Upon speaking with Anthony over the phone, he was able to sort out what he could do for me. I was priced at $296 for a flatbed towing truck and asked Anthony to drop me off at a location 17 miles away. Initially I was willing to pay for his service ahead of time but Anthony preferred I paid him in person, which is perfectly fine with. The day of service, Anthony communicated well by informing me when his previous job would end and when he would be arriving. Something I was pleasantly surprised by. After my car was hooked up to the truck, our 17 mile trek began. The drive was smooth and safe as he made careful driving decisions. All the while, we held nice conversations throughout the commute about one other's lives. Unfortunately, the location I was dropped off at did not have good cellular service so I had to pay Anthony a few hours later. He accepted Zelle payments so make sure you have service where you're being dropped off at to avoid my audition. We have hired Armando multiple times, and each time, he scammed us of money. He said there was a "5% zelle fee" one time and then upped it to a "10% zelle fee" the second time we asked. He also stated that the $400 extra would have to be negotiated with his "supervisor" because he "wasn't in charge" of the prices. And told us to contact the number we initially contacted him with -- implying that the person on the number 909-816-1167 was not him. Even though we called that exact number to ask him if he got the correct address and knew where our trailer would be towed. We spoke DIRECTLY to him with that number!!!! I would not continue to provide service to someone so greedy, that lies and takes advantage of young women. To think you'll be able to get away with something like this without being put on blast is incredibly insulting. He said that if I did not want to be charged the after hours fee, then I would need to make sure to arrive the next morning before 9:30am so that I would only be charged for 2 days (48 hours) instead of 3 days. When I arrived at 8:15am this morning, I was told that they charge by "calendar days" and will be charged for 3 days, even though my car was there for less than 48 hours. I spoke with the "manager" who could not provide proof that their policy defines "a day" is a "calendar day" versus "24 hours." What's interesting is that their policy does say that they charge a lien fee if your car is stored for over "72 hours," but not "3 days"?? So she said that she'd "do us a favor and waive the lien fee," which again is bullshit since my car was there for less than 72 hours! On top of that, it was very obvious that they rummaged through my vehicle glove compartment as my passenger seat was pulled forward to get to it and my registration and insurance card were on the seat. I don't know why the CHP is doing business with such a shady company in the first place. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, even to my worst enemy. My car battery unexpectedly gave out while it was raining hard and I was stranded in a parking lot. Jose N. called me within seconds of the service order and was super calming over the phone. He confirmed my location and gave me an estimated ETA. He arrived earlier than expected. Jose was very professional, took the time to diagnose the issue and even explained the issue to me. He gave me great recommendations. Even though he couldn't replace the battery for me, he was able to jump start my car within a few minutes and I was able to drive my car to the dealership to get a new battery. "I just need an address man," then later, "So you are not at the actual location you said you were," with a real make-you-feel-dumb attitude. Dude came for a battery service? Ain't no way I was gonna let him work on my Lexus.
