As an event space, the First Horizon Coliseum is a great space. They have plenty of seating, ample bathrooms and variety of concession stands, and a massive parking lot. My wife and I recently attended the Journey concert at the stadium and had a great time. Getting in and out of the venue was a breeze, security and ticketing were easy to get through. Where the venue fails is the level to which they take advantage of patrons. With people paying $75 for nose bleed seats, having to also pay $30-$40 for parking is absolute robbery. In addition, concession prices are at an all time high with basic, crappy, watered down beers costing $17. I find it very disappointing they take such advantage of people just looking to have a nice night out. It has certainly been a deterrent in going to other events for me, and I'm sure others as well. They need to do better by their patrons, and stop take advantage of the people keeping their lights on read more

Finally attended my first hockey game EVER! It was a great time! There would've been a few more options if concessions but it's just a hockey game. The Gargoyles did score in the last 5 minutes of the game - which means all attendees get a free chick Fil a sandwich in the app. Well, my app never updated to load the freebie before we left the arena. My bonus son's activated in the parking lot and my husband's never came up either. I emailed chick Fil a (never heard back) and the gargoyles (never heard back). read more

Last night I attended my very first Greensboro Gargoyles ice hockey game and it was a blast!! First horizon Coliseum is a very nice place. The staff here is kind and very helpful if you have any questions about your tickets/ seats. They offer a lot of different concessions here giving you a lot of different food options. Parking was very good as well luckily we got a front row spot and parked right at the door! read more

What an absolutely amazing night with Trans-Siberian Orchestra at First Horizon Coliseum. The show was on a completely different level with the music, lights, and pyrotechnics. TSO ROCKED! The venue itself has its ups and downs, but overall it worked well for this type of performance. Seating was very comfortable, and with the two stage setup there really wasn't a bad seat in the house. Staff throughout the stadium was great too. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful, which isn't always the case at large venues. Food and drinks were fine, but I expected a little more variety. We grabbed a water and a couple of soft pretzels. Then found out there was no cheese sauce. Kind of odd when the stand right next to us was serving nachos with cheese. So yeah, 2 large plain (but really moist) pretzels and 1 water with no dip for $19 had to do. Mark ups at a large event like this to be expected. Parking coming in was a bit all over the place, but it moved quickly so no real complaints there. The $30 parking charge on the other hand felt steep. For TSO, we let it go after because the show was that epic. It would be pushing it if they charge that for every event here. Leaving the parking lot was the real surprise. It actually took less time to get out than it did to get in. Police and staff had everything flowing like a well oiled machine. It made the end of the night feel smooth instead of chaotic, which is very rare in my experience. Overall, the Coliseum lands at a 3-4 star range, depending on what you value most at a large venue like this. But the TSO experience is easily 5+ and worth all the negatives the venue had. If you're into big theatrical shows with huge sound and visuals, and dual moving stages, this is one you don't want to miss when they come back in town. read more

This is my 2nd visit to First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro. I attend basketball tournaments frequently as my daughter participates in AAU basketball. The staff here is friendly and professional. Parking was $10 and allows you to enter and exit as you wish during the event. Parking is plentiful. The air conditioning was comfortable and seating was as well for our tournament with cushioned conference chairs. I do wish they would work on the concessions offered here. At 9:00 am we have no interest in eating cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. Why not have someone at concessions offering breakfast food, smoothies, tea and coffee ? All the money Insider Exposure earns from ticket sales alone, but they cannot offer decent concession food ? We had to leave the venue and venture off to purchase fast food. This could leave more money in their pockets . read more

Disclaimer: I had only ever driven through Greensboro so I had no experience with this city whatsoever. We didn't come in from the interstate so it was difficult figuring out where to park. It was actually pretty frustrating. And then the lines seemed SO LONG. But it moved quickly. Then we got to the gate...THIRTY DOLLARS TO PARK???? This seemed crazy at the time. But we parked really, REALLY close. It was so nice when we left the show and didn't have very far to go. We purchased tickets in 128 for the Brandon Lake concert...should have chosen 127 but we'll know that for next time. I still feel like we had excellent seats. Everyone we interacted with was great. Super friendly! They helped us find our seats and were very pleasant answering questions. Overall, very satisfied with this venue. The concert was beyond amazing and I hope we'll be able to do it again next year! read more

It is scary to say the least. The venue for the event I attended had patrons leaving all from the same exit. In the same token no one was limiting the access to street vendors from blocking door ways. It was truly a security chaos if something was to happen. read more

