It is scary to say the least. The venue for the event I attended had patrons leaving all from the same exit. In the same token no one was limiting the access to street vendors from blocking door ways. It was truly a security chaos if something was to happen.

Disclaimer: I had only ever driven through Greensboro so I had no experience with this city whatsoever. We didn't come in from the interstate so it was difficult figuring out where to park. It was actually pretty frustrating. And then the lines seemed SO LONG. But it moved quickly. Then we got to the gate...THIRTY DOLLARS TO PARK???? This seemed crazy at the time. But we parked really, REALLY close. It was so nice when we left the show and didn't have very far to go. We purchased tickets in 128 for the Brandon Lake concert...should have chosen 127 but we'll know that for next time. I still feel like we had excellent seats. Everyone we interacted with was great. Super friendly! They helped us find our seats and were very pleasant answering questions. Overall, very satisfied with this venue. The concert was beyond amazing and I hope we'll be able to do it again next year!

Had the privilege of seeing Boys II Men, Toni Braxton & New Edition! If you decide to park expect to pay $30. They do not accept cash. The staff were sort of rude upon going through security. The venue itself has been updated over the years with newer seats so that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. The bathrooms are not that great but considering it had heavy traffic last night that was a possibility. The lines for food and drinks were long but the line did move rather swiftly. If you decide to purchase from the vendors expect to spend about $40+ as just one drink is $15-20+. Overall, it was a nice experience just make sure to leave a little earlier going and coming from the venue so you will miss traffic!

Came today for a Spanish rock concert. We got here early so parking was a breeze. Concert is at 8:30, we got here at 6. We got in line at 7 because it started getting long. Doors opened at 7:30. Security had made 3 lines, we got on the one all the way to the left. That was a mistake, as the line began to move, we had a lot of people come in off a ramp to the left of us and cut everyone who had been patiently waiting off. Once o side, we had people coming up the stairs near the elevator, also cutting our line and making it chaotic. I must say that the process to go through the metal detectors is now more modern and efficient. Security did a great job there. Ticket takers were also very quick and efficient. The hallways were pretty clear with everything marked appropriately. Seats are very tight, not much leg room and no cup holders. Eating and drinking are a challenge, so I just drank. Venue itself is ok, Videoboard is a bit small for the coliseum. Sound was good. I will definitely catch another concert here if needed, but definitely not my 1st choice. Employees are all great, at least the ones we interacted with. I was curious why we had English pop music on while waiting for a Spanish rock concert to start??? Come check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Great experience here for the NCSU/Ole Miss game. While I disagree with a place charging for parking at their own facility at least it was cheaper than Lenovo in Raleigh. The flow going in was well organized with any waiting taking place indoors instead of out, great in cases of bad or cold weather. Bathrooms were plentiful, seemed to have plenty of food options. Seats were more comfortable and roomier than most coliseum seats.

This was our first time attending a hockey game. We invited a few friends and we were really impressed with how well everything was put together. The Greensboro Gargoyles will only get better with time. We will be back to support them!

The coliseum always has the best concerts. I would've liked for the doors to be open more than an hour in advance because the concession lines were long. Staff was nice and we had great seats. The sections were clean and the hallways weren't crowded. Everything started on time and leaving was a breeze.

We arrived at 8:30 am for an early game. As the game day went on, the lot became full and they opened up a 2nd lot on a dirt/ gravel road. For our afternoon game, we were lucky to score another spot in the main lot near the entrance. Parking is a Game of Luck. The venue was kept clean and orderly. Staff was very kind upon arrival. This venue is not appropriate for large tournaments due to the lack of seating and parking. Otherwise, I don't have complaints. I brought my stadium seat for extra comfort and made the best I could out of the experience. For those traveling far, Bojangles is nearby and easy to get to for Breakfast or lunch. If not, they have a Concession stand called "Ben's Boys" who serve plenty of options, even Smoothies. The only thing missing that would be helpful is a Parent's Lounge with a charging station and comfortable seating in the area not being used for the other sports courts. This would be a classy touch. We travel far, spend a lot of money, and deserve to recharge.

As a graduate of High Point Central High School, I made many visits to the High Point Athletic…read moreComplex as a student and fan of the HPC Black Bison football and soccer teams. Both of my older sisters also went to HPC. One of them was a cheerleader and got injured in a fall during a routine at Simeon Stadium here. I remember my parents and I were eating dinner at the buffet at Quincy's on Westchester Drive when it happened. The High Point Athletic Complex consists of the Ed Price Baseball Field (500-650 seats), eight soccer fields (the biggest one with 600 seats), a track and football field (1,500 seats), a multipurpose practice field, and A.J. Simeon Stadium (10,000-15,000 seats). The latter is home to both the Central and crosstown rival T. Wingate Andrews football teams. The City owns and operates the entire complex, except Simeon Stadium, through its Parks & Rec department. Guilford County Schools owns and operates Simeon Stadium so the football stadium is technically not city property. We made headlines my freshman year at Central because the kicker on our football team was female: Snow Brenner. She went on to play soccer for Duke and is now an orthopedic surgeon. Her younger brother, Wich, was my year (class of 2000) and he was the kicker our senior year when we won the North Carolina 2-A state championship. Central went 15-0 that year (1999). Wich went on to kick for Texas Tech. The year prior to winning the state championship, I recall the disappointing playoff loss we suffered at home to eventual champion Shelby. The year we graduated, the team we beat to win the state championship, Southwest Onslow, won the title. During that time, the PA announcer at Simeon Stadium was Larry Craven. I recognized his voice because he was the news director at 1230 AM WMFR (High Point). Simeon Stadium on Friday nights in the fall was the place to be for high school football. I took one of my cousins from California, who was visiting colleges on the East Coast at the time, to a football game here and she loved it. Parents liked to get tipsy in the parking lot/field too. I'm glad I got to experience it and I still like to tell people how my high school won the state championship in football my senior year. As for HPC soccer games, my friends and I had too much fun, especially with the opposing teams; Lexington City Schools being among them. Shenanigans were had and I'll leave it at that. :) Note: Depending on where you look, the seating capacity numbers for the complex's facilities can vary which is why I have some ranges listed above.

We chose to purchase from the concession stand. Now here is where the issues come in. 1 - The guy checking tickets was not polite or friendly. Did not greet us even after I spoke to him twice. 2 - The theatre had a slight smell. That's how I knew the carpet and seats had not been cleaned. Ick! Not my type of place.

I like the grand at friendly for the simple fact that we can go to dinner in friendly and the movie theater is right there. I was surprised that they had so many cool things you can buy at the snack counter. They've come a long way since the last time I was there in that regard. The staff was also super friendly which I appreciate. As far as our movie experience I love the reclining seats and how roomy it is. Someone forgot to turn the lights off when the movie started so all of the previews and the first five minutes of the movie were in the bright lights but they eventually went off. The bathrooms could use some attention. Some of the doors don't lock and some toilets need unclogged and cleaned. Overall we had a good experience and will be back!
