payment for almost a year now. They say they're sending a check, and of course, no check arrives. But they don't even answer our calls anymore. At the end of the move, the cost jumped up by $300 because they brought two extra people in to move the piano (they didn't need them to move it out of the house, why do you need more at the end to move it into a ground floor room?). They refused to take anything but cash immediately (5 guys vs me and my husband, yay) and it took days of badgering to get the company to send us a receipt. Please note: They're "moving helpers" not movers, so the ordinary relevant federal and state laws DO NOT APPLY to them, as I found out too late. I'll be suing for my money back. Edited to Respond: No, Shae, you claimed to be a piano mover. It even said so on your website (no worries! We have a screenshot of your old website where you claim to move pianos without the new provisions you've made with the site upgrade). There was absolutely no request to "properly crate." We did ask initially that the piano be moved upstairs, but even with the additional two people you brought in (that we of course paid substantially more for), it could not be done. The piano was damaged when your people put it downstairs at ground level because they set it on it's hinged side and tried to shove it in the door. It's still sitting right inside the door where your people left it. So no, you could not (and did not) have gotten it in at ground level safely. You didn't take *my* advice for moving it, which involved simply removing the legs, which is why it's heavily damaged. What happened to the insurance claims I submitted? Oh wait - you dodged my calls and emails after that and now you can't be found. You're a shady one, that's for certain. read more

I hired these movers for three hours labor. An hour and a half into the move, it started to thunder and lightning. Of course, I did not expect them to move during that time. However, when it stopped raining, they told me they had 30 minutes left and had to go to their next appointment. This left me with quite a few boxes and several carloads of my belongings to haul myself. I hired them because I have an arm injury and it's going very difficult for me to lift. When i set up the appointment, I specified that I needed my beds put back together. It appeared that they did so, until I laid on one of the beds and it collapsed. They did not secure the metal slats. One of the workers was very slow and did not put forth much effort. I definitely will not use them again. read more

I got their name and information from the U-Haul website as mover helpers, and booked through the website about 48 hours before I moved. They followed up within 24 hours to confirm, and on the day of, they were prompt and quick. There is a two hour minimum, and they were done within an hour. Granted, I did not have much stuff I needed help with, but everything was promptly and quickly moved with no breakage, which is awesome. Benjamin and the other guy whose name I can not remember were good natured and very friendly. I highly recommend this company to everyone. read more

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with High Tech Movers. I had two pieces break - dinning table and a ceramic vase. I wasn't bothered with this as much as I was with the fact that my watch went missing. I cannot say for sure that it was one of the movers who took the watch, but I'll leave that up to you to decide. I got in touch with the owner of the business to see how we could handle, but only response I got was "policy states that you need to secure these items". Kind of a hard thing to do when moving and impossible to keep an eye on movers as well. I can't say I would trust this business/people inside my house again. read more

Unless you want to pay for damages (which you will certainly have) out of your own pocket, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Two movers from High Tech Movers, Inc. were sent to my home to move a piece of furniture that I sold on Craigslist. (Full disclosure: I did not hire the movers myself, the person who purchased my armoire did. This is simply a review of my personal experience in dealing with the company after they damaged my home). The two moving men entered my home and assessed how they were going to move my heavy wooden armoire (which my husband had nicely moved to the front room, without incident, so they would have easy access to it). The moving men's solution was so SLIDE IT ACROSS MY WOOD FLOORS without lifting it or putting any sliders or blankets under it. Seriously. They didn't even bother to try and lift it... Needless to say, they caused several long scratches and one huge gouge in my floor. One of the movers even looked back and muttered "oh sh*t" under his breath when he saw what he had just done. No apology, No attempt to fix it, nothing. They just left. The person who purchased my armoire also witnessed the entire thing, and to her credit, did her best to rectify the situation and contact the company so that I would not have to get involved. She contacted me later and said they refused to comply and told her it was not their fault. There was nothing more she could do. I decided to contact High Tech Movers on my own accord and spoke to the owner, Shae Simpson. After telling me that it wasn't her responsibility and that they can't be held responsible for what happens to people's homes, she then tried to say it was my armoire's fault because it had a broken leg that caused the scratch. HUH?!? It's a solid wood base that doesn't even have legs!! It was in perfect condition! Before I could finish the conversation, she hung up on me. I have NEVER dealt with anyone as unprofessional, rude, or as condescending as she was. So, in summary, you're better off just pushing and shoving your furniture out the door than hiring High Tech movers. Incompetent movers and an even more incompetent owner. BEWARE! August 2016 update: In response to "Shae B.": I absolutely did receive terrible service from this company. In my review, I stated that I did not hire this company myself, I just had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with them as a result of someone else hiring them to move something that they purchased from me on Craigslist. So it may be that my name is not on file as having "hired" you. (Thank GOD I didn't pay directly for your services...You just ended up costing me money by ruining my floor). I find it very hard to believe that it is merely coincidence that I mentioned a woman named "Shae"'in my original review and now a woman named "Shae" is claiming it wasn't her company at fault... I had used this company before, so I was hoping to get the same positive experience. But instead, the movers never showed up! I had to call their number to see what was going on. The lady that answered the phone told me she messaged me through the app. Mind you, I got a text that morning stating everything was good to go. So why they couldn't text me to tell me that the movers would be late? Turns out their transportation broke down, and they had no other movers to use that day. I had already rented a truck and was packed and ready for the movers. I called again and finally got a refund. I had to hurry and find another moving company that same day. I wish I could list the other moving company in this review, because those movers were awesome!! Had their own truck, offered to move anything and everything, AND I lived in an upstairs apartment that they moved me out of! And honestly didn't have to pay much more that what I would have with hightech movers. So no, I'm sorry, but I can no longer recommend hightech movers. I'm not sure what happened over the years, because like I said-- they used to be awesome. I just hope the next customer doesn't have to go through what I went through. read more

I hired High Tech Movers via the UHaul.com website for loading a moving truck. They received my payment for my moving/loading jo which was scheduled for 6/20/14 for 2pm. They showed up at 4:30pm and were unable to complete the 4 hours that I paid for. They worked until 6pm and agreed to return on 6/23 to complete the job. THEY DID NOT SHOW UP TO COMPLETE THE JOB. They have refused to return my calls, and actually hung up on me when I called to question their estimated time of arrival for Friday. I was forced to hire new movers at short notice and also extend the use of the ABF moving truck. BEWARE -- Please note Miss Shae Simpsom that I have filed a police report for theft and have made a formal complaint with the BBB. read more
