High Point Events & Catering catered my wedding and did a phenomenal job. First of all, unlike many other caterers, they did a free tasting, which I really appreciated. Second, their staff was incredibly helpful, accommodating and patient with the numerous changes we made to guest count and the menu. (thank you to Jessica for putting up with all the emails!). And perhaps most importantly, the food on the day of was still excellent. Let's be honest, bulk cooked food for 100+ people is never going to taste as good as what you get at a tasting, but this was close as you could ask for! The Texas beef brisket was still so tender, flavorful and juicy, and the Peruvian chicken was similarly juicy and not over cooked (and chicken is so easy to and so often overcooked). All the desserts were also excellent but the bread pudding especially was amazing. We heard praise from numerous guests about the food especially about the brisket and bread pudding! And throughout, the bartenders and serving staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. On top of all that, the price was very very competitive. Nothing went wrong and we could not have asked for a better wedding caterer. Would highly recommend!! read more

Came here with my family for my dad's company picnic. The food is well organized (all options are labeled clearly) and they had vegan options! I had a veggie burger, corn on the cob, fries, and watermelon. The crab looked delicious. The pavilion area is also really nice, perfect for picnics. read more

Just had our 40 yr High School reunion on Saturday and it was perfect. Everything went off without a hitch. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful from the time we booked our event until it was over. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was awesome. I highly recommend this venue. Thank you High Point for making our reunion memorable! read more

I am not great at wedding planning. I'm not really into details and tend to just wing it... not the best approach when you're hosting 200 people at a venue that is a bit complicated to navigate. I can say without equivocation, that our wedding was so fantastic, seamless and perfect mostly because of High Point. From the very beginning conversation when Geoff pointed out a bunch of things to look out for and gave really great advice and opinions, to the day of the wedding when Jocelyn brought us a plate of our appetizers, warned me very discreetly when things weren't going according to the timeline, and made sure the drunk groomsmen left the wedding with their wallets (no small feat). I really got the feeling that she cared about making everything how we wanted it, not pushing her ideas on us, but was always willing to give an honest opinion when asked. These people know what they are doing and they do it so well and without the pretension that you get from a lot of companies around DC. We had so many compliments about our food - Get the mac and cheese, it's always a crowd pleaser! We also used them to do our rentals, we might have been able to save a little bit of money doing it another way, but it was so worth it to use them because they really took care of everything. I didn't need a wedding planner and I'm so glad Geoff encouraged me not to get one. I didn't once worry about a thing because I knew High Point had it covered. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I consider my self an expert when it comes to hosting parties so I set my expectations high in the sky and high point catering totally went above and beyond! We held a party for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday in Silver Spring MD this past weekend. We wanted to have a late afternoon party so I was not sure how to plan the food- is it dinner? is it lunch? is it too early to drink? Natasha (our overly awesome event planner at High Point) was so helpful, and SO right! She recommended a different type of menu completely to include heavy appetizers that everyone could easily grab that were filling and delicious. We got SO many compliments on the food. Crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops, chicken egg-rolls, and a cheese plate that was to die for were just a few items that impressed people of all ages that were there. Old people are picky! I had so many people ask who catered the event. Besides the food (which was not only a good quality but was served at peak temps to perfection) the service was worth every penny. Ashley and Dan came about an hour and a half EARLY to setup. Totally put us at ease and took care of any anxiety I had. They setup and replenished food throughout the entire party so it was fresh and never ever empty! They were even nice enough to help pass out champagne for toasts and get people things when they needed them. They cleaned up and left the party room completely ready for us to just leave and enjoy the after-party. I really appreciated the good service. Without spending a ton of money we felt like royalty thanks to High Point Events. I would recommend them for any event you are hosting, big or small, save yourself the sanity and trust a company like this! read more

I had an event at Highpoint Farm last week. They did an amazing job. Planning the event was so easy. Everyone I spoke with was so helpful. I asked for several quotes and changes and they would always get back to me in a timely fashion. The event was a picnic for families in a group. Probably 200+ people. (But I believe they plan all sizes of events). The food was delicious. (We had them cater a previous event and the food was delicious so we looked into the farm for future events.) They offer so much as far as entertainment goes. We had a clown, face painters, field games, arts and crafts, a hayride, and a rock climbing wall and zip line. Everyone had a great time and raved about how wonderful the entertainment and food were and how energetic and friendly the people were. Thank you Highpoint for an amazing event. We'll definitely be booking future events with you. read more

