My family came here to visit not knowing what to expect. It was a great experience learning how Forestiere built these tunnels so intentionally and with innovation. The guided tour is about 60 minutes and includes a lot of walking with some stairs, so be prepared with comfy shoes. However, there's also benches in the tunnels if you need a quick seat. The tour ends in the grand ballroom which connects to the gift shop. There you can find citrus sorbet made from the fruits of this garden. I had to give that a taste and it was sweet and zesty. I went home with some postcards to send to friends too. This place is also California State National Landmark No. 916! You must add it to your bucket list of adventures.

This is the perfect option for me if I'm traveling solo or with a friend. They make it so easy with pick up and drop off locations in town. I have gone to San Francisco, Moro bay, Avila beach, Monterey, and multiple trips to Yosemite. I always have the best time. I bring my snacks and sometimes a whole picnic feast on the bus. I can nap, read, or listen to music to and from the travel locations. They even stop for breaks to and from location for food and restroom access, they also have a restroom on the bus for convenience. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very professional, friendly, always helpful, and super knowledgeable. Also, make sure to bring cash so you can tip your driver. I will continue to do day trips with this company and I am excited to see what new locations they add for future adventures.

We kicked things off with a cider flight--our favorites were Early Harvest and Graveyard. Early Harvest was simple, crisp, and just sweet enough, while Graveyard reminded me of a Scottish smoky cider aged in whiskey barrels. I do wish there were a few more sweet options overall and possibly a current up to date list of what's on tap somewhere online, but everything was well-crafted and flavorful! To cool off, we grabbed a cider slushy (highly recommend!) and wandered the property. We visited the goats, strolled through the apple trees, and made friends with their big fluffy Pyrenees who was living his best life napping in the shade. I picked up a bottle of Early Harvest and a t-shirt to bring back to DFW. It was the perfect stop--relaxed, local, and a great way to start the afternoon before heading into Yosemite. After our tasting, we walked through some of the apple trees, visited the cutest goats, and made friends with their big, lazy Pyrenees dog who was living his best life soaking up attention. The horses are well trained and cared for, and the staff is attentive, patient and kind. The ride was beautiful. We did a one hour tour that crossed a creek twice and went up and down hills. The staff does a verbal training and allows some time for practice--making sure that everyone is comfortable before heading out. They even stopped part of the way to check everyone's saddles and take photos. I highly recommend these stables when in the Yosemite area. As a plus, flush toilets are available at check-in.

First impressions matter, and the neighborhood around it was kind of rough. We parked and my husband immediately noticed the used condom on the floor. ... gross. Not what I want my toddler and baby to be exposed to. I said well maybe if we park behind where the gate is, it'll be better? So off we went. There are indeed two areas, a gazebo-ish area, and another picnic area that are covered and reservable. At the time of our visitation, one was being used for a birthday party. So we sat in the other one. There is a bathroom but it's not super well kept, in spite of there being an attendant at the building. Cute building though. The water fountain was pooling nasty water.. and parts of the park stank unfortunately, so it didn't work out for the purpose we came for. The best part about this park is the decoration and equipment. Fun toddler rides. My three year old loved the rocking horse and car and swings. They have quite the variety of swings and playground equipment. So the kids really enjoy it. It is clear that this park was super cute at one point. It's still cute, just not as clean as I hoped it would be. The trolley was not running but made a cute background. And the little structures around the park are nice. There is a grassy area next to one of the picnic areas. An ice cream truck came often as well.

This isn't a place. It's a 50+ mile driving trail it's not a tiny, curated, Disney or national park experience. It's Mother Nature! I seriously doubt there is anyone at the County of Fresno or Sierra Nevada tourism boards who even know this Yelp page exists. If there were, they probably would know how to fix it. The idea of a wildflower trail is: a route you can drive where you are LIKELY to see wildflowers during certain times of year. There are many variables that affect IF and WHEN you might see wildflowers. So stop looking for a hiking trail, fill up your tank (or battery), read up on central California wildflowers, bring a passenger with binoculars, and feel blessed if you are there at the exact few weeks when they are all blooming after an ideal rain season and perfectly timed spring weather.
