As the game day went on, the lot became full and they opened up a 2nd lot on a dirt/ gravel road. For our afternoon game, we were lucky to score another spot in the main lot near the entrance. Parking is a Game of Luck. The venue was kept clean and orderly. Staff was very kind upon arrival. This venue is not appropriate for large tournaments due to the lack of seating and parking. Otherwise, I don't have complaints. I brought my stadium seat for extra comfort and made the best I could out of the experience. For those traveling far, Bojangles is nearby and easy to get to for Breakfast or lunch. If not, they have a Concession stand called "Ben's Boys" who serve plenty of options, even Smoothies. The only thing missing that would be helpful is a Parent's Lounge with a charging station and comfortable seating in the area not being used for the other sports courts. This would be a classy touch. We travel far, spend a lot of money, and deserve to recharge.

For starters, The Nutcracker, put on by UNCSA, is an absolute 5 stars. The performances on stage were fantastic. The orchestra was great. The ushers were very friendly and helpful. If you have never seen UNCSA's The Nutcracker then you are missing out. Highly recommend. Of course, it is only during the Christmas season. You can get tickets online and pick your seat from their web site. They do sell snacks and drinks (including wine), at least for The Nutcracker. Also, Nutcracker items are also for sell, They do take plastic. Regarding the Stevens Center. Loved the building. Seating was comfortable. Aisles for the seating are narrow so expect to have to standup to let people by. Two levels, orchestra and balcony levels. I personally have not had a bad seat. Only downside is if you get a big headed giant who sits right in front of you, but this can happen at most venues. So why 4 stars and not 5 for the Stevens Center? 1) The entrance lobby is small. For popular events, it is too small to handle the crowd trying to get in. I will give credit to the staff for efficiently processing the tickets. 2) The orchestra level lobby is also small. Very crowded as everyone is waiting to get in and during intermission. 3) Not enough restrooms to handle capacity crowds. When intermission starts, you better run to the restroom otherwise you can be in a line 20 people deep. Despite the minor downsides, probably due to it being an old historic building, it is a great venue.

Visually, it's beautiful! The art that is scattered around as you walk through the building adds to the museum like atmosphere. The main theatre where the performances take place is gorgeous and feels quite cavernous, however the seating isn't amazing, gorgeous, and it's CERTAINLY NOT cavernous. The seats are crammed together. I didn't measure, so I can't be sure, but I would say they must be significantly closer together, with less legroom than airline seats. Fortunately, the performance was so entertaining, that I was able, to a large extent, to ignore the painful seating.

I have been to Theatre Alliance multiple times and every show I have seen is spectacular even for the small space on the little stage. There is a small lobby, a fully stocked bar and a great helpful staff. The layout is very well organized and a great use of space. I didn't feel too closed in and there was a great ventilation system. The actors were very professional and very polished and I was amazed at how they managed to pull off a play called "Groundhog Day". Afterward we stayed to have our picture taken w the cast, what fun! There is an upstairs theater as well that they use for bigger productions I assume. Can't wait to see their next production, you can't go wrong for an excellent quality play and $21 ticket!

The parking deck allowed for entry to the building from the 3rd deck. Elevators are available, however I took the stairs for a more scenic route. I didn't feel cramped, likely because I was seated on the end of a row. Even with a mostly full house, my view of the performers was not obstructed. I wasn't sure which dates would be available but was able to obtain tickets to the Wednesday show. From start to finish the staff was extremely helpful. It was nice to see an actor from some films I'd previously seen on a different platform. Though I didn't partake, the bar was stocked with small snacks & beverages, both non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages. There was also seating on the second level above the bar area to relax or even grab a drink before the show.

Where the venue fails is the level to which they take advantage of patrons. With people paying $75 for nose bleed seats, having to also pay $30-$40 for parking is absolute robbery. In addition, concession prices are at an all time high with basic, crappy, watered down beers costing $17. I find it very disappointing they take such advantage of people just looking to have a nice night out. It has certainly been a deterrent in going to other events for me, and I'm sure others as well. They need to do better by their patrons, and stop take advantage of the people keeping their lights on

My bonus son's activated in the parking lot and my husband's never came up either. I emailed chick Fil a (never heard back) and the gargoyles (never heard back).