We used High Point to cater and coordinate our barn wedding two weeks ago and it was perfect. We worked with Christa and found her to be incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our planning process and she was wonderful the day of. As we put our plans together, Christa made some great suggestions and incorporated everything we wanted. There were never any surprises and she was really helpful with working to fit our budget and still getting all of the things we wanted. On the day of, everything ran perfectly with no stress at all. Christa and her team took care of setting everything up, so we didn't have to do anything there. The food was terrific. All of the servers and bartenders were friendly and helpful. We couldn't have been happier! read more

My family's experience with High Point was wonderful! The staff was able to accommodate all of our requests and made the process as easy as possible. On the day of the event, the staff arrived early, came prepared, kept everything filled, and the clean up as seamless. read more

What a beautiful, picturesque venue for an outside wedding, the High Point Catering in Clarksburg Md. Picture a decorated trellis before rows of white chairs nestled in grassy area in front of a pond and that is where my son and daughter in law were married. The reception was located in the rustic and beautifully decorated barn. I can't say enough about the delicious food and outstanding service , attention was given to every detail. Again, a five start event! read more

We used HighPoint Events for my companies "end of the year" picnic & was impressed from start to finish. Great Staff & Location. Will be back read more

My wife and I chose High Point Catering for our June wedding. Christa and her staff exceeded all of our expectations. They were extremely professional the entire time and ensured that everything went smoothly. On the days and weeks leading up to the event, Christa was unbelievable. She was so good at making sure every detail was accounted for and gave us so many good ideas. We went to the location for the testing and it was great. We chose a buffet style reception, which we had doubts about. Somehow they cooked the food perfectly. The chicken was never dry and the steaks were so good. We were able to drop off the alcohol and decorations at their location a few days before the event. When the day came we didn't have to worry about anything. If you are planning an event and live in the DMV, don't hesitate to choose High Point Catering. read more

I used HighPoint for our Wedding in July. It's tough to stay in budget when your having a Wedding in the DC area. Christa and her team at Highpoint went above and beyond our expectations. We had Brisket, Salmon and Herb Crusted chicken, buffet style: I've heard non-stop rave reviews from friends and family members. Glen Echo Park is not always easy to work with as the National Park Service has large number of restrictions aimed at preserving the park; Christa's experience in this matter was invaluable. She continued by playing quarterback on the day-of (no wedding planner) ensuring everything was set up and everyone was out of our hair. Honestly, I can't think of a way they could have improved their service or our reception. read more

Run! Do Not Walk away from this establishment! They will sell you out to the highest bidder even after they commit to the date and the specific site! We had a date and the site agreed upon, and were working on the menu, when all of a sudden we were told (in response to an e-mail) that our site had been booked by somebody else! At that point we have been working on our event for more than a month! There was no phone call, no apology from the management. Dishonest and disreputable is a kind description of this business If that is how they treat the client before the event, I shadder to imagine how will they treat you on your big day - whether a wedding or any other celebration. You, and I deserve better, way better! read more

I can't say enough good things about High Point. For an affordable cost, they held our hands as we planned our wedding, and gave us confidence that our guests would have a great dinner at our reception. Bob was enthusiastic and friendly. I loved that they grilled much of our food on site. Christa is detail-oriented, so friendly, and has a great relationship with the venue representative (our reception was a Glen Echo). In forecasting disasters for the wedding day, never once was I concerned the food or drinks would be a problem. On the day of, we left all the table decorations, and the High Point staff made the Bumper Car pavilion look lovely. When we got there, our guests were enjoying the well-staffed bar, and the food was just great (I could go for some of that salmon right now). read more

OMG! High Point Farm Events and Catering did such a fabulous job on my husbands Surprise 50th Birthday Party!! Christa and Bob were so easy to work with and the rest of the staff was amazing and super helpful. The night went off without a hitch. High Point is no joke...My guests are still raving about the party...They all had a blast!! Awesome and beautiful venue, great staff, fantastic food=All around A+++. Thank you again High Point Events! You guys ROCK!! read more

If you want to eat molding bread and work with rude people this is the place for you. First off we were working with Geoff and he was great. If I asked for something he would he give or he would respond in an polite way saying it couldn't be done. Then something happened with Geoff halfway through and no one at high point contacted me. I had to contact them asking what was going on cause I hadn't heard anything in a while. Then Christa took over. She knew nothing about my wedding at all and if I wanted to do something she was always against it. She acted like it was her own wedding. At this point I almost changed caters, I should of, but it was too late. The one person from that company that was great was Natasha who did everything on our wedding day. By the way yes they changed our person once again. On our wedding day dinner was late, like an hour late. Then I found out they served moldy bread to my guest. When my mother-in-law called they did nothing about it. If you choose them be ready to go through hell. read more
