This place is amazing. Everyone there is so incredibly knowledgeable about the sport. Our first jump class was taught by Rodney and Skip, who both ensured you had every bit of knowledge about parachuting. you were prepared for anything that could go wrong (even though it didn't) this is the only place I've heard of where you can do your first jump solo. the class was 4ish hours, but it was all worth it. I can't wait to go back and keep jumping!

Great place to skydive. I researched all of the local dropzones when I decided to skydive in 2010, and picked High Sky because of the way they operated, and how friendly they were. They are a skydiving club, not a regular commercial operation. I was amazed at how friendly they were when I went for my first jump. They fully prepared me with training that night. We had food and watched a bunch of skydiving videos before we slept in the hanger, and jumped the next morning. The jump was amazing. The scenery is beautiful and I was instantly hooked on skydiving. I did a static line jump, so it was just me and the birds up in the air. The owner guided me down via radio, and I Was met by other members of the club once I landed. I love this sport and I love this club. They have safety in mind, and won't let you jump if they don't think you're ready. They want to get you hooked on the sport. They don't act like most other dropzones and just get you on a tandem and out of their hair. They really care, and that's why they rock.

I'm SO happy I did this the whole crew is amazing and very supportive and informative for a solo dive! I'm going agine! Definitely recommending to anyone!... cuz I was scared shittles but im doing it again and so happy with the turn out! If I make this a hobby they will be faimly!

The jump itself was incredible and I can't stop thinking about doing it again.

It was so enjoyable we booked it again this year…read more Greeted by Tini the owner is a great way to start the day she has the coffee, rolls, yogurt and fruit ready for you. Shawn and Harvey were our guides and they were most excellent! From the guides local knowledge to the stories of Pikes Peak history we couldn't have had a better time. The leaves were starting to change which enhanced the beauty of the mountainside. The 4 of us were below average in biking experience. The guys fitted our bikes, helmets gave us a quick safety briefing and provided gloves, caps and vests for us to wear. It is clear they have been in the touring business for years as Every detail is taken care of for their clients. Next time we are going on the Gold Camp Road tour. Thanks for ending the ride with lunch and a glass of wine!!

Words cannot describe the amazing experience we had at Challenge Unlimited. The experience of…read morebiking down Pines Peak is absolutely worth the money. From the top: Challenge Unlimited served a pretty decent breakfast. You read "continental breakfast" and think some crappy day old baked goods and bad coffee. Not in here... Bagels, different cream cheese, fresh bananas, regular coffee and keurig coffees, plus more. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate the ride based on the skill level of the group. When going down hill there were a few of us who liked speed and the front can was definitely going fast so we could go faster. You make several stops along the way to take pics, relax, and catch your breath. In the end, you ride down to The Wines of Colorado where you have some basic lunch. Had an absolute blast! I highly recommend it to anyone.

This may not be a fair review because I failed to properly research this event (though the websites…read moreI reviewed were apparently unclear on this as well), but we drove down to the Springs for this and it was a massive disappointment. I'm leaving this review so nobody else makes the same mistake. This was more of an event that occurs a few times and not a festival. The event occurs, from what I could tell, in spurts: call it early AM launch and evening glow. I had been misled by a previous experience at a balloon festival in NY which was an all-day event with the ability to go up in a tethered balloon all day as well as half-day rides, food, games...basic festival stuff. That is not what Labor Day Lift Off is. We got to Labor Day Lift Off in the Springs at maybe 10am and there was nothing: 1 of maybe 2 dozen food vendors open, no music, no people (maybe 20 of us walking around), no balloons at all...nothing. We used the opportunity to walk the park and check out the lake, but promptly left for food and entertainment. People that have gone to this event and witnessed it seem to have had a great time, but I doubt I'll attempt this again...maybe we'll give the glow a chance in the future.
