Last time coming back here. Walked in on Saturday around…read more2:25, not realizing shop closes at 3...however, when we sat down, we were asked if we could come back Tuesday at 7pm, because they wanted to get out on time - totally fair. We had lunch next door at the Pho place, which is great. Anyway, my husband went back Tuesday at 7, as asked, and ended up with either a new guy, or someone in training, because his hair looks uneven, awful and short. We even had a reference pic of his actual hair from another time he had it done, which was great, and shouldn't have been a problem. The original guy who told my husband to come back was busy, so he got the only other younger guy who took over an hour to butcher his head. First, he was told to come back Tuesday night after work, only to sit in the chair for an hour, just to get a bad haircut. Crap customer service. Its disappointing because we had an important function to go to this week. Never again.

If you're wondering whether it's worth driving a little farther to see Master Barber Jeremy, let me…read moresave you the suspense: YES. Absolutely. Do it. I've had haircuts before... or at least I thought I did. Turns out those were just "head approximations." Jeremy is on a completely different level. The man is basically the Michelangelo of fades except instead of carving marble, he sculpts my head into something my driver's license photo could only dream of. I drive past at least 12 other barbers to get here, and every mile is a victory lap knowing I'm about to walk out looking like a more refined version of myself the kind of man who tips better, lifts heavier, and makes better life decisions. Jeremy doesn't just cut hair; he performs precision engineering. He could probably defuse a bomb with those clippers. Or start one because that beard trim? The shop vibe is perfect too. Clean, comfortable, and cool enough to feel classy, but not so fancy that you're afraid to sneeze in the wrong direction. Jeremy somehow manages to be professional and hilarious at the same time, which is a skill set that should honestly be licensed. If you want a haircut anywhere else, sure go ahead. But if you want a haircut that makes people stop, tilt their head, and say, "Damn, who lined you up?" then make the trip. Even if you need a full tank of gas and a snack to get there. 5 stars, no hesitation. Master Barber Jeremy is worth the drive, the time, and the glow-up.

My hair can be difficult but she layered it perfectly, and listened to my admittedly poor description of how i like it. The shave was a straight razor with hot towels and shaving gel and cream that left my face feeling refreshed and not irritated. Close shave - having had hot shaves before - and she did a fine job. Pleasant conversation. The shop has a great vibe - dark, leather, and shelves lined with spirits of patrons (you can bring your own and they will tag it). They offer a glass of whisky pr bourbon on the house if you like. Overall a fine place and I will be back. Highly recommended.

But ever since I walked into Empire, I have been a regular customer, for the past two years. From the moment I walked into Empire, I felt welcomed. After that experience I have also started to take my 5 yr old there and he also felt very comfortable as the staff is extremely friendly & catering. The moment you walk in you will take notice that the place is well kept and clean. They have enough staff to keep the flow moving fairly quick as well. No matter what kind of style you are going for, I have noticed that the barbers are diverse in talent to do a great job. I personally go to Daniel but there are others in there that are very good as well. I definitely would suggest this spot to my friends and family. Give it a shot, service is great and the price is fair.

We came in excited for what should have been a relaxing, pampering experience -- a haircut and hot…read moreshave for my husband. Unfortunately, it was anything but. From the moment our barber, Jennifer, sat my husband in the chair, the energy was off. She was cold and unfriendly, and when we explained the style we were looking for, we got very little verbal response -- just a dismissive facial expression. That kind of nonverbal communication says a lot. The low point came when she asked whether a beard trim had been scheduled. I confirmed we had booked a hot shave. Her response? "He doesn't have a beard." My husband had about five days of facial hair growth -- which is exactly the kind of thing a hot shave is for. It didn't stop there. She was answering texts on her phone mid-appointment. His hair was never washed, dried, or styled. The floor around the station was covered in trash. And to make matters worse, she left the back of his shirt completely soaking wet -- which was especially frustrating because we had a party to attend immediately after. I debated whether to include this, but I feel I have to: my husband is Indian, and the coldness, the dismissiveness, and the overall lack of care left us both feeling deeply uncomfortable. I don't want to make assumptions, but I couldn't leave that unsaid. I can only speak to our experience, and it's possible the other stylists here are wonderful. But this visit left us feeling unwelcome, shortchanged, and honestly just baffled. For the price of a barbershop service, you should at the very least feel like you're in good hands. We did not.