Had the privilege of seeing Boys II Men, Toni Braxton & New Edition! If you decide to park expect to pay $30. They do not accept cash. The staff were sort of rude upon going through security. The venue itself has been updated over the years with newer seats so that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. The bathrooms are not that great but considering it had heavy traffic last night that was a possibility. The lines for food and drinks were long but the line did move rather swiftly. If you decide to purchase from the vendors expect to spend about $40+ as just one drink is $15-20+. Overall, it was a nice experience just make sure to leave a little earlier going and coming from the venue so you will miss traffic! read more

Great experience here for the NCSU/Ole Miss game. While I disagree with a place charging for parking at their own facility at least it was cheaper than Lenovo in Raleigh. The flow going in was well organized with any waiting taking place indoors instead of out, great in cases of bad or cold weather. Bathrooms were plentiful, seemed to have plenty of food options. Seats were more comfortable and roomier than most coliseum seats. read more

Came today for a Spanish rock concert. We got here early so parking was a breeze. Concert is at 8:30, we got here at 6. We got in line at 7 because it started getting long. Doors opened at 7:30. Security had made 3 lines, we got on the one all the way to the left. That was a mistake, as the line began to move, we had a lot of people come in off a ramp to the left of us and cut everyone who had been patiently waiting off. Once o side, we had people coming up the stairs near the elevator, also cutting our line and making it chaotic. I must say that the process to go through the metal detectors is now more modern and efficient. Security did a great job there. Ticket takers were also very quick and efficient. The hallways were pretty clear with everything marked appropriately. Seats are very tight, not much leg room and no cup holders. Eating and drinking are a challenge, so I just drank. Venue itself is ok, Videoboard is a bit small for the coliseum. Sound was good. I will definitely catch another concert here if needed, but definitely not my 1st choice. Employees are all great, at least the ones we interacted with. I was curious why we had English pop music on while waiting for a Spanish rock concert to start??? Come check them out, you won't be disappointed! read more

Saw a show here recently and had an OK time, but there were a few different problems that came up. First, parking was pretty expensive at $30. Since we were early, we snagged a parking spot right next to the venue, but it was initially unclear which venue entrance we were supposed to use for our tickets. We just kind of wandered around until we found other people waiting near a door. This worked out for us, but attendees for a meet-and-greet were supposed to use a different entrance, and there were no signs telling them this. An employee would pop their head out every 30 minutes or so to tell the crowd that the meet-and-greet attendees needed to use a different entrance, and then a bunch of people would leave the line and try to find the other entrance. Didn't seem like the best way to communicate the information to me :) Anyway, we were excited to finally enter the venue after waiting outside for a while, and they had a pretty decent variety of food options. We ended up springing for the tacos, and they were mediocre and overpriced, as expected :) Drinks were also quite overpriced, of course. The lines got very long quickly, so I'd recommend you line up and order everything you want ASAP. The third floor (where our nosebleed seats were located) had popcorn and canned beverages available, but most of the good stuff was on the second floor. Our nosebleed seats actually weren't too, too far away from the stage, but unfortunately the lighting rig (and I think a speaker?) partially blocked our view of the screen and the stage, which was a little unfortunate. The sound mix was pretty bad for most of the show as well. Of course, after the show ended, there were a million people trying to leave at the same time, so it was pretty hectic exiting the parking lot, but I expected that :) Overall, I'd only come back to this venue if I really loved the artist performing. read more

The QUEENS concert was basically good. I attended with a friend who is handicap and was giving prior instructions on where to go for wheel chair assistant. However, there was a long walking from the handicap parking lot & the wait time for customer service was extremely long. My friend Nearly fell out. I would not recommend this venue if you have a handicap all all. read more

Parking is a mess! $30 and not enough people directing traffic after the event. Total chaos. Seats are small and too close together. I was seated next to a person of great girth and had to share my seat with her. I dont blame her as the seats are too close and small. As many have said leg room is tight like an airplane and no cup holders. Definitely much room for improvement. Do better FHC. read more

FHC has two issues that will keep us from attending any other event. I would suggest others people select another venue to attend events. First, little to no directions or signage telling you where you enter. The biggest issue of the two, the seating, we were there for a 2 1/2 hr event and the seats are so close and cramp, we couldn't wait for the event to be over and it was a great event. Legs were so bent and no room to "open them up" we both had cramps and sorenesS! I'm 6'3" and she is 5'7", again, both of us were so uncomfortable just after 30/45 minutes. For Andrea Bocelli concert, the north side elevator was not working at all. The staff took us all the way to the other side of the coliseum where the maintenance crew go. Then to find out that our seats were right by the north entrance on the first floor. It was a terrible situation for people with wheel chair, or walkers. Specially, where the average age for this concert was 65+. read more
