Fortunately, Motomaxx was able to get me in the next day and is conveniently close to the dealership where the car was. They also charged far less than some other nearby places. I came with a book, prepared to wait a while. They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. If I lived in this area , I would probably become a regular.

The owner, Taylor, is the most unhinged and combative tow truck drivers I've met. Not only is he holding my dead car without notice of location, he refuses to coordinate with insurance or with the tow company they arranged. When I called his more friendly and collegial, he said his boss was not allowing him to communicate with these parties (insurance, myself, tow company) either. He screams at you over the phone and every other word is a curse. Somehow this company exists on a list of Progressive Accident Assistance response clients, but I cannot imagine why. I notified them of this and hope they are wise enough to remove APEX from their partner listing.
