The whole shop just has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. My absolute favorite is their Maui Wowie tea, especially iced in the summer. It's honestly become part of my routine whenever I'm on that side of town. If I'm heading over to Trader Joe's, there's a very good chance I'm stopping here first for an iced tea before I shop. Their chai selection is also incredible. Everything tastes high quality without feeling pretentious. Beyond tea, they have such a great variety of spices, infused olive oils, and vinegars. The oils and vinegars are especially dangerous if you love good bread and dipping plates because you'll immediately want to buy five of them. The staff has always been kind and helpful without hovering, answering any questions I had, and you can tell they genuinely care about the shop and the products they carry.

The little store was located in a vineyard setting and was quite cozy. They carried a few gourmet food items, such as stuffed olives and of course, olive oil. But, I was stoked to find out that they sold olive oil that came in a variety of flavors. What was great is that the offered tastings of each of their flavors, by just soaking a morsel of sourdough bread. I remember buying their Jalapeno olive oil, which lasted me a long time. It definitely brought out an extra flair to whatever I had cooking. Gold Hill is definitely worth checking out if you're in town!

Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. It's small and a bit cramped but there is a lot of good stuff there. It's clean and friendly and completely locally owned.

I adore that they carry a variety of flours, nut flours, gluten-free, cassava, tapioca, as well as others. The store always smells clean. In the wintertime, there is a smell of ginger. The employees are always courteous and knowledgeable. The only con is that they do not have a store in Sparks. Best tip: Don't forget to bring your own grocery bags or cooler. I bring a cooler in the summertime. Always pack more bags than you think you will need.
